They did an excellent job! They worked hard and did the work within the allotted time. They took away the old furnaces and air conditioner. They also cleaned up the area.

Dennis arrived EXACTLY at 7:00AM, as promised--courteous, professional. I had been quite neglectful and had not even replaced my furnace filter in some time. He showed me how to replace the filter, he talked with me about potential issues with improper maintenance- totally non-judgmental--he pointed out a branch that was interfering with my a/c, and suggested I hose it down occasionally (I have 2 large dogs, and the unit was a bit clogged with dog hair). He was thorough, and polite. He told me of their maintenance plan, that if I forget to call them, they will call me--no pressure--no sales, just good information--and YES, I will enroll in their maintenance plan. I felt I could trust him and will ask that he continue to service my account.

The price and product and installation went well and I am very happy with the performance of the furnace. However, there were numerous issues that left me with a poor impression around how organized they are. I negotiated my final installation, but never received an updated proposal. The installer arrived 30 minutes early, which could be positive, except it was 7:00 a.m and I was still in the shower. The details of my installation had not been communicated thoroughly to him by the sales person, so I had to stay on top of things. He didn't even know about the humidifier and had to leave to get one. I reminded him about a duct he was supposed to close. Even after that, he almost left without it done. After he left, I continued to find things laying around that I had to call the company about. The owner came out to check everything out, which was very positive, but I continued to find things after he left. There were things in an adjacent room on a chair, on a table, on a shelf in the furnace room. It was very odd. Then it turns out my manufacturer rebate request was never put through. They were very responsive to my calls and questions, so this could have been a very positive experience if they just got their act together. I just have never had to make so many follow up calls about anything in the past. A couple of months later I had them come out to check out my air conditioning. The compressor was shot. The technician told me the cost of the compressor was 70% of the cost of a new system. It was summer and I thought they would call me very quickly to discuss a repair or replacement. I didn't hear from them for 2 days about the cost of repair (which turned out to only be 30% of a new furnace) and then received a call a week later to see if I had interest in discussing replacement. I made other arrangements.

The service was very good. They were very courteous when they were there. They did all the work in two days. They showed up on time to do the work. They cleaned up everything when they were done. They showed me how everything worked before they left.

This was a huge job that required a pipefitter that really knew his stuff. I'd hired Alan for other jobs and learned that, although they weren't always the low bid on a project, his guys did excellent work. They started and finished when they said they would. I like working with Alan because he does a good job explaining what is needed, why, and how it works. He was willing to reuse any equipment that was serviceable to reduce the project cost. He makes reasonable suggestions for the best outcome and is willing to listen to my concerns and ideas about the project.

They did a GREAT job and their service guy was very personable and helpful. I will use them again. A bit more expensive than I thought, but it was because our tank was so old and had not been drained in so long that it took forever.

I called the top 5 companies for estimates from Angie s List so I originally did not know what products they install. During this process I had estimates from companies that represent 3 manufactures. After learning about these 3 companies, I decided that Carrier was the best one for me and I chose Gross Heating because of the salesperson's knowledge and competitive price compared to the other Carrier dealer.

The crew was on time & polite. The various trades and trucks came and went all day long with precision. Excellent project management on this job. Everything was installed straight & professionally. No mess or garbage was left behind. A few times I interrupted the installers to do something a little different than it looked like they were going to do, and they switched their plan without blinking an eye. It took me about two weeks to decide what options I wanted to install with my system. I went through 10 different combinations with Greg Billmyer, my sales contact. As I mixed and matched, the prices never changed, or got all mixed up, and buried in the confusion of it all. Any other time I have done this, I would always get the "well, the prices are not correct anymore because of this or that or whatever reason". Greg was fair, honest and stood behind his original pricing that he gave me at the kitchen table in my house.

Service person was late for the appointment and I was not informed of what was going on. I had to call to see if the person was still coming. Once the service person arrived, he seemed to know what he was doing and did a good job.

I got 3 estimates; Gross gave me the best price and answered all my questions directly (without a sales pitch). They showed up on time (there were 3 guys -- one showed up first, the other followed a bit later, and the last guy showed towards the end, I suspect to do the electrical work). They completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. After they completed the installation, I was told that the city would need to come by to inspect and approve the installation, so that was an additional appointment I had to make that I was not expecting (this info was not provided by any of the companies at the estimate stage). Overall, no complaints. Everything went well.

