Feldco Windows Siding & Doors

Their windows are excellent. So far I've had no problems. The door is tremendous. They stand behind their work and they have come out to adjust the door to make sure it was perfect. They are precise, timely, clean, and nice.

Over all I would consider this a pleasant experience

we recieved a phone call from Feldco that our windows were in. we were having some other work done on our front porch and asked for a couple of weeks before innstallation. no problem call us when your ready, how nice is that a company working with and for the customer. when we were ready we made 1 phone call and the installation was scheduled. once again just like the last time right on timeand right to work. after removing some of the old windows of course here comes the rain, they were ready pulled a big blue tarp out of the truck and covered the openings that did not stop them from working great job just like the last time. we couldnt be happier if we had anymore windows to replace we would absolutly use Feldco again THANKS FELDCO!!!!

The installs were friendly,professional and quick! I couldn't ask for betters installers or better looking windows!

We had a slight issue with the fact that they couldn't get my existent storm door to fit when they replaced the original entry door. The door fit but the original storm door you know they had to take it off in order to put the entry door in it no longer fit because the opening was smaller than it had been. The price was fair.

We did not end up using/going with Feldco. We thought that they had a decent product, the sales guy was knowledgeable about windows, and the sales guy was nice enough. We ended up liking another similar product better and just didn't care for their "sales pitch". A little about our experience with Feldco. First, we called for an appt. to get an estimate, the sale person was on time, he did his sales pitch, and gave us an estimate. Since they were one of the first estimates we got, we didn't know how that would compare to other companies, and we weren't ready to buy at that point. Even though we told them up front we we just in the looking stage, really didn't know what we wanted at that point, they still tried to give us the ol', "Well, if you buy today, we would be willing to take $XXX.xx off the sales price of the windows you want...and that is our "rock bottom" price. We can't go any lower than that". We said no thank you and sent the sales guy on his way. Not long after their first visit, we got another call from their "sales manager". He came up with another "deal", if we bought by a certain date, they would take another $XXX.xx off their "rock bottom price". Since we were still in the looking stage, we told them, while it seemed like a good deal, we weren't ready to buy yet...so no thank you. Not long after the 2nd call, we got another 2 or 3 calls from Feldco representatives asking if we had made any decisions yet. Each time we told them no...we were still looking. In one of the last calls we received from Feldco the rep said, if we could make a decision soon, they could take off more money off the order (I guess it would be their rock bottom, bottom, bottom price), as they could combine our order with a larger order, which would save them and us even more money. But in order to give us the "best deal" we had to make a decision in the next few days (they gave us about 3 days to make a final decision). We told them we could call them back in a couple of days with our decision. We called them back told them we were still looking...and please do not call us back until we had more time; we still received a couple more sales calls. Even after we went with another company, and even months after the other company installed our new windows, we are still getting sales calls from them. In Feldco's defense, this must be a fairly common practice in window sales...where a salesman will give you their "rock bottom" price...but yet they will call you back within days with a "special deal" that will "save you even more money"; as every one of the window companies we got estimates from did the exact same thing. Long story short, the whole process is kind of frustrating, because you never really know if you are getting a great price, or if you are paying more than you should. I think it would be much better if all these window companies were just plain up front with their prices. You know, tell the purchaser that the materials cost $X amount, the labor is going to be $X amount, they have to make $X profit, and this is the price they must charge. Instead, as I mentioned above, they give you their "best" price right away, then continue to call and offer different deals every time they call. Buying windows is almost as bad as buying a used car...but at least with a used car you know what the Blue Book value is before trying to make a deal. With windows, especially if you've never gone through this process before, it's hard to figure out whether you are getting a good deal or if you are being taken to the cleaners. Overall, our experience with Feldco was good. Not great, but good. The folks on the phone were nice enough, the salesman seemed like a nice guy, they had good quality products, and they really seemed to stand behind their products. I realize times are hard for these companies, with the economy the way it is, and they are just trying to make a buck, but I think they need to scale back on the sales calls.

We decided to replace a large front picture window - approximately 56" H X 80" W. Gary from Feldco was friendly but professional and provided the most reasonable estimate; with no 'after or hidden costs'. He made several different suggestions to replace the previous single picture window. He met us at the Feldco showroom a day or two later so we could actually see the product before placing order. The gentlemen that installed the window were also very professional. Their work was exemplary - very neat & clean; there was no trace of the removal of old window or any mess left behind from the work they performed. The window replaced and trim provided blended perfectly with the trim of the house. This new window has really enhanced the appearance of both the outside and inside of the house. I would (and already have) recommended Feldco to several friends, neighbors, & relatives. Awesome job Feldco!

Overall we are extremely happy with Feldco. The installation was extremely professional.

I called the Feldco Milwaukee office to set up an appointment for an estimate, but apparently because my home is located close to the Illinois boarder, the estimate and work was assigned to the Chicago office. The estimator was on time and knew his product. Feldco has two grades of vinyl siding, the top grade has attached foam backing and a thicker vinyl while the other does not have the attached backing, but rather a slide in type and is not as thick. The estimator made his presentation, concentrating on the top grade, and, while not saying so, showed me the advantages of this product. He then gave me a price for both grades. After I rejected his prices and told him I was not interested in the top grade product, we talked about the less expensive product. He told me he could not lower the price anymore but if he called his boss, maybe he could do something. To make the story short, I believe the call was a ruse, we settled on a price. The company had to send, as part of their service, another estimator to verify the measurements and then set up an installation time. Feldco worked with me to allow time for me to remove the old siding and arrived when they said they would. All work was completed satisfactorily and in a very short time. The installation crew kept.and left the work site clean. The only problem we had with the crew was that they did not respect the flowers that we had planted along two sides of the home. They trampled all of the plants in two 18' by 3' planting areas next to the house, except a large (6' high by 3' wide) rose bush. All in all, I am happy with the product and service provided.

