Description of Work: Not sure of date as this was last fall. Dryer was making noise when tumbling. Service tech replaced parts under the dryer tub. No further problem. Service tech named Ruben apparently has worked for Sears repair many years, and services all makes/models of washers and dryers even if they were not purchased at Sears. I would highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreI am very disappointed. The oven door handle keeps falling off and the door will not stay open. Sears will not stand behind its product and wants to charge me for the same replacement parts that keep failing. I refuse to pay them for these inferior parts.
Description of Work: I purchased a Kenmore electric smooth top range in 2005 online at Sears.com and an exteded 5-yr service contract. During the 5 years I had several service calls about the door handle that keeps falling off and the oven door springs are so tight that the door slams and will not stay open. The handle was replaced twice and the door components were replaced once. Sears makes their product so you must purchase the entire door assembly. Once the handle falls off, the door glass falls out in addition to the other parts holding the door in place. Sears refused to fix the springs even though they were covered under my warranty. My warranty has now expired and I do not have an oven door that works because again the handle fell off and the screws can no longer be tightened. Sears wants to again charge me about $300 to replace these unreliable parts. My hand has been slammed in the door and I have suffered several burns on my hand. The range works fine and I should not have to buy a new range just because Sears won't stand behind their product. I have never had a range where the door handle falls off. I called the service line and was told that Sears now make parts that are not as reliable as they used to be. All I want is a range with a door handle that will not fall off.

+ -1 moreWhen they delivered my washer, Sears called the day before to confirm. They called before they came to let me know they were on their way, and when to expect them. They gentlemen that brought the washer were very professional and quick. They had everything done within 15 minutes. I would recommend Sears to family and friends.
