When the appointment was scheduled you asked for an Inspection to be done and needed a second opinion due to the charges the previous company had given you were to high. You were told at the time of scheduling that there is a charge of $140.00 for the inspection and that if you went through with us for the work needed, a portion of the Inspection fee would be credited back to you. You said that was fair enough. You also said you would send an email with the previous estimate and that was never received. You were contacted the night before as well as a text sent the morning of your appointment. You then just sent a text saying what you knew was listed. That was not the break down for us to see what work needed to be completed and what they previous company was charging you to know if it "was to high". The tech's that came were there longer than 10 min and took 17 pictures of what they were seeing needed repaired. They also stated everything was fine and you were happy with the service and we had the job up until they asked for payment. You then were upset about the charges and the tech even stated he could make a call and get things figured out. You didn't want him to. At that point it was all about how they needed to get new office management and you would be writing a bad review. The owner himself even tried to contact you to get this situation figured out and he never received a response back when reaching out to you. If you need to get in contact with us or would like to come up with a conclusion regarding this situation please feel free to get in contact with us. Thank You Daizy Sweeps Inc.

We had just bought the house one month earlier. During the home inspection, the inspector said that the chimney was VERY dirty and that we should have it inspected and cleaned prior to using it. The fireplace was gas and eventually we wanted to convert it to wood or pellet-burning. Our appointment was for late morning and they called at about 11 AM to say they would arrive around 12:10. (I had the whole day off work, so this did not bother me.) They did arrive at 12:10. The two-man crew first looked at the fireplace and chimney. I told them that we wanted to convert it to pellet burning eventually and that for now, we would prefer wood-burning over gas-burning. They advised that converting it to wood-burning was very easy and they could do it that day. We agreed to have that work performed in addition to inspection and cleaning. They looked inside the chimney and agreed that it was very dirty. (They said the reason for that was the bottom of the fireplace only contained vermiculite and the gas was burning really fast producing a lot of soot. They said that there should have been sand in the bottom of the fireplace to slow down the flow of gas, slower burning, less soot. They did not have sand with them so if we had wanted to keep it gas, they would have had to go get supplies.) Next we headed to the basement to check out the gas connection to determine if the gas valve could be capped. They identified the appropriate gas pipe and said they could cap it. Then they went up on the roof to inspect the outside of the chimney. After the inspection of the chimney, one man cleaned the chimney using a high powered vacuum while the other man capped the gas valve and removed the gas pipe running to the fireplace. The hole in the floor of the fireplace needed to be filled with refractory cement, which he also did not have on hand (we said we could finish that). The man cleaning the chimney was very courteous. The other man was also courteous but evidently he approached my husband and my husband's friend (who were playing video games in the basement at the time) about making six figures without even leaving the house. The other thing that was slightly odd about this man (who seemed to be in charge) was that he was pretty short with the other man (almost like husband-wife bickering), which I found a bit unprofessional. He did show me the ash trap and advised that we should get a hearth rug and a thicker log rack for the fireplace (since wood fires are hotter than gas fires). The man cleaning the chimney was very clean and did not leave a mess. The estimate for the cleaning and inspection was $157. The final bill ended up being $202, but they also capped the gas valve and removed the gas line ($45). The fireplace was also super dirty (and so was the sweep by the end), so I felt that $202 was fair. He gave me a flier about corn-burning inserts and said he likes them better than wood pellet burning inserts and also gave me a quote for the corn-burning insert. I would probably use this company again, but I would be equally likely to check around and use someone else since I this experience was good but not spectacular.

We keep in contact if we are running late with clients. The supplies that were needed were used at the last job before we arrived and we ran out. They are normally on the truck. If we new that we were going to convert the fireplace over to gas we would of had the right supplies in the truck. Every job is different, we can't have every thing on the truck or I would need a straight truck. We were also offered a opportunity that is working very well for are business. We try to offer this in a way that we are not bothering the customer. If we like to save money on things we are buying why not share the news. It may be for you, it may not, we won't know until we say something. If you share this you have the potential of making allot of money. know who don't like money. Its a service that we offer. If we offend anyone its not on purpose. We strive on excellence. If we offend anyone we are sorry. We are all human.
