Switching from an old "family" plan and going to mobile share plan. Sales person at other location was unable to answer questions regarding new plan. Called the toll free number and spoke to 4 differnet representatives from customer service to no avail. Did online chat without any success. Returned to original store and was directed to go to the corporate store on Bluemound Road. Spoke with Yari about situation and made an appointment for 1/1/2014 at 10:45 a.m, with Yari. Drove in a snow storm for appointment. Store hours posted on door indicated they opened at 10:00 a.m. I went to door and it was locked. Saw three employees inside and knocked on door. All three ignored me. Stood outside in freezing cold, during snow storm, talking through the door to say that I had an appointment. Not one of the employees came to the door the explain why they weren't opening the door the let customers in, I returned home, and found no message that my appointment had been cancelled, rather I found an email reminder sent by AT&T reminding me of the appointment. Horrible customer service on many levels. If customer service is at all important to you I do not recommend AT&T.
Description of Work: Provided 2 year mobile share contract with purchase of Samsung smartphone and accessories and start prepay phone service.

They are expensive. I'm in an area that doesn't have a very good AT&T connection.
Description of Work: I have internet and phone service through SBC/AT&T. I've been using them for about 7 years.

They said they were going to send me a starter kit. They failed to tell me that I needed to buy a router. Then when the starter kit came, I learned I needed to pay for a router. I bought a router from Best Buy for $60. It took about 1 1/2 hrs to get the settings right on my computer from ATT tech support. It worked fine when the DSL cable was plugged directly into my laptop. Later when I tried to get the wireless router working properly it did not. I found out later that with DSL the wireless router needs different settings. Time Warner cable does not need special settings. After talking to Tech Support at ATT they said they will fix the setting problem for $100. They do not offer tech support for wireless routers. This is a common problem and they ignored the fact that it cause problems for users. I still have not fixed the problem. The speed is slower and I get bumped off line sometimes. I regret that I changed to ATT from Time Warner. You will pay more for Time Warner but it is worth it.
Description of Work: I switched internet service from Time Warner to ATT DSL.

The internet wasn't available half the time, it wouldn't connect. Way too often there were problems. There were some problems on our line. It would have brief interruptions every two or three minutes. If you were downloading music or movies you need a continuous connection. It would never work because of interruptions. I called and complained. The guy came out and did a check and told me that there was nothing wrong. I explained that we couldn't complete a download because of brief interruptions. I asked what caused that and he said he didn't know what I was talking about. In my opinion they knew what the problem was, but since it would take a lot of money to replace it they weren't going to do anything until they got enough complaints. We went to another company as soon as we could.
Description of Work: AT&T used to be our internet provider.

I have used AT&T for wireless service for several years. When I began with them I got a call every 6 - 12 months it seemed reviewing my usage and recommending a better plan -- I saved a lot of money, they kept me loyal to them. Today, it's a different story. I moved one year ago and although I've told them several times that I've moved, they continue to send my bills to my old house!!! Also, since getting a new phone I'm having all kinds of dropped calls. I suspect I will be changing service when the next service contract comes up. AT&T service seems to be on a decline.

Let me tell you how bad this company is. They have come out a total of 4 times and still have not done the work. Each time they come out they never have either the equipment or the knowledge to do the work. Even though I am very clear about how old our house is, the size of the house and any details I think they need. etc. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone EVER.

Found a "good deal" using AT&T for internet service. Contacted the company. Within days package of required connecting products arrived. My friend installed it. He had some problem which was rectified with a phone call within a day. I was impressed that the billing accurately reflected the rebate and price quoted in the advertisement. The service is very good for the price.

I purchased one of the "slower" internet services, but it works great for my needs. I purchased a wireless router that came with a rebate (which took about 6 months to get). I haven't had any problems with the service, and was able to set it up myself with some phone tech support.

This company offered the lowest price and we did not have to sign a contract. We did have some issues with the initial installation. It was not installed correctly the first time, so we had to call them to have some one come back to connect the dish correctly. They were responsive and they sent some one back in a week. I am rating the experience from the two visits. One was good, one was not. If I had to put in another dish, I am not sure I would use them again.
Description of Work: We hired this company to install a satilite dish for reception. We live in a rural area with poor reception.

I was disappointed that they do not send a technician to install the modem for you. Then shortly after installation, the modem went out. I called them and they informed my that they have had a lot of problems with that model, and that they would send a new one in 2-3 days. Three days later I called them to see where the modem was, and they told me that the order just went in, and it would be 2-3 days longer. The whole experience could have been better.
