They did a good job. They were fast, and they cleaned up and were knowledgeable, pleasant, and easy to work with.

I was very pleased with the service that I received. He was right on time, very polite, and went to work right away. He worked neatly and did not delay in getting all three projects done. When he was finished, the only way I could tell he'd been here was the gleaming new drain pipe in the laundry room and a kitchen sink that works again !

THE PLUMBER WAS LATE, BUT DID CALL TO LET ME KNOW. WHEN HE WENT TO INSTALL THE FAUCET HE SAID THAT HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO INSTALL IT BECAUSE THE CONNECTIONS WERE TOO SHORT DUE TO THE THICKNESS OF THE ZODIAC COUNTERTOP. THE COMPANY WAS AWARE WE HAD A ZODIAC COUNTERTOP. I CALLED THE DISTRIBUTOR OF THE COUNTERTOP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT ALL THE FAUCET NEEDED WAS A STANDARD EXTENSION, ONE THAT ALL PLUMBERS NORMALLY CARRY ON THEIR TRUCK. WHEN I RETURNED TO TELL THE PLUMBER WHAT THE COMPANY HAD SAID, HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAD A SOLUTION, BUT HE WOULD HAVE TO GO GET THE PARTS. IT TOOK HIM AN HOUR TO GET THE PARTS AND COME BACK. WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A 1/2 HOUR JOB TURNED INTO 3 HOURS AND WHEN WE RECEIVED THE BILL WE WERE SHOCKED TO SEE WE WERE CHARGED FOR THOSE HOURS. WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THE COMPANY TO DISPUTE THE CHARGES AND THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED ANY OF OUR CALLS. WE HAVE NOW BEEN REFERRED TO A COLLECTION AGENCY.

On time, polite, and although all plumbers seem expensive, they were cheaper than some!

I called for an estimate and was given a quote over the phone. Randy then came out to make sure it was a pretty standard job. He was very quick in coming over and stopped by on his way to his son's basketball game because I had missed him earlier in the day. He confirmed the quote we were given over the phone and said he could have someone out the next morning. I had some plans for the day, so the installer, Keith, came nice and early so I could still make my appointments. He cleaned up and was very polite and efficient. I would definitely use this company again.

I thought their rates were a little high but they let me pay on a payment plan.

The service was great. Keith called the next day to see how I felt about the recommendation of the new water heater. They set up a time for the following day to perform the work. He and his associate were on time, professional and easy to work with. They removed both the water heater and the water softening system and cleaned up well downstairs. I was quoted $850 for the work and was charged $865. Keith called the next day to make sure all was working well with the new water heater. Most importantly, the particles are GONE!! My faucets are running again.

I left a message with the office staff and was pleasantly surprised to have my call returned later the same day. They were able to send someone out the following morning, who arrived exactly at the time he said he would. There is a $42 charge for service calls, plus a $5 gas surcharge, in addition to labor, which seems a little excessive.

Excellent, prompt, inexpensive service.

After discovering that our water heater was leaking on a Sunday night, I called the emergency service number, and received a call back shortly thereafter. Dan patiently spent ten minutes trouble shooting over the phone with me, and determined that although the heater would likely need to be replaced, it didn't require attention that night. Instead, I called early Monday morning to schedule service. They were able to get us in at 8:00 that morning, and by 11:00 AM we had a new water heater. The staff at William Zachow & Sons was helpful, courteous, prompt and professional. I would definitely use their service again.

They returned my call early the next morning. Said the work could be completed between 8:30am and 10:00am. As a result I decided to take off from work. Herb was here by 8:00 am, and completed all work by 9:30am. Very neat, courteous. I am very satisfied.

Friendly, polite, but overpriced. Charged for a service call separate from the hourly work done, also charged a ''machine fee'', and then added on a ''gas surcharge'' to the total.

We won't know how much the final bill is until it arrives in the mail, which is disconcerting. It's been a couple of weeks, but perhaps the holidays have caused a delay. The documentation the workman left cited $172 for labor, but parts will also be added to the total. Someone was available to come the same day I called and the workman arrived when expected. I appreciated that he didn't mind my tagging along as he investigated and worked and was happy to answer questions. He worked quickly and efficiently, taking only an hour and a half to troubleshoot and resolve all 3 of my plumbing issues in one visit. Overall, a VERY good experience!

