Recommended a contractor that worked out really well they were able to coordinate the finishing of the structure with the roof replacement and addition roofing. crew made an effort to cleanup everything and owner came out to review the work being done. was able to get done in one day. Only issue was the gutter guy didn't use the extensions quoted and no gutter guard but one call to Jim and 2 days later everything was corrected now following a rainy September and October no leaks or issues. overall Jim had excellent knowledge on requirements and remained flexible to accommodate the home improvement that was necessary to eliminate the roof issue. Also was able to point out existing issues and offer solutions.

Everything went very well. Jim came to our house, reviewed the prior gutter installation, and recommended an improved configuration to deal with water going to the wrong places and not getting into our foundation area. He connected us with a landscape company that provided underground piping to channel the water flow where we wanted it. We did agree to move one of the downspouts to a less hidden location that was farther away from the building, to avoid having water in the gutters running towards the building. Jim installed the new gutters and then came back to check on the job after we'd had a few rainstorms. His crew did a great job on cleanup of the site at the end of each day. Overall, the best experience I've had with a gutter company (and we've tried several others over the years). I don't think you'd go wrong with Energy Masters for your gutter project!

The job went well, though was not without challenges. Jim dealt with each as needed, in a professional and customer-centric manner. The biggest reason I wanted to hire Jim's company (aside from stellar reviews on Angie's List) was because of his ventilation certification. We had horrible ice dams in 2018-19 and didn't want a repeat this year. Jim assessed our house (built 1927) and installed air intake vents and a ridge vent to help alleviate this problem. The new gutters he installed were rerouted from the old design so as to minimize flow and drainage problems we had experienced. If you need roofing work - and especially if you've had ice dam problems - you should have Jim evaluate evaluate your property.

I wasn’t optimistic about finding a contractor in mid November who would be willing to repair my chimney flashing by the time I needed to close the sale on my house, but thankfully I found Jim and Energy Masters and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Between the first phone call, to the on-site consultation and record speed install, I was blown away at the level of expertise and professionalism I received from Energy Masters. I have worked with contractors in the past and know that this time of the year can be a real hassle to get someone in to do work, but thankfully there are companies out there like Energy Masters that value clients both large and small. Jim came out personally to look at our house and create a personalized plan for roofing, venting, and gutters. He took time to explain a variety of options and their benefits vs. costs, especially related to heating and cooling, so I felt like we knew exactly what we were getting before we signed a contract. That was the deciding factor for us in choosing Energy Masters over a cheaper bid. We have a steep roof that needed a complete tear off of four layers of roofing and a full re-deck, but the crew did it all in one day! Within two weeks of contacting Energy Masters, all the work was done. Everyone on the roof and gutter crews were very professional and took time to explain any issues they found on the fly. Our roof is beautiful and it's dramatically improved our curb appeal.

The whole process was excellent. Jim set up an appointment after I called him for a quote. He arrived on time for the appointment, met with me briefly to get the general scope of the project. Jim then spent time to do a walk around the house, to ***** the condition of the roof and what would be needed. After Jim had made his evaluation, we sat down to discuss the project. Jim took his time and explained each step of the process and provided me with samples and specs for all the materials involved in the new roof, laying out the advantages and disadvantages of the different materials and their cost. Jim described how the roofing team would proceed with the tear off and what to expect in terms of debris, clean up etc. It was a thorough and clear explanations of all the elements and processes and cost, which I greatly appreciated. Two hours well spent. When the Energy Masters roofing crew showed up they were punctual, professional, polite and very hard working. It was my wife's and my great pleasure to be able to offer them coffee and cookies, and to buy them lunch and host them in our house as a break from the cold. The work was done the week of Thanksgiving, with temperatures in the 20s and 30s. The project was completed in just over two days. The yard was completely cleaned up of all debris. The roof looked great. The gutters were replaced a little less than a week later by a different crew, also polite and professional. Final walk around with Jim went well. I thought the whole experience was excellent, professional and a good value. I whole heartily recommend Energy Masters as contractor. Jim and his crews did a great job on my roof. And his pricing was competitive.

When a small job in my home revealed a problem with the underlying structure, they were flexible and knowledgeable and were able to efficiently repair the unexpected problem so that the planned job could proceed. At the end of what turned into a very long day they took the time to clean up my home and their outdoor work area and made sure I was satisfied. It went perfectly. Jim was timely in coming out and assessing the situation. He came back quickly with an estimate and we spent a significant amount of time reviewing that estimate and discussing alternatives for addressing some of the more complex issues unique to our home. We elected to use an enhanced ice and water barrier given our specific issues and then assess after a year whether or not additional soffit venting would be beneficial. Jim had a significantly better understanding of both the construction techniques and available materials than other bids received. The cost was a bit more than another bid, but I was confident that the material selection and solution was a superior design. The crew got here within a week and they did the "tear off" and installation in a tad more than a long day. Impressive as we have a sizable roof. The crew was excellent. Professional, courteous - really nice guys. They took as good of care of the plants around the house as we could have ever hoped and left a nice clean job site. We were particularly impressed with the quality of work in flashing our large 3 flue chimney - they paid particular attention to the color of the flashing material and our chimney has never looked so water tight or attractive. Within a week of completing the roof, the gutter folks were on site discussing the new gutters and helping troubleshoot some challenging issues unique to our design. Amazingly the gutter-work was completed in less than a day by one very talented individual. We spent quite a bit of time in the design process evaluating the gutter-guard choices. Selecting a gutter-guard system is not a simple process as they all have their limitations. This is where Jim's experience and thorough discussion of the engineering pros and cons really paid off. We have a mix of conifer and deciduous trees and were able to design a system tailored to our needs. We couldn't be happier with the work performed and we know it was done right.

Sent e-mail from Angie's List on June 20, 2017 asking if Energy Masters did gutter repair. Initial e-mail response within 2 days (June 22.) EM asked if it was a first floor job and I responded that it was and could they give me an estimate. On June 24 EM asked me to suggest dates for us to get together. I gave them 3 dates but heard nothing back. On July 20 I asked if this wasn't the right type of job for them, was it too small and could they please let me know. No response, then or since.

We needed a new roof and soffits after some wind damage. Our gutters were very old too so we wanted to replace those also. We hired Energy Masters to take on the work. Jim always stayed in contact with us, keeping us in the loop at all times. He's very easy to reach and is very communicative. We're very happy with our new quality roof and gutters and will absolutely consider using Jim and Energy Masters again for any exterior work done to our house in the future. I can highly recommend him.

It went great! Jim got back to me on a Sunday, the same day I sent a message in Angie's List. We set up an appointment and he came on time. He asked me some questions and got up on my roof and walked around. He took pictures and then came down to talk to me about the situation with pictures. He explained everything very clearly and was great. A good friend had referred him as they had used Energy Masters twice before. We set up the contract and he told me 4-6 weeks. Within 3-4 weeks I had an email telling me the job was completed. We set up an appointment and he came out and walked me around the house to show me everything and answer all questions I had. I will definitely call Jim again when it is time to redo my roof.
