Over the Top Roofing & Construction

Rick came out & spent about 1 hour checking the chimney, roof & fireplace for repairs. He gave me some options to fix the water leak & said he would get back to me with estimate for the repairs. NEVER heard another word from him or Over the top roofing. Terrible customer relations !!

I called him late at night, he requested I call the next day, which I did. We talked on the phone, he estimated the amount of gutters I would need, and quoted me a price. He also sent an e-mail confirmation on the price. He did not come out to the house, I did not see what they offer, but he was friendly.

Out of all the companies that bid on the project, Jason from Over the Top Roofing and Construction was the best! He was very professional, great personality and we felt very comfortable working with. My only complaint was his follow through. I was ready to give him the business but I had to keep calling to get the quote. After I finally got his quote, he was a little high compared to his competition. I would have still gone with his company but his competitor was very quick on getting back to me with a quote. Jason commented he was very busy and my quote fell through the cracks. What else would fall through the cracks on doing the job. I feel Jason and his company are probably very good and the timing was bad. I would still recommend Jason for future bids.

Rick and his team from Over the Top Roofing & Construction did a great job repairing our chimney, nailing down flashing on our roof, as well as tuck-pointing around the entirety of our home. He and his team were on time, tidy, and delivered exactly what we asked of them. Rick was also extremely responsive and answered all of our questions throughout the process. He was also able to provide us with on the go estimates for any additional work we requested once they began the work. Should we need any future work done we will be sure to call him and his team again.

I reached out via message and received a response from Nancy. I then provided pictures and she informed me that I would be contacted soon. I received a call the next day from Rick and scheduled an appointment for an estimate @ 10am on Monday. All of that went very well so for responsiveness I rated A. On Monday at 9:34AM I received a call from Rick asking if we could meet at 11AM instead. I know things come up so I said that was fine. 11AM comes and goes. A little after noon I called Rick and he did not answer. Rick never showed up for our appointment and decided to dodge my call and never call back. Completely unprofessional and a waste of my morning off. This company has an A rating on Angie's List so it's probably a one off but keep in mind you might be "ghosted" by them.

It only took about 5 hours for the tear-off and installing new shingles. The gutters were replaced on a separate day and took about 1 hour.

Great advice from the get-go , as far as what to do and how to do it ......big crew came to get it done in mostly one day , with a little finish work to come back for ...water proof in one day !New skylight , properly installed makes the upper bath MUCH brighter , now ....nice workers , too !

It was good! On December 21st, I found out the gutter that was installed was blocking our fence and we didn't have any problems before. I spoke to the person who set up my gutters and had installed, his name is Garrett and when I called to let him know, I found out that he no longer works with Over The Top Roofing. So on December 26, I spoke with Sarah from Over The Roofing regarding this situation to have it resolved. They put me on the list of customers that they needed to do a work for. However, I haven't had a resolution to the problem yet. I am still working with and I will keep Angie's List updated. Someone did come from Over The Top Roofing, his name is Dan. He came on January 9 to view the situation and I told him not to cut the fence and I suggest to put in a small gutter as was before. And so when I got the proposal, they recommended to cut the fence which I said I don't want.

They installation went very very good

Please with the work and they returned promptly to touch up.

Work actually happened two weeks earlier than planned, but it worked out well. Workers cleaned up afterwards and materials they used match my roof well. The estimate was higher than I originally thought it would be, but I have learned you get what you pay for. Many of the roofers I contacted did not want to do a small job. Very responsive to email and easy to work with.

I was told by customer rep that they would assign somebody to come to my home, instead the estimator called me and asked what color trim we had? I explained to him what was dictated to the rep: there is wood damage from moisture on a soffit panel I saw when skylight is opened, it leaks, can this be repaired? The estimator saw just a picture of the interior of skylight I submitted to him. He gave me an estimate for NEW SKYLIGHTS via US mail & never came to personally see the damage and if it could be repaired.

Excellent! Joe was my main contact and he was extremely helpful. I've had issues with many other local contractors. Many companies seem to not take the time to call you back if your job is less than $5k. Joe answered all of my emails promptly and was able to schedule our project very quickly. I'll likely go to them again for more roofing work that is needed. Thanks guys!

We had a great experience with Over the Top. The sales manager, Jim was awesome to work with. He wasn't pushy about any of the products they work with and gave us honest opinions and answers about which products we really needed on our roof. He was always quick to respond to us via phone or email and worked with our schedule to get the job done. Out of the three other quotes we had in our hand, we were most pleased with the sales experience we had with Over the Top. The roofing team did a great job installing and cleaning up. They also did a nice job keeping a flower bed clear of debris without even having to say anything to them about it. Ryan, the project manger always answered the phone if I had a question for him. Anything that needed some followup on, he was right on top of it.

They threw away our leaf guards without talking to us about it first.

Repair job was done a few days after initial estimate. A+ service and very professional.

Very well. The job was completed in just two days. The finished product looks very nice. The shingles seem much sturdier than the ones that were replaced. We haven't had much harsh weather since it was installed, but so far no problems. The install was painless. There wasn't much interference with our routine. The clean-up was good. Everybody that I met with (Joe, Ryan, and the roofing team) were very pleasant and professional. I would definitely recommend Over the Top.

Outstanding! Joe Koenig and his team were extremely professional. The roofs look brand new. They even granted my request to blow out the leaves in a gutter on the other end of the house (which wasn't where they were working) which I couldn't reach.

I called over the top, they responded right away. They came out to give a quote soon after. The job was scheduled and completed pretty quickly. I had no issues.

They did a great job and finished on time. There were a few minor things that had to be taken care of, and they were. James Brown is a man of his word, and a great guy to deal with.

As the job progressed we found that some of the rafter tails on the front porch were rotted and needed to be replaced. I cut the rafter tails and Over The Top installed them at no extra charge, they even re-roofed the dog house with left over shingles for no extra charge (I was going to do that myself). The old roof was very old and had leaks, Over The Top got the job done well before the bad weather hit.

They were on time, had a large crew, replaced the rotted wood as necessary, moved a vent stack out of a valley, installed waterproofing and added Ridge vents to house and garage. They completed the work in under 5 hours-it was a very large crew. Gutters & fascia were replaced also.

They did a great job. They were not the cheapest, but they were by far not the most expensive either.

They were too high. Normally, I use Angie’s List and I get 3 contractors and sometimes local ones. I just compare prices, and 2 phone calls for recommendations and that’s how I go about getting my guy. They were very quick to respond to my request, except they were just a little too high. They sent the quote on time. I would probably not use them, I cannot foresee me putting another roof on for another 20 years. They did not provide a service really, they provided a quote. I wouldn’t even consider them, other than getting a quote.