DON WAS THE PLUMBER AND HE WORKED IN A TIGHT SPACE TO REPLACE THE WATER PIPE. HE WORKED HARD TO GET THIS JOB DONE AND DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB. ON JAN 30TH THEY SENT A PLUMBER NAMED HERB OUT. HE REPAIRED THE HOT TUB FAUCETS AND RE-CAULKED IN APT 2. HE CHARGED A $129.99. HE WAS VERY NICE AND I WAS SATISFIED WITH THEM. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT. THE OTHER ONE WAS IN APT 4. THEY CAME OUT TWICE FOR THAT. THAT WAS JAN 1ST AND FEB 2. IT WAS DELAYED BECAUSE I HAD TO CALL A TILE MAN. ZACHOW REPLACED LEAKING PIPES INSIDE SHOWER WALL TO FIT A NEW MOEN MIXING VALVE. THEY GAVE ME A QUOTE OF $600.00 WHICH WAS LESS THAN THE OTHER COMPANY WAS GOING TO CHARGE. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WERE GOING TO DO. THEY DID A VERY NICE JOB.

THEY LOOKED AT THE LOCATION, GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE, NEGOTIATED A DAY, SHOWED UP EXACTLY ON TIME AND THE BILL WAS SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE. THE WORK WAS NEAT AND PROFESSIONAL.

RANDY ZACHOW CAME TO MY HOME TO ADVISE ME ON THE PURCHASE OF A STAINLESS STEEL SINK AND NEW KITCHEN FAUCET. HE SENT ME TO A PLUMBER'S SHOWROOM AND I WAS ALLOWED TO PICK OUT THE SINK AND FAUCET I WANTED. HE THEN SENT ME AN ESTIMATE OF THE COSTS INVOLVED. I SIGNED THE ESTIMATE. RANDY CALLED AND WE SET UP A TIME FOR THE WORKMEN TO COME. THE TWO MEN ARRIVE ON TIME AND WORKED IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. THE SINK AND FAUCET WERE INSTALLED AND THE GARBAGE DISPOSAL WAS RECONNECTED. THE WORK WAS DONE IN LESS THAN 3 HOURS.

HERB ARRIVED RIGHT ON TIME AND WAS FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. HE SEEMED VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE; I APPRECIATED HIS EXPLAINING THE CAUSES OF THE VARIOUS LEAKS. AFTER HE LEFT, I NOTICED THAT THE BATHROOM SINK WAS STILL DRIPPING. HE CAME BACK 2 DAYS LATER (WHICH WAS THE SOONEST I WAS AVAILABLE) AND REPLACED THE (APPARENTLY DEFECTIVE) CARTRIDGES HE'D INSTALLED. THERE WAS NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR THE SECOND VISIT, OF COURSE. I FELT CONFIDENT THAT EVERYTHING WAS DONE RIGHT AND WILL CERTAINLY CALL ZACHOW AGAIN THE NEXT TIME I NEED A PLUMBER, EVEN THOUGH I COULD PROBABLY FIND SOMEONE CHEAPER.

OUR MAIN SEWER WAS CLOGGED. THIS WAS EVIDENT BECAUSE AFTER NORMAL USAGE OF WASHER, DISHWASHER, TOILETS AND SHOWERS, THE SEWER WOULD BACKUP INTO THE BASEMENT. WE CALLED THE ABOVE CO. & MADE AN APPT. FOR 11/3/05 BETWEEN 10 AM & 12. THAT WAS CHANGED TO 2 AND 4 PM. AT THREE, THE SUBCONTRACTOR, KENWAY, CALLED AND SAID THEY WERE STUCK AND RESCHEDULED TO 11/4/O5, 8 TO 9 AM. UPON ARRIVAL, THE TWO EMPLOYEES STATED THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE DRAIN AND QUESTIONED WHETHER WE NEEDED ROUTED. NOTE: THIS IS A 115 YR. OLD HOUSE W/120'+ PIPE TO THE ST. THE CLOGGED D WAS DEEP. WORDS ENSUED AND WE DISPATCHED THEM W/O PERFORMING THE WORK. THEY QUOTED A PRICE OF $220. IT IS VERY FRUSTRATING WHEN YOU CAN'T USE YOUR SEWER SYSTEM. TRY NOT SHOWERING, WASHING, USING THE TOILET, ETC., FOR 2 DAYS AND THEN HAVE TO BE ASKED IS THERE IS A PROBLEM. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS SUCKED! APPARENTLY, THE TWO EMPLOYEES DID NOT WANT TO DO THE JOB. PLEASE NOTE THIS WAS A SUBCONTRACTOR. WILL NEVER CALL ON THIS CO. AGAIN.

