Jason was polite and professional. When it was raining the day of the appointment, he contacted me promptly in the morning to reschedule for the following day. He arrived on time and performed the work exactly as described and for exactly the quoted price. I was pleased with the warranty on the work and Jason even sent me a PDF copy of the warranty agreement for my records. I would recommend Sierra Concepts to anyone needing waterproofing work done in their basement.

We are building a new home in the Cottage Grove area. We had the foundation poured, and realized we hadn't lined up a waterproofing company for the basement. We contacted several companies, and Sierra's pricing was competitive. They also promised an incredibly quick turnaround, which was very helpful given that we were in scramble mode. They finished the job within a week of first contact, which was impressive. The quality of work was great, though there was a mix-up as far as location of the sump pit. They offered to fix it within 24 hours of my noticing which was appreciated. Even with this small snafu, we were very happy with the work they did in such a short time frame, and would highly recommend.

June 11, 2014 Suffice to say, if we had more people like Jason in the service area, we'd all be very fortunate. He was excellent at keeping the communication going with phone/emails, showed up promptly at time we had planned, worked efficiently; great professional and friendly demeanor. Very good work! Jason was prompt, polite and professional. The work was done on time and on budget! We've had a lot of rain and no problems with the pump. The only thing we were not pleased with was clean-up. The basement floor around the pump was rinsed however, there was quite a bit of dirt, silt, etc left behand after the work was complete.

Estimate and service were done in a prompt and professional manner. Service was performed in the AM and received a had a huge rainstorm later that day. So far so good, no water in the basement.

In general, Sierra Concepts did a great job and I recommend them highly. Andy came over when he said he would. He explained exactly why we were getting water in our basement and gave us several alternative solutions. There was no hard sell for the drain tile/sump pump nor for the full-basement experience. We eventually decided to install drain tile and a sump pump along one wall. Our only complaint was that they were supposed to begin work Monday at 8:00 am. At 8:15 we called Andy, who said they would be there between 8 and 9. So that was a little disappointing (they came at 9), but they did a good job. Well, I would have liked an explanation of what to expect of the pump and how to maintain it, but I'm sure that if I called they'd be helpful. Their work carries a 10-year warranty that's transferable to new owners.

Sierra Concepts scheduled us right away and Andy Voeltner (the General Manager) actually arrived 10 minutes early for his appointment with us. Not a day late. Not 30 minutes late. But on time; even early! Andy spent about 10 minutes looking in the basement and outside; then wanted to talk. No hard sell. No big solutions. No "gotta dig up the entire foundation." No sump pump. He simply explained to me that he thought the dirt was too high around the location of the leak and with the right (or should I say, wrong) soil consistency, the water might not filtrate down and could end up entering the house between the concrete and layer of bricks that rest on the concrete (Duh uh!). I should have known. Anyway, I practically insisted that I pay him for the trip out. He said "no way!" So my cost for the consultation was $0 and I now have a simple solution (of pealing away 3 inches of dirt from around the area of the leak). I marked N/A for quality, because we won't know for a while about whether Andy's solution was right or not. But he's already said that he will come out again if our problem isn't solved by this solution. This is a first class company in my mind. The kind that I will always recommend to other people.

Several basement waterproofing companies were contacted; all but one said that the only solution was to install a sump pump. Only Sierra Concepts suggested tearing off drywall to see where the water was coming through the cement wall. Drywall was removed and revealed that the cement had been poured in two sections. The water was entering a space between the two wall sections. Sierra pumped sealant into the space. The wall was tested by running water against the outside of the wall and there was no leaking. The job is guaranteed for 10 years and cost less than other estimates.
