GUNDERSON ROOFING

I signed contract on 5/22/2021 to tear off roof and reshingle. I paid $3,000 down cash and was supposed to pay remainder when completed. He had a big job before me so I was next which would be a couple weeks. I called a few weeks later or so and he said a couple more weeks. Kept calling and every time it was a couple weeks or next week was the excuse. About a month ago he dropped off junky trailer in my yard with shingles in it and said he would be starting next week. I can’t get a response any more and it’s been 4 months. He is a crook and will be taking legal action. Do not go with this company Gunderson Construction Roofing Specialist they will steal your money and never do the work. I would give 0 stars if I could

My family lost everything in the Chetek tornado. We purchased a home in a new town and we new it needed a new roof. I got a few estimates and went with Gunderson. What a mistake that was! We had the tornado fund pay for it so they got all the money upfront! They said that it would be about three days. Not! It's still not done and it's almost been a year! All you get is a answer machine when you call. Guess we'll need to get Lawers involved!!! Go with anyone else!!!

They first gave an incorrect estimate, 15 squares of material when 8 was the correct number. Promised to come multiple times to do work and continued to have excuses as to why he did not show up. After two months of trying to get ahold of him, without success, I gave up. All I could get was an answering machine and my messages were not responded to. Fortunately I did not make an advance payment.

He asked for the money but never performed the serv ice. When I asked for my money back he never responded

He wasn't a very personable man very business oriented but his work is quality. he may be higher priced than other providers but his work is worth it. he doesn't waste time or materials and anything he didn't use as far as materials is concerned he left for us to keep.

Took 7 months to do a 1 week job, frequent questions and concerns went unanswered. Nice guy but never knew if and when he'd turn up. Always had an excuse but would take days or weeks to just answer a question.

Told me my roof was crap and that it needed to be done, but failed to provide me with sample shingle to claim warranty from CertainTeed. Doesn't come when he says he will be there. Had constant equipment problems. I had to loan him tools to repair his equipment. Lousy joints on new drip edge. Removed old roof but left old tar paper in some areas. Never left a single new shingle if I need repairs. Not all the nails went in all the way and left some bulges where this is the case. Called and left several messages, but once he has your money, you will never hear from him again. I will never recommend Gunderson Roofing to anyone.
