It went splendid! I called Kane Electric to ask about getting an estimate on changing out switches and outlets. This was a small job and Dennis provided an hourly rate over the phone and let me know the scope of the job would require about 1-2 hours. After hearing the estimate, a Monday morning appointment was set. Dennis called a few minutes before the appointment time and let me know he was on his way. Once Dennis arrived he was fine with my dog and had no problem taking off his shoes at my request! I showed Dennis the work and he started taking care of it quickly. I asked if I could watch and ask questions as I've done some electrical work myself, but this was a bit out of my scope (switches and outlets had 2 hot wires and were back-stabbed - I'm used to 1 hot wire and wrapping the wire around the screw). Dennis was very polite and explained exactly what he was doing and why. Dennis was polite, respectful and willing to explain what he was doing and why. I will recommend Kane Electric to friends and would absolutely hire Kane Electric again!

The service went fine. It was easy to schedule the deal and they arrived on time. I had them install an outlet. One electrician came out and worked with my wife since I was not home. They did a good job and the outlet has worked just fine.

I had them change out a fan. One or two electricians came out.

The whole job two days. They removed and rehung a TV on the wall (I did the other one myself before I knew they would do it). On both days, they vacuumed and cleaned up before they left. There was no issue with their service.

He did not come to his appointment with us to quote a job that could have made him thousands of dollars. He gave us a 1 hour window. I was there 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after. So, I wasted 2 hours of my day. He didn't come and he didn't even call.

The electrician, I think his name was Josh, asked what we wanted done. He had called previously and I had explained then, but now he could see for himself. We wanted him to take down a fan in a bedroom and replace it with a new one which we had purchased ahead of time. He went straight to work, covering the furniture from any debris from his work. He finished in what we thought was a reasonable time, and cleaned up the area from his work. He spent a few minutes with us answering a couple of questions, bid us Goodbye, and was gone. It went just fine as far as we were concerned. He was a very nice young man, and we would definitely call him again.

Very fast, on time and professional. Wouldn't hesitate to hire in the future.

Prompt, polite and when there was a problem, he dealt with it in a professional manner. Completely satisfied.

They did some surveying and found where the problem was and stated that it wasn't a hazard and also informed us that it was a motion light that was causing the problem. They were extremely polite and professional. I am going to be calling them again in the future.

Kane Electric did send me a prompt email with a contact name, however it have decided to do a "major" remodel of the area instead of just a few upgrades. I would have been happy to use Kane Electrical company if I were going to just upgrade instead of remodeling.

Everything turned out really well. It was a very positive experience. I have had them out a few times after that as well. Scheduling has just fine. He was very easy to work with.

I then made another appointment, and they came back. They were here just for 20 minutes for the one hour big deal. They were scheduled to come out on the 7th of March, and then he called me on the 6th and asked if he could come out that morning. They were real quick to take care of it.

Initially Dennis called me right away to schedule a time for a quote on the job. He came the same day and I was told a quote would be emailed to me by the weekend. The verbal quote was $450 - I did not hear from Dennis nor receive the quote so I called and left a message with no return. I emailed twice with no response. At this point I was concerned because I was already removing everything from my kitchen to get the electrical work completed and had found some things that I perceived as potential issues and wanted Dennis to be aware of them. After connecting with Angie's List, I did receive a phone call and found out Dennis was on vacation. He stated the quote would be $550 which I questioned because at my home he said $450 at which time he stated materials were extra. (Let this be a lesson to all of us. I figured the materials were part of the quote especially since I had offered to purchase them and he stated he would.) We scheduled a date of Wednesday, March 26th - however, the next day at work I checked my calendar to find out if that date was okay. It wasn't - I had a seminar scheduled so I immediately sent Dennis another email requesting we change the date to Thursday, March 27th. This was a date two weeks in advance after the phone call when Dennis was on vacation. Again, no response - I left it alone. As I thought, Dennis was calling and leaving me a message on March 26th to let me know he was coming over to my house after picking up the outlets and other materials required. I was on my way to the seminar so called him back and let him know I sent an email which he never acknowledged and I would not be home. Per Dennis, he assumed the email was a previous one so never even read it. We did arrange for him to arrive the next day at 8:00 a.m. So, Dennis arrived and we went through everything that could not be seen prior to removing cabinets, etc. Dennis did not have the outlets with him so he did the wiring and put in the boxes along with the "additional" work and he told me I would have to wait for the outlets to be put in until after I had the drywall installed. Okay so Dennis and another guy were at my home from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. plus they now have to come back - we estimated 2 hours of additional time for actually putting in the outlets and connecting the dishwasher and I went out and purchased the outlets so I have them for his return. Here is where I'm not certain - Dennis said he had to come back when I have the drywall up. The drywall is up, but the dishwasher cannot be installed until the cabinets are in and right now I have NO electric in my kitchen area. I estimate the cabinets and dishwasher won't be in for another 6 weeks or so. Dennis didn't appear to be real happy with me when he left and I'm not sure why since I tried communicating with him. He did say he did a lot of extra work, but he was paid for his time so I'm not sure if he thinks I should have paid more or what. So that's the conflicting part of this experience. . . Here's the flip side - Dennis knows what he's doing and gets it done. There's not much more I can say about it. It's his business, he appears to know it very well and he works. Would I use Kane Electric again - absolutely, but I would surely make sure I have everything understood before proceeding with any work and communication is key - Dennis is busy, but you still need to connect with your customers!! I am a planner. I need to know everything is taken care of - timeframe, supplies, etc. When does the job begin and when does it end. I will not apologize to anyone for being like this.

Kane contacted me one day after I purchased the bid deal. He was able to stop by the same day to finish the job. Really impressed with the speed.

It went excellent. The guys were here when they said they'd be here. They did a super job and they didn't take them long. They even have fair price. They understood exactly what I wanted to be done. They didn't take long. Base on the service, quality and courteousness; when I would need electricians again I would go to them. I was completely pleased. I was shocked with the low price.

There were on time, in fact, they were about 15 minutes early. Overall, I was very happy with the work when they were done. They ran into a bit of an issue with the existing conditions not being up to code but they corrected the issue and stayed an hour and a half to complete the job. I would definitely use them again. The only drawback is that they only work from 7-3:30 Monday through Friday. I understand not working on the weekends but I wish they would work until 5.

Dennis did a nice job and was very neat.

I called to set up an appointment because my dishwasher wasn't working and the dishwasher repairman told me there was no power going to it. Dennis returned my call the next day and we set up an appointment. He ended up coming the next day as he was in my neighborhood. He quickly got to the root of the problem (a poor switch replacement by a non-electrician friend) and the dishwasher worked! I also told him that the light switch in the 2nd bedroom didn't work to turn on the light when you entered. He found the problem and quickly fixed it. I was very impressed with his response to my call and how quickly he assessed and fixed my problem. I would recommend him to others and will use his company again.

Came on time and finished in time promised.

Professional and to the point. Had light fixtures replaced along with switches Patient with my questions. Initially had purchased an Angie's coupon and than decided to have more things done.

He arrived early and was done in no time, moving it closer to the wall. Very professional, prompt and courteous. Thanks for a job well done.

I used the Angie's List deal for one hour of work plus a panel inspection for $75. We had a ceiling fan on a 3-way switch that was working but only if the switches were used in a certain way. He was on time, polite, and friendly. He quickly determined the issue was a defective switch and got one from his truck and installed it. He then inspected the panel and pointed out some things about it for my future reference. Great job, worth the money, will call them again if needed.
