We noticed an odor coming from under the kitchen sink. While under the sink investigating, we noticed a small amount of water towards the back of the cabinet but could not find the source. We called Zachow Plumbing because it was on the top of the list. A plumber came & looked under the kitchen sink, but could not find the source of the smell. He cleaned the trap on the drain side-not on the disposal side because the clean out was not accessible. The plumber found the source of the drip to be coming from the side spray & took it apart. After working on it & putting it back together it leaked water more than it had before. He offered to put a cheap spray on but we declined as we had an expensive Franke faucet & spray that could be under warranty. He told us someone would return & give us a bid to fix the pipes & spray. Someone returned to look at the disposal & spray & sent us a proposal for $593 to reconfigure the drain/disposal & install spray. We still have smell & water drip!

Zachow came for an estimate and walked through our ideas for adding a master bath in our attic addition. From the very start they were up front and informative about what would be needed including changes to our original galvanized plumbing and that we would need to have the city check water pressure, etc. We received a prompt estimate and they even came to move our vent pipe last minute before winter really got going (without that our entire project would have had to wait for spring). They arrived on time and were very professional and the work was completed. They went out of their way to make sure it was done right, without cutting corners or adding cost. They found ways to get the installation complete without major structural changes which helps in a remodel. I am looking forward to having them return for the finish!

Everything went really well. Everyone was on-time, met the schedule and the cost for the job was exactly as they quoted. We have been using the shower now for a couple of months with no problems and it drains perfectly. No complaints!

It went very well. Now I can't comment on the price that we got for the unit, so I don't know whether the price for the disposal that was installed was competitive, but the convenience and trust that I have in Zachow's was enough for me to let the guy continue when he said that he had to replace the unit. The plumber was prompt and had everything to accomplish the job and quickly. I even asked him to check a couple of the bathroom drains since it seemed they were leaking and he took care of those.

This was a good experience. Their price was reasonable when compared to other companies.

They came the next day to install the water heater even though it was not an emergency. They even vacuumed the basement before they left.

They were out within an hour and a half. When they found out that we only had one bathroom, they said they would send someone out as possible. Keith that came out was wonderful. He was nice, knowledgeable and a good person! He asked me what was going on and got right to work. There was no fooling around and he knew what he was doing!

They were booked for the day. They offered me an appointment for the next day, but also recommended another plumber that I could call if I didn't want to wait. The told me it would cost approximately $425.

Zachow was willing to schedule next day service, it was my choice to schedule a week in advance. Don showed up on time at 8am, work done by 10:15am. Don did the work by himself, was efficient, on time, no problems noted.

They were very good. They did everything on time and were very responsive. I would use them again, I was happy with them.

I called them for a bathtub emergency. We only have one full bathroom and the bathtub stopped working. The person was very nice and understanding over the phone. He said that they'll try to fit us in the afternoon, though he couldn't guarantee it. When I called in the afternoon to check, he told me that I have been crossed from the list. They didn't even call!!!!!!

Were able to come out later the same day. I would have appreciated a call to let me know they were on the way, but I was just happy that they could come out the same day. Also took the time to fix one of my sink faucets. The plumber was courteous and efficient, this is the second time I have used this company and I have been satisfied both times.

Everything went really well. The original quote only included replacing the existing plumbing although I explained to the estimator (Randy) that there seemed to be a venting problem. After the plumbing was replaced the drain problem still existed. The plumber explained that some other parts were needed to fix the problem. He came back later that week and replaced some more of the plumbing and fixed the venting issue without an additional charge. I commend Zachow on committing to fixing my issue without increasing my original estimate. I know that they lost money on the job because Randy told me. The plumber was friendly and professional and cleaned up after himself.

It went very well. They sent a plumber out on the day I called. He was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable and the repair was handled very quickly.

The process went well. The plumber showed up right on time and was professional--one of the Zachow grandsons if I recall correctly. He installed the heater and was good about explaining how things work (I tend to be "involved" in work done on my house and he was kind in his explanations as I asked many a question). After some work to get everything to fit, the install was done and everything was set. There was some limited plugging of the drains on the upper levels of our house as sediment worked its way out of the pipes for a few daysI was able to clean it out without a problem. One thing that I worried about after the install was that I didn't have a written estimate beyond the $700 dollars from the initial call. I was convinced that this is a good company when the bill arrived and it was exactly $700. I'd go with this company again. I am concerned about some minor bowing on some of the gas pipes. No leaks, but if it is a problem, they'll fix it right away.

The work that they did was fine - the funny thing was that they told me I would have somebody out the next day, but there was a huge snow storm (11 inches!). I totally understand why they came the next day instead!

Randy came over to do the estimate. He showed up on time and got back to me quickly. Don did the work the next day and everything turned out well. I liked that they could do the gas and plumbing in one job but I got the impression that they don't do a lot of gas work. If it had just been a gas job, I might have gone with someone else, but otherwise, they did a good job and was able to do it in my time frame.

I didn't bother with an estimate after reading so many glowing reports on Angie's List -- just decided to schedule them for the needed work (before visitors arrived). Prompt, professional, efficient, and neat. Herb answered our many questions readily.

This was our first experience with a company from Angie"s List. I liked the reports that were available to review and the listing of services also helped me select this company because they also did sewer work. As mentioned earlier, we were impressed with the knowledge and professional demeanor of the workman.

Once again, the service was prompt and efficient. We now have a video of the sewer and feel comforted knowing that it is now in A-1 shape. We felt the cost was reasonable as well.

Overall, the company met my expectations. They were easy to work with for scheduling, they promptly returned phone calls, and were careful to contain messes and cleaned up very well before leaving.

The work was completed promptly and efficiently. The serviceman was very professional, friendly and competent. He worked quickly and left the work area clean. I'm so glad to know that I can call this plumber to have any plumbing problems solved quickly.
