I called this company and the owner came out that very day to give me an estimate. The plumber doing the work was prompt, courteous and friendly. His work was efficient and described what he was doing throughout the job.

They were very professional and dependable. They came on time, cleaned up their mess and were very friendly.

The company came out the day we called, performed the work diligently and professionally.

I called ahead by 3 days, so it was no problem getting someone on-site when I needed them. The guy did a great job, very nice and he was prompt. Didn't have to pay him on the spot either, the bill will be coming in the mail, so that is very nice!

GREAT! They came the same day that I was in need. I had an old fridge pulled out and the valve to the water line was stripped. We had to shut off the water to the house. They were professional and nice and fast. I would use them again and recommend them highly. He was nice to my dogs! For price I cannot say, they are billing me.

The plumber arrived almost exactly at the time promised and set to work quickly, removing the old components and starting work to install new fixtures, as well as improve the undersink plumbing to accommodate the new pieces. The plumber worked quickly and had the job done in about three hours. I was completely happy with the job performed! If you want the cheapest rate, I probably would not use them, but if you're looking for a great experience from beginning to end, I would definitely recommend them.

Called up the company and asked for an estimate on the jobs mentioned above and a couple of add ons. The estimate was free since I was an Angie's List member. One of the senior plumbers came out and gave us a quick estimate and suggestions on our different options for the project. The individual was professional and knowledge about the work we wanted done. The individual who performed the work was very professional and did a wonderful job. It was completed timely and the bill was exactly as estimated. The plumber cleaned up after himself and really made a great impression on our family.

Our HW heater failed mid-afternoon. When I got home I checked Angie's list and based on positive recommendations there called Zachow about 5:30 PM. They came at 8 the next morning and the heater was installed by 10 AM. The repairman was very pleasant and capable, did a good job of installation, took care to not drip water from the old heater when he removed it, cleaned up well, put a drop cloth down where he had to travel over a basement carpet. He answered questions thoroughly. I'm satisfied with the service. I am not certain about the price. Since electric heaters are less expensive than gas I though it might be somewhat less. And it was less than gas heaters that Angie's List details. So my concern about the price is a gut feeling..Nevertheless the work was fine and I think the produce installed is high quality.

The pipes were shot so they replaced them and rooted out the clogged drain. The worker was very pleasant and very efficient. He was also willing to do a couple smaller extra jobs.

It was great. They were able to fit me in right away. The plumber called before arriving, so I knew to expect him. He did the job quickly, and he laid down protective tarp and paper. He cleaned up after himself and he was very friendly. I will be calling these guys again, that's for sure.

They were very timely. They came over the next day. The repair man did a good job. He took out the old water heater and put in a new one. The new water heater is now working great.

Randy Zachow came ten minutes early for the first meeting to work up the estimate. He did a thorough walk through of the area, and he quickly sized up the job and explained in detail what he proposed to do. His estimate was delivered the next day, typed up, and clearly stating all of the work to be done, the number and type of fixtures that were include, and the total price for labor and materials. After accepting their bid, it only took a couple of days for them to call and schedule the work the next week. The job was done over two days, with the water connected at night on day one so that we could use bath and kitchen water. Randy showed up early on day one to see that his crew knew exactly what to do; the piping was expertly installed, workers were skilled and courteous, and completely cleaned up at the end of both days. Jake did a particularly fine job. We would highly recommend Zachow Plumbing and will definitely use them for any future plumbing work.

I believed they used a sub-contractor, but they came out the same day, were quick and clean, and explained things as they went. The bill arrived approximately one month later.

Randy Zachow showed up and took a quick look (free estimate for Angie's List members), then said he'd send an estimate. I thought he'd quote right there, but then said he'd send the estimate through the mail. Almost a week later, the estimate arrived. It took a little long, but the price was reasonable so I sent it back and set up an appointment. The receptionist was very friendly while we set up a time for the job. On the day the work was to be done, Jake showed up (on time) and was friendly and professional. He let me watch what he was doing and answered all my questions. Was able to work quickly and efficiently, despite my presence. I even asked if the shower head could be raised six inches and he said "no problem" and started soldering new water lines. The total job took 3 hours. He cleaned up after himself and offered to remove all scraps and boxes. A couple weeks later the bill arrived and matched the quote. I was happy with the work and will definitely use Zachow again.

Mel and his helper were here on time the day Randy said they would be. They did not seem to mind our curious cats. When they finished you would not even know that they had broken up a cement tub. This is the second time this company has done work for me.

Zachow scheduled promptly and was on time. Work was performed quickly and efficiently. Any mess was cleaned up.

They sent someone out within 2 hours of my call, the day after a holiday, so I was very impressed with their responsiveness. Good overall experience.

I was unable to be home for the repair. I called to make an appointment and was very pleased that they would be able to repair the same day. My mother was at home. I was called at work to verify exactly how I wanted the work done. I came home to find the toilet solidly fastened and the bathroom was well cleaned up after the work was done.

When he came to do the tile work, he said he could not match the tile at 4 different places. He said they are no longer made this tile. I told him to get something close to it. The bathroom is white and the tiles were white with gold speckles. He came with tile that was twice the length and the same depth. I wasn't happy with the tile. I told him to put one in and see how it looked. When I got back he did the whole thing. The work was done without the spacers and the workmanship looked incompetent. It would decrease the value of the house. He came back and said he wanted more money and that nothing else could be done. He said he was finished and he wouldn't do anymore. He did not fix the problem. The insurance adjuster told me the whole thing should be retailed. They came back with a price of $9000 to replace all of the tile.

They arranged a time when we would be home and cleaned up after the job. I had a minor concern about some scratches on my wooden floor by the back door. They had put two layers of cardboard down to prevent any scratching, but some scratches occurred. Both Mr. Zachow and the installer responded to my concern and came out to look at the floor. They couldn't see any problem.

On a late Friday afternoon, I discovered a slow leak in a water heater. I called Zachow plumbing who gave me a price. They came the next morning and installed a new one even going back to the office for a different one that would fit the area. When the plumbing inspector came, he felt that the chimney should be patched. Zachow was there within 30 minutes of the call to do it. The price they gave me was the price I was charged.

We had used Zachow several times before for smaller jobs (clogged sink, etc.), so we were anticipating we would be pleased with this slightly larger job of installing our new sink. We couldn't have been more disappointed. When their staff person came to remove it, they were there for only half an hour but charged us for a full hour. When they came to install it, he spent 2 hours looking at it before informing us that he was having a problem, then another hour fixing it. This was a simple job with a basic sink that we bought at Lowe's. I could have asked a friend to do it, and it would have taken him all of an hour. But Zachow had always been honest and professional in the past, and we expected the same this time. I am currently challenging this outrageous charge.

I scheduled an appointment with Randy Zachow for an estimate. Shortly after the scheduled time, I watched as the truck drove past my house and didn't stop or even slow down much. I called the office, and after a while, he came back. He said he thought the house looked empty so he didn't stop. When he did check the house, he didn't spend much time. His estimate had the least description of the work to be performed, leaving a lot undefined. It was also $3,000 more than the lowest bid (although to be fair, the four bids were spread out evenly with about $1,000 difference between each). I don't think he liked the neighborhood (mixed levels of housing), and I don't think he wanted the job.

We called and they came out the next day. The plumber was on time, professional, and courteous, and did the work quickly.
