Affordable Heating & Air Conditioning Inc

This tech from Affordable heating and air conditioning Inc. had no intention of repairing my AC unit, or properly and accurately check out my AC system. It was a 45-minute sales pitch for a $10,000 total replacement system. I had to pay nearly a $100 for a service call to put a temperature gauge to my suction line with tech telling me my AC system is basically shot. Anyway, I got a reputable service out for easy repair $300, and all is working great now.

Todd from Affordable was our initial contact: he explained the situation very clearly, and in fact offered one suggestion regarding our first-floor air returns that *immediately* improved our a/c. When the work was performed, Affordable's two-man crew showed up right on time just before 8, set to work, and was done installing a new unit, installing booster fans, and checking the zone damper system by about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. When we discovered about two hours later that things were not quite working correctly, we called Affordable...and within an hour, both the same crew and Todd came back to find what the problem was and make sure everything was working to our satisfaction. They discovered a fault in the control box set-up that was causing the first-floor zone dampers to remain wide open. Once they solved that problem and adjusted it, the new system worked wonderfully, and the house is properly cooled for the first time in years. (It turns out the installer of the zone system had incorrectly set up that control unit, since we'd been having such problems to varying degrees ever since that system was installed in late 2017.)

Awesome company! I had them fix my old furnace several years ago. I was very impressed with their honesty. They fixed some minor problems and it didn't cost that much. When I finally needed to get a new furnace, I had them install it. Never a problem. I just had them install a new air conditioner the other day. Matt went above and beyond what I expected. Very professional, clean, and patient with all my questions. He explained everything thoroughly. Great warranty on the product (Bryant) and also the labor. Very reasonable prices too. These guys really know what they're doing and they know how to treat people. If I ever move and need a new furnace or AC, I will never call anyone else. Thanks Mike, Matt, and Todd. You guys are great!

The service tech damaged a part during install due to improper diagnosis. He stated he would return the next day with a new part. He also stated he would eat the cost as it was his error. Next morning typical bait and switch. Would not replace unless additional parts were ordered. Though would give me a credit on an over priced over sized furnace Mike the manager was useless and abrasive. He talked negatively about every competitive quote I referenced. I tried to find resolution and they won’t come to the table. My mission is to make sure no one else falls prey to devious tactics, prepayment for services not provided and not standing behind their technicians word. I can only imagine it sucks to work in the environment. Find someone you can trust!

Great! They are the best! Great service, and better prices than the competition! Another plus - their proposal included everything - there were no surprise charges or fine print.

I have referred him before. They are the people that do my furnace all the time. They came out and worked on it and it turned out I didn't need a new part. It had to do with the fan, it was making noise.

The cost was between $3000- $5000. For the price, I don't know what exactly it was. I can't swear by the amount. The model of the furnace, I think it was a Bryant furnace had a faulty something and they had to change over. I had to pay a bit for the new one. The gave me credit for the other and replaced a new one. I had no problems with it. They were professional. They knew what they were doing. They particularly answered questions; I like to know what is going on and what they are doing and why and stuff like that. They were handy with that.

They came, they were very nice, they moved my air conditioner into the garage and actually came back to reconnect it the same day after I told them I had an older dog that was very heat intolerant. I really appreciate them coming back the same day to reconnect the air conditioner that was very good customer service.

It went very well. All done before expected. I don't give out "A"s to easily . I would call them back if I had another job like this or for my next maintenance issue.

when working in my basement I noticed corrosion on the top of old water heater which was 12 years old. It had been installed by Affordable Heating and AC by the previous owner. After calling around I found their price to be very competitive. Everyone I spoke to at their company by phone was patient, polite and answered all my questions. The workers were exactly on time, very friendly and professional and installed the water heater in about 1 1/2 hours. When finished i noticed one of my toilets had drained and i could not get it to flush. The worker took a look and seemed to have solved the problem. When i returned home that evening I noticed water was leaking from the back of the toilet. I called AH & AC, because the problem was not there prior to the install. They sent someone out right away, who took a look and fixed the leak, which was basically the cause of an old toilet and old plumbing. He was very nice and I appreciate that they took the extra effort without complaint. they also installed and maintain my furnace, and I have been very pleased with them in that respect as well.

Tony was very professional and courteous.He explained everything he did in layman terms, so it was easy to understand what he did and why. It pays to have equipment serviced by the people who installed it, and specialize in that brand.

The Affordable Heating people were very up front about everything. The other estimates all had us at 75,000 BTUs or higher for a ranch home less than 1800 sq. ft. and also a bigger air conditioner. Affordable assured us that all we needed was 60,000 BTUs and to keep the air at the same tunnage. I asked several times if he was sure we didn't need more and he kept assuring me that he was sure. Well, he was right. I do need to call as I am unable to set up my wireless app on my phone. We are very happy with. Affordable Heating. They weren't the cheapest (second cheapest), but we were more impressed with them than the others we had come out.

Excellent. Todd and crew applied rebates and credits, pulled permits basically took care of everything. Nobody came even close to the price for the 2 2 stage furnaces. Install crew did a great job. Quoted price included everything, even tax. Reasonable honest business.

Furnace is loud and follow up service horrible.

Very professional, explained everything they were doing. I was amazed at the amount of the outer panels they remove in so little time to inspect everything. Showed me things I could understand, put it back together and said we wouldn't need another check until 2014. The furnace has been fine; I was worried that something was going to rattle with as many panels as they had off. No noises no problems, no complaints. I will be seeing them again this fall.

We have a duplex home, and when he came out he looked at the other furnace, and found out that the people who had installed it, had set something out of the factory specifications, and so he reset both furnaces properly. He didn't charge me for the checking the other furnace. He could have charged extra for it, but he didn't. We eventually needed an air conditioner, and we looked at Affordable, but we went with a competitor because of the price.

Out furnace went during this extreme cold snap and Affordable was there to help. Mike came out and diagnosed the problem, recommended a replacement, and had one installed by noon the next day. The installation crew was fantastic. On time, professional, knowledgable, respectful, courteous, and clean. This was an unexpected event and affordable made it feel like a blessing. Definitely recommend!

Repair man arrived to assess our air conditioning unit and provided is with quotes for repairing current unit and for obtaining new unit. My husband and I opted to replace the unit after weighing the pros and cons. Service man arrived to replace the air conditioner as scheduled, explained what he had done, showed me how to work the unit with our thermostat, and left no mess. Very pleased with the services provided, the quality of their work, and the professionalism of staff.

I stopped at the office to set up a time for them to inspect my furnace. I just bought the house and had no record of that having been done since 2006!. Tony, check it over thoroughly. The filter was installed backwards so he turned it around and instructed me on the proper way to do it. He did not try to sell me a filter because the current one should be good until next spring. He noticed that the igniter was the original from 1994 and suggested that be replaced. I agreed since an emergency call would have easily been twice the cost. He made note to have them return in the spring to check the AC since there was no time that day. I will definitely call them again, especially since they are so close.

Todd and his team are hands down the best out there. The entire installation was flawless. They were able to install 2 furnaces and 2 a/c units in ONE DAY!! FREAKING AMAZING. the installation was not an easy one and a long day was had by all, but they got the job done. Communication and follow-up were excellent. Emails and phones calls were always returned promptly and with a good response. THESE GUYS ARE THE BEST!!

They arrived promptly, they cleaned up pretty good and was able to be completed within one day. Overall it went pretty good. I was happy with the install. There were two workers, I guess they work together pretty good. One did more than the other. Otherwise, they kept you informed as far as anything that they needed to change or anything.
