 + -1 moreI just remodeled my kitchen for $75000 and I used Classic Renovations out of Green Bay Wisconsin. They finished that February 2015. There was a lot of delays and a lot of confusion and a lot of things had to be done but they did a phenomenal job. We had some mix ups but the did a good job. It was $55000 for the actual cabinet install work. The install work was an additional $15000 and some of that was a little hoaky and we had to go back on some of that stuff. It was a combination of using a cabinet company and then I was using them to install the cabinets. So you buy the cabinets and Classic Renovations were the installers. The actual cabinets came from another place.

 + 2 moreFrom the moment I contacted Phil until the end everything was better than I experienced with other contractors and even better than I expected. Phil always responded to my phone calls and emails. He came out told me exactly what they were going to do. The main part of the job was done in one day, but they came back to do a few finishing touches including moving a dryer vent. While they were here they noticed a soffit was sagging and even fixed that for me. Working with this company was a pleasure and I would definitely recommend them to anyone

Description of Work: Phil served as our GC for a remodel of our kitchen, dining room, living room, and partial bathroom remodels. Phil's team also performed much of the work in addition to coordinating the subs. Great workmanship, outstanding communication, and everything was completed according to schedule.

 + -1 moreI got a couple of estimates from them. I haven't done any work with them just yet. They are just knowledgeable. The guys that I talked to seem to know their stuff. I just remembered talking to him on the cell and he was decent. I will be contacting them again when it gets closer to fall to touch base on the work. So, it's probably going to be a better time to actually start thinking about ratings and things like that. The estimate process was fine.
Description of Work: Classic Renovations Inc. gave me a quote for an insulation and finishing off an attic.

 + -1 moreThe crew put down wood planks from the backhoe trailer to basement site to keep grass from being torn out by the movement of the equipment. They took out part of the fence/gate to get backhoe into back yard. They replaced all fencing/gate after work was completed. Part of the basement wall had to be cut with a water saw, and they hung plastic all around the area to keep the debris to a minimum, cleaned up the floor and wall nicely. The entire project took one day, and was done beautifully, they even reseeded the grass around the window well. Nice job over all, will be using them again when we finish the remodel.
Description of Work: Install egress window in basement. Have small backhoe dig out the window well for egress window, cut the basement wall to fit the new window. Took great care to ensure the neighbor's grass/yard was not disturbed by backhoe. Clean-up and replace all fencing and reseed grass.

 + -1 morePhil and his partner did an excellent, professional job on the door which has definitely added to our home's curb appeal. Price quoted was a little high but I subscribe to theory of and quot;you get what you pay forand quot;. Everything was completed fully and on time. I believe we had one slight problem with the lock days after the initial install but Phil was responsive and returned quickly to correct it. We haven't had any issues since.
Description of Work: To be fair, the work was done several years ago and I can't recall the actual price, but Phil from Classic Renovations came to install a new front door for us to replace the original one that came with our spec home.

Description of Work: I found this provider on Angies List and was recommended. I set up a time to meet with him on a weekday. He was slightly late but did call to let me know he had gotten held up at his last appointment. We went over plans to redo a partially flood damaged home that had already been remediated. So he would simply have to knock down and redo walls, windows, etc... He was to come up with a plan to knock down a part of the house and then rebuild slightly larger as well. He said it would be a week or two before he had things together for me. I followed up with an email over a month later after not hearing from him and he apologized and said he was really busy. He said if I wanted to use someone else he understood. I told him I hadn't lived in the house due to the damage and had personally thought he was a nice guy from meeting him and would still like to use him but things needed to progress sooner rather than later....... That was about three months ago and I have still not heard back from him again. In the interim I decided to sell the house "as is" and simply eliminate the headache as it was not worth the hassle of trying to track down someone to try and fix my house with my busy schedule. The house sold and even closed last week and I still haven't heard back from him. Unemployment is up but there is still plenty of people doing bad business and not following up, or following through. It's dissapointing, especially considering he knew I found him through Angies List and would be reporting my experience. I had cash and an insurance claim so it would have been easy money for them. As to my final thoughts- If you want to have to do all the contacting yourself, wait a long time for plans, and wait even longer to maybe get repairs scheduled or done then look no further-Classic Renovations is your man!

 + 0 moreThis outfit is top notch. They were prompt, courteous, and well organized. They went about the repairs in a professional and knowledgeable manner. What impressed me most was how they cleaned up the debris when they were done. Not so much as a nail could be found. Our job was pretty small, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Phil and his crew to do any sized job based on my experience. One other thing: We came in under budget. That's always nice. THANX GUYS!!!
Description of Work: Tore apart & reshingled a leaking roof valley between the original house & a 25 year old addition. Also replaced drywall in a small kitchen wall that had water damage.

 + -1 moreWe first contacted Classic Renovations in April/May of this year. Phil Mattern, the owner, was able to come to our house and give us an estimate to replace all 14 windows. He was very prompt to give us the estimate. Phil also brought his window specialist with him to get a better idea of our needs and to have a second set of eyes looking at the project. We had one other small repair project going on at the same time, but they were patient with us to make a decision. We ended up getting four different estimates for this project. They were the only ones that kept in contact with us to ask about updates on the other project. We finally finished the other project and made a decision about the windows at the beginning of August. We asked Phil for a better price, and he was able to lower the cost some. Phil made several trips to our house to make sure the stain for the windows would match our existing woodwork. The project was scheduled for the week of September 12. They reserved the whole week, but were able to bring a larger crew and finished in two days. We are pleased with the results. The windows look good, and we are looking forward to a warmer winter in our house.
Description of Work: Classis Renovations replaced 14 of our double hung wood windows. They pulled out the old windows and hauled them away. They put in prefinished, double hung, wood, Marvin replacement windows. They replaced and put in insulation around the windows and caulked everything. They clad the exterior of the windows. They were able to match the stain of the existing woodwork around the interior of the windows.

 + 5 moreThings overall went excellent. They welcomed me to work with them when possible. They worked hard and steady. When I was not there I could trust that a quality job was done regardless.
Description of Work: We were restoring an 1890 Victorian home. The main things we did was replace all siding with cement fiberboard, replaced almost all windows, replaced several outside doors, added a small addition, gutted the upstairs and moved a few walls.

 + 11 moreWe closed the loan on our new office building the day before Christmas Eve, 2009. We had only a few days before/during the holidays to interview and hire a contractor to complete a remodel of the bulding before we had to move in 2 weeks later. I interviewed 3 companies and got estimates. While Classic Renovations was a little more expensive than the other two estimates, they were the only ones who brought their electrician and HVAC contractors out to the site and did a much more extensive estimation of time and exact materials. The quality of the work was excellent, the construction workers were polite, respectful and very competent, they arrived on time and when they said they would and even worked week ends to make the deadline for us to move. We were extremely pleased with the whole process and I was in direct communication with the general contractor every day. He called me to give me updates and was on site during most of the work. I have had remodeling work done for both a business and at home before, but i have never felt the confidence and reassurance that I felt during this process. The work was done on time, the quality was excellent, I was able to make small changes as they came up and there were no big surprises at the end when the bill was presented. They came in on-budget and on-time.
