The technician was professional and had manners. It took them probably about 30 minutes or so. The person who answers the call is very professional and has manners and is very aware of what you need.

I have them come out periodically for the tuneups. I used a coupon, it was one of the deals that they had. Their customer service is very friendly and the technician arrived on time, knew exactly what he was doing and didn't take long. It has been working fine. Everything was fine. We carefully read reviews of local HVAC contractors here in Angie's List and on Yelp. We considered positive versus negative reviews, and quantity of reviews. We also read contractor responses to less than stellar write-ups. The number of years in business was also a consideration for us. Experience is certainly important. After narrowing the list down to a few companies, we decided to hire Gross. We needed to replace our systems due to their age. They were still functioning fine, but we didn't want an emergency furnace replacement situation in the middle of winter. Joe M. came out and looked at our existing equipment and then reviewed some options with us. He sent us an email outlining Carrier and Armstrong furnace and AC models, as well as other options for air purification, humidification. We called him a few times with questions, and he was very prompt with returning messages. When we reached a decision, it was very easy to sign the installation agreement and within a week our job was on the schedule. They day before the install, technician Chris called and stopped by to take measurements for the sheet metal. The next morning, on schedule, the crew arrived. Chris, Dane and Chaz were super friendly and professional. An electrician was on site too, although we didn't meet him. They took the time to explain the system and the thermostat, they tested everything and cleaned up nicely. We think they left our basement and driveway in cleaner condition than when they found it! The city inspector came out and said the job looked great. He also happened to mention that his opinion of Gross heating is that they are a very good HVAC company. In a nutshell, we are most satisfied with the job Gross Heating did for us, and the price we paid. The system is working well so far.

The work was good, they just didn't give us any operating instructions and I had to go through their main company to get the operating instructions. They must have got the operating instructions and then printed it up on a copy machine, those instructions that are given to the customers and it was so washed out, from being copied so many times. We still don't know how to operate it properly. So I'm not too happy about that. They did a good job in the regard of getting over there, being timely and doing the installation. It was just the followup and the giving us the instructions. First, they gave us a book on how to install. We didn't need to install it, they installed it. It took a while to get the operating instructions and the operating instructions were substantially badly printed. They made copies of it on their copy machine and it was barely legible.

Our 21-year-old furnace was on its death bed. As long as we were replacing it, we wanted to add air-conditioning and a humidifier. We got three quotes. Gross not only was the lowest, they quoted a better A/C unit and humidifier. The salesman was more thorough in evaluating our house and suggested a ducting change to make the A/C work more efficiently (included in the quote!). He also offered to loan us electric heaters if the furnace didn't make it till the new one was installed. My wife and I were both impressed with the crew of three plus an electrician -- we heard NO bad language while they were here! Our furnace is located in a dark corner. The electrician added a light while he was doing the re-wiring. Fantastic! I don't see how the experience could have gone any better. We will continue to use Gross in the future and recommend them to anyone who asks.

The person I spoke with in the office was courteous and helpful. She got Bill out to us the same day. He did the repair we needed at a reasonable price. Very much appreciated the quality service we received.

As well as can be expected with a 26 year old air conditioner - Technician showed on time and was very professional. Investigated problems with the unit and explained to me what was wrong and what my options were. With age of unit, replacement is needed and he is having their sales staff call me to set up home estimate.

Excellent experience overall. We have used Gross heating in the past for regular service and this was the first time we used them for a big HVAC upgrade. We were pleased with their professionalism and the quality of their work. Their price was not the lowest and we chose them because their sales person was very helpful and gave us the confidence that the job will be done well. The final work exceeded our expectation.

I called to set up an appointment, and the next day had one in the morning. The two service guys arrived on time, after my getting a call to let me know they were on the way. They were extremely courteous, and found the problem almost immediately. They also suggested some solutions to other heating problems I was having, and gave me an approximate quote. I never felt pressured, but will definitely consider some of these options in the future. I highly recommend Gross Heating!

Upon being a bit late for our initial appointment after they had said they were running late, I was looking for someone competent that could really help me with my issue here. I had others over that either did NOT understand the problem OR they lacked the abilities. Alan of Gross Heating had understood, and so we made a subsequent appointment shortly thereafter (days later) and within a couple hours, the HVAC technician had solved our noisy PVC/heating duct issues! Not only did he (Jesse) do this, he explained (an overview) the wi-fi Connex Bryant thermostat, in practical ways that would assist us in the newer Bryant forced air furnace and a/c's systems operations. I'd have to say that I would recommend Gross as a competent HVAC company, and is a very good candidate to consider for your HVAC needs.

It went well, they filled out the rebate for me, they were tidy and neat and very pleasant. I like my furnace a lot.

Gross did a wonderful job overall and made the entire process painless. The technician was professional and the unit installed seems to run well although I was only able to test it on a few warm days prior to Fall. I've used this company in the past for maintenance. In this case, I received other quotes and found Gross to be competitive in pricing.

They were wonderful. I thought that we would hire them again. We were impressed with them the first time so we hired them the second time and we were impressed with them also. They were very informative, very clean and neat, kept me in the loop of what's exactly they were doing and understanding where the best placement of the vents would be and the best placement of the air conditioner and things like that. I did compare prices and they were pretty much the best.

Great, we did have a little problem, but they came right out and took care of it. Our house is nice and cool now. They did work on ducting to get more air movement, everything is great now.

We have used them for 25 years! They have done a number of services for our a/c and furnace. The same man comes each time. He does such a nice job.

My equipment was very old and I wanted to replace everything at once. Contacted Gross and Jeff came to the house and did a very detailed inspection of the existing system, the electrical, the duct work, and also measured everything. He took a lot of time to explain thoroughly about each piece of equipment. I promptly received a detailed estimate. Within a week, three men showed up to install the equipment, they laid down tarps all the way to the basement and were very professional. After receiving several estimates, I felt that Gross took into consideration the most items and I felt that they would do the best job. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. It took them most of the day to install all of the items. An electrician came and did the wiring needed and he, too, was very neat. Before they left they swept the basement and made sure everything was in order. Everything is installed and now I am anxious to see what kind of savings I will have on my bills. I would definitely recommend this company.

Had a home warranty and the initial company assigned to our claim was difficult to work with (didn't call back, tried getting us to sign up for other unnecessary services, etc.). Our furnace was inoperable, and we had no heat. I called around for estimates from different HVAC companies in the area, and Gross' customer service was outstanding on the first call. The receptionist was very friendly and understanding. She made the extra effort to get a tech out the same day to take a look at our unit. They gave us different options, no pressure to buy. Answered all our questions on replacing just the furnace, or the full furnace/AC together. We opted for the full unit, and it was installed the next week. (They provided space heaters for us to use, no cost, during the few days we were without heat.) Installation was fine, and follow-up for services was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable company. Would recommend to anyone.

However, I was able to correct a simple problem myself (that he did not even check) and the furnace has been working fine.

Their prices are competitive and work is done in a professional manner. I would use them again. They cleaned up great as well and couldn’t even tell they had been there.
