Jim was always on time and responded promptly to all questions and concerns. He took as much time as necessary to provide information about what was needed as well as what would be/was done in terms of the work. The job was a complicated one and we had to ask for a change in part of the original scope of work, which was done promptly and without any debate. Two window screens that were damaged were replaced within 48 hours -- again, all concerns were addressed courteously and speedily.

Came out told me it wasn't the flat roof and he wouldn't say he could fix my problem unless he could clearly see signs of issue. Told me his opinion after i gave him more history of house that it was the gutter sponge guard that had exceeded its life expectancy and was probably clogging the drain even though it looked fine and the water was coming in were the two roofs met not because of the flat roof but the gutter. I got up there after he left and pulled out some of the sponge and was exactly like he said it would be. Saved me a 2k repair of flat roof that i didn't need and i appreciate his honesty will definitely use in the future.

He covered all the details and options in a clear and understandable way and made recommendations based on our goals and objectives. It went very well. This is our second time working with Energy Masters; our first time we had our gutters replaced. Since we loved the job on the gutters we called them when we were thinking about siding. Jim came out and spoke to me about vinyl, the look, the age of our house, etc. We had a great discussion and he was very professional and kind. He gave me some referrals to his favorite painters in the area with a suggestion that we consider painting this 100+ year old Victorian in order to keep the beautiful details. Jim's work ethic, honesty and professional approach is hard to find.

I had called on a Saturday to see when Jim would be available for an appointment. Jim called back within a few hours to talk and he told me he was available the next day on Sunday. I was very impressed with such quick service. Jim arrived on time and after the introductions he started by asking what were the issues or problems I was having. He walked the entire perimeter of my house to evaluate any problems. He gave an honest resolve to my issues. Jim told me that my gutters were in good shape and that I did not really need to replace them at this time. He took the time to explain how I could fix my problem areas. The windows are in and look beautiful. The installation was done timely and was surprisingly painless for such a major project and Jim did a personal inspection of the work afterward. Work was done earlier than expected. Clean up was great, a few pieces of material was found, but this was not unexpected with amount of tear off that was done. Final inspection was done in a timely manner and to our satisfaction. Great to work with and will use again for additional work.

I have used Jim and Energy Masters for several home improvement projects over the years. The service is top notch, the pricing is fair and the work is always very good. The biggest advantage of working with them is that Jim is an honest broker, he doesn't try to upsell you or say something needs to be fixed if it doesn't. As well as be clear if a project can wait a while to be addressed. He seems to emphasize doing quality work as much, if not more than quantity. It's rare to find a family owned, small business that does excellent work, at a fair price and has above board business practices. You have that with Energy Masters.

I own a two-family duplex in the city of West Allis, and am looking at selling my property in the next few months. My existing single layer roof was beginning to show signs of wear and tear on the south exposure. After some inspection, I determined selling it as-is, was probably not going to help move it quickly or at the price I want. I contacted Jim at Energy Masters, and he set up an appointment for an initial consultation. Typically, Jim would prefer any consultations be done with both partners, husband and wife, but my wife was not available. After the initial walk thru, and rough dimensions, we sat down and talked about the type of roof, different options available and pricing. We spent some time discussing materials, and making sure I fully understand the differences and how it affects pricing. Once everything was settled, he was able to write up a contract that I was able to review with my wife later on that night. We decided to go with Energy Masters for the roofing after two other bids. One bid was more expensive and another was less expensive, but the knowledge and good communication from Jim sold me in the end. After signing the contract, work was able to start sooner than expected due to an opening in the schedule, as Jim continued to communicate on a daily basis as materials were arriving, and when the crew would be expected to be on-site. Initially, it was quoted as a single day job, which was one of the reasons I also wanted to go with Energy Masters. In the end, it was about a day and a half, due to the extra complexity of my roof. The installation went very well, everything looks great. Clean up was also very good, as I have two small children, so I was particular about making sure as much of the nails were not in the grass. The next day I was not able to find very many at all. Jim does expect a down payment before work starts, with the final payment done after the final inspection, which is also done by Jim and the owner of the property. Overall, I had a very good experience with Energy Masters. I think the best experience I had is the ease of communication with the owner Jim. I would recommend his company for anybody looking for roof work.

I had two separate projects done by Energy Masters, and both times went very smoothly. Jim is friendly and is comfortable talking about all of the technical nuances of the project. He showed up on time for the estimates, and his team showed up to do the work on time and as expected. Cleanup was thorough. The flat roof took about 5 hours to complete from start to finish. I would definitely use Energy Masters again for my next project.