ON TIME. OVERALL FAVORABLE. PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. WE WERE PLEASED. PRICE QUOTED IS WHAT WE PAID.

RANDY CAME OVER AND DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM FOR ME. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GIVE ME A FREE ESTIMATE. KEITH WAS SENT OVER TO DO THE JOB FROM ZACHOW AND SONS PLUMBING. RANDY ALSO SHOWED UP BRIEFLY AND SHOWED KEITH WHAT TO DO BEFORE LEAVING. THEY BROKE A HOLE IN OUR FLOOR AND FOUND THE LINE LEAK. RANDY COMES BACK ABOUT 2 HOURS LATER TO FINISH THE JOB, BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND THE RIGHT PART FOR US. WE HAD AN ESTIMATE FROM THEM, BUT WERE CHARGED WAY TOO MUCH FOR THE JOB BASED ON THE TIME STRUCTURES. I CALLED AND TALKED WITH THE SECRETARY, COLLEEN, SHE SAID THAT SHE WAS UNSURE OF THE CHARGES. WE WERE CHARGED $42 FOR A SERVICE CALL, BUT WERE TOLD THERE WOULD BE A FREE ESTIMATE. I WILL NOT USE THESE PEOPLE AGAIN.

THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME WE USED THIS COMPANY. THEY WERE ABLE TO COME OUT WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF OUR CALL. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK OVERALL. HOWEVER, THE TOILET WAS REINSTALLED SOMEWHAT CROOKED WITH RESPECT TO THE SURROUNDING WALLS. WHEN WE POINTED THIS OUT TO THE PLUMBER (A YOUNG GUY), HE DISAGREED, SAYING HE DIDN'T THINK IT WAS TOO BAD. WE LET IT GO FOR A DAY OR TWO, BUT WOUND UP CALLING THE COMPANY BACK OUT TO REINSTALL THE TOILET. THEY DID COME OUT AFTER A FEW WEEKS AND DID NOT CHARGE US FOR THE EXTRA TRIP. WE WERE PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK ONCE IT WAS COMPLETE. NOTE THAT THEY CHARGE $100/HOUR FOR LABOR. THIS WAS COMPARABLE TO ANOTHER COMPANY WE CALLED.

I WAS REALLY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED BY THE VALUE I RECEIVED FOR THE WORK FROM ZACHOW. AFTER AN INITIAL INSPECTION, BILL GOT RIGHT TO WORK AND COMPLETED THE JOBS EFFICIENTLY. HE UNDERSTOOD THAT WE WANTED TO KEEP THINGS SIMPLE AND DIDN'T TRY TO TALK US INTO SOMETHING WE DIDN'T NEED. WHEN HE LEFT EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND IN WORKING ORDER!

TWO EMPLOYEES FROM ZACHOW ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED AND BEGAN WORK PROMPTLY. THEY ANSWERED ALL OF THE QUESTIONS I HAD AND COMPLETED THE WORK IN ABOUT AN HOUR. THE CUTTER HAD BROUGHT BACK SOME FINE ROOT GROWTH, IN ADDITION TO ANY CUTTINGS THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN PUSHED TOWARDS THE STREET. THEY CHARGE A $42 CALL FEE PLUS $25/15 MINUTES RATE. BECAUSE WE ARE INSTALLING CARPET SOON, THEY SUGGESTED REPEATING AT TWO YEAR INTERVALS TO AVOID PROBLEMS (WE HAD A FLOOR DRAIN BACK-UP FIVE YEARS EARLIER DUE TO ROOT GROWTH). I WAS PLEASED WITH THE WAY THE JOB WAS HANDLED AND THE RESULTS.

FROM START TO FINISH THIS WAS A GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. THE PLUMBER WAS ABLE TO COME OUT QUICKLY TO UNCLOG MY DRAIN, SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME, WAS FRIENDLY AND WORKED QUICKLY AND THE JOB WAS DONE CORRECTLY.

THEY DID A GREAT JOB BUT I DID NOT KNOW HOW MUCH THE BILL IS GOING TO BE UNTIL THEY SENT ME THE BILL IN THE MAIL.
