 + -1 moreI called them on a Friday and asked when they could clean my chimney and we made an appointment for the following Thursday afternoon. A man named Randy drove in about 1pm on Thursday afternoon as scheduled and went up on the roof and examined the chimney. He said he would be able to clean it and I gave him the go ahead to do so. He first hooked up a large shop vac in the basement next to the chimney clean out to catch any dust that might enter the basement from the cleaning process. He then took his cleaning equipment up to the roof and started cleaning. He finished the job in a little over an hour and he then invited me to take a look down the flue to make sure I approved of the job. I took a look and saw that it was 95% clean. The only creosote remaining were tiny amounts in the corners of the rectangular flue that his cleaning equipment could not get to. I was well satisfied with the job he had done as it had eliminated the possibility of a chimney fire that I would have risked had I not had it cleaned.
Description of Work: My brick chimney was coated with creosote and glazed over. I had tried to brush it out with a conventional chimney cleaning brush, but it wouldn't come loose. I checked with a number of local providers and decided to go with a company called "The Chimney Sweep LLC" out of Conover, Wi.
