Mark came out and wrote me an estimate to rebuild a boulder wall that was deteriorating in my backyard. He was courteous and professional and sent the estimate via email within a few days of his visit. He said it I would be put on the work list once the downpayment was received and, after that, the work would be done 4-6 weeks later. Mark and his crew(??? I'm guessing because I never saw them) showed up 8 weeks later with no forewarning. I got home from work one day to find the wall down and a Bobcat in the backyard. I called him to go over what was going to be done since I was not able to take off work to oversee the work on such short notice. He assured me that the work that was listed in the estimate would be done as promised. It wasn't. He said that he would "Rebuild ~50x 6-7' section of boulder wall" but when I measured the length of what was torn out and rebuilt and it measured 19'(x 6-7' high). I saw no evidence of any other work done on the other 30' of wall. It certainly wasn't "rebuilt" as promised. I tried to remedy this through email but we could not come to an agreement. I talked to a friend who works in landscaping in another part of the state and he assured me the price was fair for the ~20' length of wall that was rebuilt so I will pay for that work that was done. Very disappointed that all that was promised in the estimate was not done as I had other estimates that would have done that extra work. If you choose to go with Bioscapes be sure to get a definite start date. Also, make sure you are able to be there to make sure the work is getting done as promised. Or so that they can explain what is getting done if there is a change in plans. You can't rely on the estimate itself. Overall, the work done was excellent but the whole experience was very disappointing.

We are very happy with the results! Mark Munn and his team are great to work with, and executed the plan very well. We signed the contract with them in May to get on his schedule, but they booked quickly for the summer and couldn't get to us until August. I didn't hear much about when the work would start, and called him a few times over the summer to find out what the schedule looked like. It was tough to wait, but once they started the work, they finished within three days. While they were here, Mark did a nice job of talking with me about what they are working on and what I thought about placement of the bed lines and the new trees they planted. He was very easy to talk to and discuss ideas and any changes in the plan. Our yard looks a million times better, and it will last for a long time. Thank you Bioscapes!
