Our AC and furnace was 15 years old. It was still working, but was needing some repairs and was not very efficient compared to current models. We decided to replace it in May, while it was not an emergency. Gross presented us with written quotes on three options (good, better, best). We chose the best option because of two reasons. First, the "best" unit included varying fan speeds for more efficiency and a more constant climate. Second, the added cost was a reasonable amount. The installation was scheduled a few days after we made a decision. The team showed up on time at 8am. After a quick walk through, I went off to work and the installation team went to work. They called my mobile before 3pm to let me know they were finished, and I came home to see the results. All of the equipment was installed and working great. It was a nice surprise to see that the area surrounding our brand new furnace had been cleaned, including the basement floor which was soiled and stained from our old system. I was given a thorough walk through on the new equipment, maintenance requirements, and controls. I ordered the system with Carrier's My Infinity thermostat system. My Infinity includes wall unit with a Wi-Fi internet connection, and integration with an iPhone app. The wall control unit has a color touchscreen that matches the iPhone app. Scheduling your temperature changes is very easy and you can do it from either the wall unit or your iPhone. A big plus for Spring in Wisconsin is that the unit will automatically switch between AC and Heat.

They are the best heating/cooling company I have ever dealt with. My home warranty sent someone that didn't know what they were doing to fix our heat when it went out in the middle of the winter. Those people took 2 days to try to fix the problem before we called in Gross who ended up tightening a couple screwes and the problem has been fixed ever since. They are very knowledgeable and we would not use anyone else.

They were very responsive. They were wonderful. We have worked with them for a long time. The owner came over himself and fixed our problem. We buy all our furnaces from them. They are great. Their prices are reasonable. They are not high or low.

When I went into this I wasn't sure what I needed. My central air unit is getting old and after last summer the back bedrooms just weren't getting cold. We called around and got a few estimates, Jeff came out took a look and didn't oversell anything. Our duct work needed repairs bad and also the unit needed a good cleaning. Jeff said the cleaning couldn't be done until the weather got warmer so he will be back. He returned my call right away to come out for a quote. He came out on a Friday, his prices weren't the highest or lowest but his explanation was great, my wife dealt with the quote part and felt very comfortable with Jeff. I called them after I got home from work, Jeff asked if we were going to have both portions of the quote taken care of by Gross, I agreed to that without knowing if they would be any good, well after seeing the service we received I have no doubt that will be handled as well as the first round of the quote. Three days after we had my work or a portion of it done. He said the tech person would be here between 7 and 7:30, I took the day off work incase i was needed. At 7:30 he pulled up, very professional we chatted some and he went about his job. Cleaned up took time to show us what he had done. Told us a few things we should let Jeff know to even improve our air flow better so that when he sends out another tech person they can take care of that too. I would recommend Gross to anyone, and will use them again, at some point we will need a new central air unit and a furnace I will call Gross first. Now if the weather would just heat up I can get the rest of my quote completed, but I have no doubt that when it does, Gross will be out here without me having to call.

Mike was prompt and extremely professional. He fixed the issues right away, explained the issues with our 25 year old furnaces to us very clearly and, after I asked, explained the various types of furnaces on the market right now, as we need to replace both. He was top-notch!

It was a good experience. We were happy with the service and the new unit. They were very nice to work with.

I needed 2 furnaces & air conditioners replaced and obtained 4 quotations from other HVAC companies. I choose Gross because I was very impressed with Greg Billlmyer, Sales Manager, and the careful assessment he did of my home and the installation process. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and pointed out several installation options which I did not think of. He gave me the quotation before he left my home. The actual price was $12,200 with a $700 rebate from Carrier, $500 from the state and a $100 rebate from WE Energies. When I called him to inform him that Carrier got the job, he offered a very flexible installation schedule for me to choose from. The best was yet to come with the installation. Dane Masznicz was the installation technician who did an unbelievable job. He was very friendly and answered any questions which I had. The install took 2 days as quoted and everything was running great. The install was excellent with the PVC pipes all 90 degree angles and horizontal runs straight. The units looked great and they were very particular about cleaning up after themselves with NO mess what-so-ever. I am very pleased and would most definately recommend them.

From the first call to the office to schedule a salesman to come out to discuss our needs to the actual installation of the unit, the process went very very smoothly. Jeff was here to discuss what we needed to have done as a result of a recent energy audit. He measured out everything and determined the size of unit and provided us with a quote during his visit Monday. Two days later on Wednesday the crew of 2 came to install the unit. Everything went just great. The guys had to drill through a heavy stone facade to create the intake and exhaust vents and they toughed through it in fine fashion. The placement of the unit, the ductwork and vents were to our liking. The unit itself is so unbelievably quiet and we could tell the difference in the house air from the moment it was turned on. The installation crew were very professional, nice, friendly and cleaned up everything afterwards. They showed us how to control the unit from the thermostat and answered our questions. The whole process was wonderful. I will definitely call Gross Heating again!

The initial call was a little scary as the person who answered the phone said "ya, I think we can be there today". So, I had to believe someone would show up. The service person who came to my house was very knowlegable. He had it fixed in about an hour. Explained the situation completely. I was extremely pleased. I had been baking Chrismas cookies (partially to get some heat in the house). I offered cookies to him which he accepted :). That made me happy as well!

Called Gross to set up appointment. Unfortunately their schedule was pretty full and they couldn't fit us in for a few weeks out. When the need for a cleaning became more immediate, we had to call back. Gross fit us in right away. The service man was very professional and friendly. He answered all our questions, and we were very happy with his work and the suggestions he made.

