If I could give a negative star I’d give five negative stars for poor business conduct. In 2021 Mid Town did approximately 60,000 dollars of roof work on our Condos. In 2022, I became the Treasurer of my HOA. I realized that the Management Company refuses to disclose all financial records to the board. After many back and forth, she sent me an assessment for one building when we had roofing done on two complex. While dealing with the Management Company I decided to reach out to Corey the owner. I explained to him my situation, and why I am requesting records, preparing for an audit. He said he would need to talk to the Management Company first. I gave him permission to verify my position on the board with the Management Company as well. The next day when Corey and I touch base again, he told me he will give me nothing. He will only disclose records to the Management Company. I asked Corey if he could give me his email so I can have my lawyer correspond with him. His exact words are, “I will give you nothing!” It is pretty disheartening to think that our HOA funds went to give this man business and he has no qualms about treating me, the actual customer that funded him so disrespectfully and refusing to cooperate after he has our payment.

It went well until I started having a problem with bugs in one of the two tunnels. The tunnels are both 14", they are both on the north side of a 4/12 pitch roof and they are approximately 10' apart from each other. As of today one of the two has 11 bugs in it visible through the translucent lens. The other has never had a bug in it. The bugs accumulated slowly over time not all at once although they seemed to show up faster as the temperature shifted toward winter. I have made several calls to Velux and Mid Towne Construction. Velux says i shouldn't be getting bugs, Ted from Mid Towne says "its normal". If I had one tunnel i might be convinced, but I have two and they are right next to each other so I should have bugs in both or bugs in neither, not one of the two. Most recently I sent a picture of the lens with the bugs visible to Ted per his request after a phone conversation. A week went by with no contact so I called Mid Towne again and spoke to Ted again. He did apologize for not getting back to me yet. He gave me a different Velux phone number to call and told me to open a support ticket. I called and spoke to Mary Anne, when I explained everything to her she seemed surprised by the request since it hadn't been inspected by the installing contractor. To open a support ticket she would need to email me some forms to fill out and need my credit card info. I called Mid Towne again. I explained to Ted that i was becoming frustrated by the run around and the request for my credit card info. I will update this review if Mid Towne ever comes out here to determine the cause of the problem and corrects it. Personally I don't care if its a faulty product or if the installation is to blame, I only care that the person I hired is willing to make it right. If it was installed improperly, fix it. If its faulty, replace it. Its very simple --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE - 01/09/16 Corey from Mid Towne sent the installer back to our home to inspect and remedy the issue. Its the middle of winter so I will probably have to wait until spring to see if they are sealing out the insects. I have changed my review score because they showed up and made an effort. I will update again if the issue resurfaces when the bugs come out.

Great job. Fast, thoughtful. Good clean-up

I had to call twice for an estimate and did get it after 3 weeks. We have a 900 Sq ft home plus single garage, one story with an average grade to the roof and the estimate for the cleaning was $1160. Zinc strips (for a hip roof) would have been $360 more. I felt this was very expensive for one days work with minimal materials used. I have to give them credit though for being very nice on the phone and sending both an email and paper estimate. The estimate was very detailed, included a picture of my house and a copy of their insurance certificate. There was zero sales pressure and I did not have to be home for the estimate. This part of the process was really nice - I just wish the price had been a little more affordable!

It took some time to get on their work schedule but once they began the work they stayed at it until it was done. I chose this company since they are a certified installer of Velux products, but they sent out a young man who was obviously new to this product and work. He was a very nice young man, but he really struggled to install the solar tubes since he was inexperienced. I had to correct some of the work he did later. For example I had to add more sealing tape to the tubes in the attic to completely seal the joints and had to put the fiber glass insulation back where it belonged.
