They did a very efficient job. They installers were very punctual, courteous, and clean. They did a fantastic job.

after recieving a call from a feldco rep 4 minutes after e-mailing them everything went like a hot knife through butter. the nice woman asked questions about how many windows we wanted to replace, how old the house was and what would be a good day and time to SEND A REP OUT to give us an estimate. we settled on a day and time 1030 am at 1025 bill our sales rep knocked on our front door. he gave us the presentation measured our windows and made suggestions on our options. he was a true proffesional no pressure and was very thourgh. my wife and idiscussed the pricing and window options and decided to roll the dice with FELDCO. we are so glad we did . our windows were installed today july 26th chuck and chris were amazing they even brought thier own vacumn to clean up with. and clean up they did the installation went smooth installtion great and attetion to detail great. i wouldhighly recomend this company and i hope you have as muchhappiness with thier service as we did. we are going to have them back to finish our front porch. call FELDCO today ask for bill he was great. They were very good. The salesman was very good and very professional. The installers did a reasonably good job. When there was a problem they fixed it right away. They did an all-around good job. The quality of their windows is very good. I haven't had any problems with them. It?s been so far so good. I got a pretty good deal with the price too.

I asked them for several professional references and he told me that there was a government privacy act and I would need to check with a 3rd party (like Angie's List). He then said that he would check with a manager. Upon speaking with his manager he told me that they would respectively decline doing the work for us due to our request for references. This is not our first home improvement project and we have always asked for references, as well as volunteered to be a reference for companies that have worked for us. The representative who came out presented himself very professionally but I am blown away that they will not provide professional reference.

Salesman was very energetic and rushed, as they were in the last three days of the buy one get one sale. He answered my questions, but I don't know that he anticipated my questions as well as he could have had he not been so rushed. I felt a little anxious having to make a decision to get in on the buy one get one sales deadline. (But ultimately, I'm glad I did, as the product is very good and the team who installed it was professional.) The windows were ready to install over a week before they had told me to expect the call, which was a pleasant surprise. They were able to install on a Saturday. The guys showed up on Saturday morning and got to work right away. My two big picture windows were very difficult to remove (the windows broke), in particular the biggest one, yet the guys got it out without damaging my house and cleaned up the glass meticulously. They got all the windows in that day, but had brought the wrong color aluminum trim, so had to return the following Monday to complete the trim work. Returned Monday and completed trim work, cleaned up after themselves and did a great job. My only complaint was that the tape from the plastic that they're required to put up now due to the lead paint abatement laws stripped some of the paint off of my repainted siding. They offered to have a guy do the touch up paint, provide me with a credit for Feldco product, or a lesser credit for the balance of my current work. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of the windows that I purchased and the team that did the installation. There were a couple of minor flaws with them bringing the wrong color trim and with the paint stripping, but neither was a deal breaker with me having them do work for me again. My house is already much cooler and quieter this summer with these new windows in.

They refused to come out because they wouldn’t come out unless all parties were present for the estimate and quote. We live in Milwaukee and we refused to go to Madison for a quote. My son in Madison is 25-years-old and I trust his judgment; if he thought they were good, we would have gone with them. I thought this was nothing but a sales job; I felt that their literature and estimates should have been enough to convince us and I did not need to be brow beaten into using their services. I don’t feel I needed to be present when our son acting as our agent would have made the decision. They were also really rude.

Their estimate was so much less than the other estimate I had gotten, and for a product that appeared to be at least equal in quality, that I signed the contract immediately. I was also influenced by their being a local company and in business many years, not a new outfit from out of town. They were able to get to the project within a couple of weeks and completed it in one day. Everything went as it was supposed to and I am very happy with the product. It makes a big difference in the temperature of my house on hot days; I open the windows when it cools off at night and close them in the morning and have had to use the air conditioner very little this summer. I am glad that I chose this company.

I signed up for a quote at the Milwaukee Home and Garden show at end of March. The quotation visit was scheduled for days later and the windows were custom made within 3 weeks. Everything turned out great!

The actual installation went very well. The windows look nice. The two installers were very competent, did an excellent job, and cleaned up fairly well afterward. I am disappointed with the windows themselves. I was assured they would provide greater protection from the cold than the ones that were replaced. That is not the case. I can feel cold air when I sit on my couch next to the window. I feel I wasted my money.

They are a Chicago-based company. They did a good job and I would recommend them. They were very professional from start to finish. The salesman came and presented the product well. It was a good price for a good product, and we were very satisfied with the work. Our experience with them was great.

Heard about Felco from others. Came to my home and was very professional and customer freindly. The two men who installed the windows and door were professional-did not waste time, cleaned up all messes. I am very satisfied and will use them again. ( I was a little concerned after reading about them on your list, but I had an excellent experience with them).

I couldn't be happier with my purchase from Feldco. My house was built in 1880 so the old windows were incredibly inefficient. The Feldco price was much less than other vinyl replacement estimates I got with similar features. It took Feldco 5 weeks from the time of my deposit until the windows were installed. The installation crew was at my house for two days and replaced 28 windows. They were friendly, professional and neat. My only complaint is that the vinyl does not match all of the woodwork in my house. Since I couldn't afford wooden replacement windows, I can't complain too much. The drafts are gone and everything works perfectly.

Angie, it is now 2011 and I'm still having trouble with the doors. Once again one of the doors doesn't really lock, but can be pushed open when the deadbolt lock isn't engaged but the doorknob lock is. I've had to call someone else to fix this problem in the other 2 doors and will have to place another call for this one. At least this is the last door of the 3 that Feldco put in. And I'll have to eat my Wheaties again when the weather turns warm and I need to replace the glass in the back storm door with a screen. Feldco rehung the storm door incorrectly so that the slidding mechanism (I don't know what they're called) is too low and gets in the way making it very difficult to make the change. I'm just checking back in to say that Feldco never "made it right" and to confirm my recommendation that members avoid this company. Angie, I don't know where to begin and barely know how to express how miserable an experience this was. We've had them back three times and there is still a list of problems with the work that I have given up on Feldco fixing. Problems with the job include a front door that was put in off-center, too-narrow molding that exposed an approximately one inch gap to the side of the molding outside and inside, three level (yes, three) stoops that my 84-year old mother was supposed to walk over, trim not nailed tight, loose door assemblies, spongy stoop supports, no sidelight, a gap between the back door and the linoleum in the kitchen, which instead of telling us about the workmen just put a rug back in place over, the list goes on and on. They did come back and make repairs, but they presented us with other problems, the worst of which is covering the gaps around the English walnut-colored doors with blond wood and then telling us that we would have to stain the blond wood ourselves because after all they are a door company and don't paint. They also refuse to admit or repair the damage they did to the house during installation - gouged wooden stoop, a cement ledge they chipped out in order to get the old door out and the siding they chipped. And then there is their office manager who became very rude on a number of occasions. Angie, I waited a while to submit this report because I kept hoping against hope that Feldco would make good. A representative of the company said that he would come back to stain the blond wood out of the kindness of his heart - that was a month ago and we haven't heard a word. A representative from the company headquarters in Illinois called to "follow up after the completion of the job" and when she was told that we didn't consider the job completed and that we were very unhappy she asked that we hold off doing anything until she investigated. That was over a week ago. And meanwhile the company is running ads galore trying to get business. I couldn't wait any longer to start getting the word out. The word is: Angie, do yourself and your house a big favor. Avoid this company at all costs. In fact, if the Larry, Curley and Moe Company shows up to replace your doors, hire them first before this company.

Courteous service people, prompt--each service delivered on time (estimate, measuring, delivery, installation). Installers cleaned up. Overall, great satisfaction.