All appointments made to survey equipment by salesman and work scheduled were all right on time. Workers kept the house clean, and explained the operation of the new equipment.

The technician not only solved the problem, he explained all that he was doing and why. He explained what I needed to know to troubleshoot if/when another problem should occur and he made sure I was confident I could do what was necessary.

I'm not going to bore you with details as my experience was nearly identical to many others here. I'll simply lend another voice to those saying these guys do great work.

From the first visit to the last, this company was very professional and friendly. They arrived for our estimate in a company truck, and thoroughly described what we needed for our house. At no time did it feel like it was a sales pitch, which I can't say for all of the companies we received estimates from. Their estimate was also the best value in comparison to the other companies and the products that we were offered by all three, so I'm very happy with what we paid. The installers were also very professional and complete in the work they performed. One of the installers walked us through using our new thermostat, which was very helpful and saved us from reading through the manual. The cleanup was not 100%, but it was very close and a lot better compared to other companies I've had perform work on our home. I've called the company office with several questions and the office staff has been very responsive and helpful as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this company and wouldn't hesitate using them again.

I was very impressed with Gross Heating. The installation team was great. The old furnace, air conditioner and water heater were quickly removed and the new ones installed. They were great about explaining everything that was being done and went the extra mile to bolt down the drainage tubes because my cats love to play with them and were constantly pulling the old ones out of the floor drain. They cleaned up after the installation and removed all of the old furnace parts, air conditioner and water heater. I love my new furnace and the new 7 day programable thermostat is wonderful. My old one only allowed me to program Week Days and Saturday and Sunday, so being able to set each day individually is great and so much more efficient. I have not used the new air conditioning unit yet, but am looking forward to that come summer. The humidifier is also an item I am very happy with and I like that it can be set right on the thermostat. The other nice thing is that I was able to get an energy rebate on the furnace / air conditioner and then received an additional rebate from Carrier which really made the cost of the unit much better. I am a very satisfied customer and would recommend Gross Heating to anyone looking for a new heating unit.

The installation went very smoothly. As rain was in the weather forecast they hurried to bring in equipment and set up tarps to protect the outdoor installation. They rotated the new furnace so it is much easier to service and according to the city inspector, is much better placed. They were amazingly efficient AND took great care to clean up when they were done. There were multiple technicians who were pleasant and worked well together.

.The representative from Gross gave us several options with prices and features clearly described. There were some energy rebates from the manufacturer Carrier that were about to expire which they were able to utilize which made the price more reasonable. Our job was done within the time frame specified. The technician explained many of the features of the new thermostat and made sure we could program it. The air conditioning unit could not be tested due to the cold weather, but Gross came back out at NO extra charge in the spring to finish the testing. We have had the new equipment for a year now and are very pleased with its operation, and the reduced energy bills both winter and summer! We would definitely recommend Gross Heating & Cooling to others replacing furnaces or AC units.

Sales call consisted of explaining the different systems. I had consulted with Burkhardt as well and although Gross explained the systems I learned most information such as fully modulating from Burkhardt. What made the sale was Jeff the sales guy suggested reworking some of the duct work around the furnace to work more efficiently. Whereas Burkhardt said the set up was ok, it did need reworking so that the furnace could perform the most efficient. Scheduling was a breeze with the office. Jeff had our rebates sent fast. Gross set up all the permits and sub contractors. They even sent the paperwork for the state rebate. Installation took an entire day. They had moved the ac unit about 5 ' so it wouldn't be right by the back door. Took apart both old furnace and ac unit. They tarped the stairs, hallways, and carpet, which was very much appreciated. My father in law is in the construction field and when he came to look at the installation he made a comment at what an outstanding job they had done. They tapped into a gas line and brought a water line in fir the humidifier. All new copper lines and tubing were also done. This unit is fantastic. It's been in the mid 80's and I don't think my ac has gone on more than 5 times in the past 2 weeks. Yet the house stays cool at 70 degrees. I am still waiting to see what the electric bill is but I am positive that it will be lower. We had an old inefficient oil furnace and the winter should save us so much money without having to purchase oil every month. Let alone the cost but the unit is very energy efficient.

The technician arrived on time and spent about two and a half hours going over our air conditioner and furnace. He replaced some hoses and a filter for our humidifier too. He was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Gross's price was very competitive and the installation went very smoothly. It was a bit like having your furnace installed by a Daytona pit crew trained in furnaces with several trucks arriving with different teams. Completed in the morning (unbelievably) neat and clean including replacement of the old concrete pads on the air-conditioning units. The wiring on the thermostats was done by an artist--I should add a picture. Very professional ductwork, neatly run lines, tight masonry work around where the pipes were vented. First-class job. Almost sorry I don't have something else for them to do.

I cannot say enough about Gross. They are a very trustworthy and hard working company. They are prompt, courteous, and take pride in the work they do. With being burned by many service providers in the past, I'm happy to say that Gross Heating and Air Conditioning is one company I would trust to provide an honest bill for top notch work.

They were excellent. They were very professional and friendly. They worked hard at making sure they kept things clean. They also explained things. I made some follow up calls and they were very quick to respond.

They were excellent. They were courteous and prompt. He knew what he was doing. He gave me a walking tour and showed how he had hidden the exit tube in a bush. They offer excellent customer service.

Monday night our air conditioner stopped cooling. Air was blowing through the registor but outside unit was not working. We called Gross Heating, on Tuesday morning, the start of three days of really hot weather, and the day before the 4th holiday. We were really worried we would have to wait til later in the week. They were able to come out the same day, and he checked out unit and replaced capacitor.

Thorough service, forthright with information, very competent, on time and took the effort to explain anything I asked.