The person that came to meet with us this second time stated that the pervious representative was a lower level staff and had made a mistake and left some costs out. He took the old quote away, gave us a new quote for the previous estimate and the additional items we were interested in purchasing. The cost seemed kind of high considering the reviewes on this page and I just didn't feel comfortable with the fact that the quote could increase that much and it could just be explained by it was a mistake. Didn't feel comfortable with the honesty level, we are looking to replace all our windows and doors, so we'll keep looking for a company.

One of the sales people for Feldco took my 91 year old father to the bank. They quoted him $3,000 to reinsulate his attic, which is a much higher quote than we have received. The man said my father had to clear out the entire attic before they began the work. He is 91! Now we are trying to get his money back. On the website, it says there is no money down necessary. However, they asked for $1,500 down. The only way he can get his money back now is if he signs a cancelation. They should have never taken a Senior citizen to the bank!

We had Feldco come out to give us an estimate for a bay window in a home we just purchased. The sales guy showed up on time, but he spent over an hour and half at our home (after we had JUST moved in, so we had plenty of other things we could have been doing) and at least an hour of it was talking about cars and PRESSURING the sale like I've never seen before. Once we (finally) got the price estimate, I picked my jaw off the floor and told him that it was just not going to happen. He spent another 25 minutes trying to convince us it's worth it, then suckered by boyfriend (a mechanic) out to look at something on his car for him. This guy was so unprofessional it made me sick. Needless to say, today, I met with with a very professional guy from Window World who came in, did his job taking better and more accurate measurements. He even showed me specific things and quoted us $2000 cheaper than Feldco did for one small Bay Window. If you're in need of a little financing help, Window World offers better options there. Now I'll know who to call when we're ready to have the rest of the windows replaced.

Punctual and thorough. He was willing to break things down more than other companies we met with, and gave some good tips too, like make sure to recycle the old siding. Unfortunately it was out of our price range right now but I would still recommend them to others.

I was extremely impressed from the moment I submitted a request for a quote on the Feldco website. Within 5 minutes of pressing the submit button, one of their representatives called me to set up the appointment. Our sales rep was really wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable, explained everything in detail, and answered all of our questions and concerns. Our installers were awesome. They were polite and friendly and made sure the windows were installed correctly. We could not believe how quickly all of the windows were installed and it was on the hottest day of the summer. Our new windows have already made a dramatic improvement to our home. I highly recommend Feldco and will use them again.

Gary came to our house for an initial consultation, very knowledgeable about product. Visit took about 2.5 hours, Gary presented quote after the meeting. We waited a few days mulling over the decision but finally decided to go with Feldco based on the quality of the product, price and previous Angies List recommendations. Stopped in the storefront on S. 108th and wrote up the order with Gary that weekend. Nate visited our house the following week to firm up the measurements. Since the windows were custom size and color we waited around 5 weeks through Dec and January for the windows to be manufactured. Called Feldco for a status on the order and we were told they would be ready the next week and that we could schedule the install then. The day of install Gary and Nate stopped out to check on our expectations and see how the job was progressing. Due to the amount of windows and doors being installed two teams of installers were in the house, 4 people total for two days. Windows went in without a hitch, installers were clean, took off shoes, created weather barriers while installing windows and cleaned up after each day’s work. Great product and knowledgeable installers, Frank's workmanship was amazing.

All of the windows seem to be very good quality and are a great improvement over the previous windows, which had lost their seals and were leaking air. The window openings in the upstairs room were a nonstandard size, and the workers adjusted the frames so that they fit very well. They recommended that we use a different grid than came standard with the windows, and they came back to replace those for us. The basement sliding door needed a new threshold, and they constructed that for us, as well. They cleaned up nicely when they finished the work. We have been very pleased with the work and the windows.

There were couple of issues like they had ordered the wrong size of one window but they took care of it within a week or two and gave us a little discount on something else. I was very pleased with their services.

They were very professional, but I was able to find better windows for a cheaper price, and so I did not go with them. It was kind of an unremarkable encounter. He had plenty of written material and stuff but it was just more expensive than I wanted to spend.

Feldco gave me a very high bid and they committed a fatal error with me, they quoted me a high price and then said they would give me a discount if I signed today and I do not do business that way.

The windows were really done professionally. The siding could have been done a little better.

I bought the windows on a buy one, get one half off special. The job was great and I have recommended them to a few people already. They do exactly what they say they are going to do and they do it well. They have a good quality product; we checked out several manufacturers before we decided on Feldco. We only found one manufacturer with better windows, but their price was way out of line. They quickly settled any questions that we had, they were here when they said they would be, and they were very professional.

the removal and installation went smoothly. all work was done from outside the house and they kept working until the job was completed ( about 5 hours ). there was no debris left behind.

This project went very smooth. The installers arrived on time and with the proper amount of workers to get the job done in one day. The workers cleaned up after themselves, and left my home looking better at the end than in the beginning. They vacuumed up the dust, they picked up the scrap, and they made sure all garbage was hauled away and the job site (my home) was left neat and clean.