It went as well as we could have hoped. Greg the sales rep was very friendly, organized and easy to work with. He provided us with many cost saving options, educated us and never pushed us. We got five estimates total and Gross was the among the highest, but rebates brought the total cost in line with other vendors. Mike and Jeff did an excellent installation job. They worked around our requests when installing the new duct. They were also friendly and clean (a very pleasant surprise). Greg returned upon installation to walk us through the new system and was receptive to and patient with our questions. Overall, it was more money, but it was absolutely worth it. The experience was outstanding and we'll have a solid system for years.

The technician arrived promptly as scheduled at 7:30 am and proceeded to get right to work. He was pleasant, although he never introduced himself or asked for my name. He found that the Mercury sensor in our boiler was about to go bad and offered to check if he had a replacement in his truck. He did and replaced that for us, in addition to finding a problem with the part that circulates the water. He was able to fix that part with out needing any replacement parts, which saved us a bundle. He was finished in less time than estimated, about an hour and left the place as clean as he found it.

Excellent. The technician repaired and replaced parts, showed all his work, pointed out other areas of concern, and generally performed better than my expectations. He even showed me parts of the furnace that another company (Blau) had said would need replacing for an exorbitant fee. He was not critical of other companies, but was very informative. Finally, he did some work for which we were not charged. The overall experience was exactly the kind of customer/company exchange I would consider exemplary.

I thought their service was great. Since I live in a condo and the old system was 30 years old the new system was more difficult to install. New lines had to be run between the outside unit and the inside air handler. Alan figured out a clever way to run the new lines almost invisibly inside a closet. In addition they installed the air handler further into the attic crawl space to dramatically reduce the noise of the unit. I couldn't be more pleased.

Ken was an outstanding service technician! Prompt, professional, and very pleasant to do business with. We will definitely call them again for any future heating and A/C needs, as well as recommend them to family and friends!

They were prompt and efficient. We had a quote from another contractor for over $3,000 which seemed excessive to us for adding some duct work and a cold air return. Their price was much more reasonable and more along the lines of what we were expecting. Their worker arrive promptly, was very personable and professional and work very hard all day! He stayed well past 5:00 p.m. to finish the job. He cleaned everything up and did a great job! When it is time to replace our 18 year old furnace, we will definitely be giving them a call!

Ken was an absolutely great service technician; punctual, courteous, thorough, professional, and competent. Our furnace had never been cleaned by a professional, so he took quite a long time vacuuming, cleaning, and inspecting it. He did a fantastic job!!!

They are extremely reliable, neat, and the workmen are responsible. They are always on time and if they are running late they will call to let you know. The sales people were very helpful when I upgraded my system. I have been using them for about 15 years and if you are a regular customer and your heating goes out they will put you on the top of the list.

Made appointment-had someone out in 2 days. During recent cold snap, furnace had been making a "funny" clunk - technician showed up, and unfortunately, condemned furnace because it was 15 years old. Went downstairs, looked at it, adjusted and replaced filter, and came back up and apologized for saying he didn't hold much hope for it based on its age. Said it was, in it's day, the top of the line Carrier high efficiency furnace, and it really seemed to be OK, with the exception of a pressure switch(s) that needed replacing. Clunk was bad humidifier. Made subsequent visit to replace humidifier and pressure switches. Dinged them one spot for professionalism, although he did redeem himself!

I was very impressed with the way that the workers of this company maintained everything in an orderly fashion. There were no messes left behind and they were very friendly. I would recommend them to other people just for that reason. They also did a great job on the work and have reasonable rates as well.

I looked around at a lot of different companies and had received many estimates. I have used this company in the past and they were a few dollars more then the others. I decided to use them because of the great dependable work that they do. I believe that you get what you pay for. I would also recommend this company to anyone.

We had a very good experience with this company and we have not had any problems with the new furnace. I thought they were courteous, polite and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again if I needed to.

It took them about a day to get the new air conditioner put in for us. It has worked just fine and I don't think there have been any problems with it. The man who came to our house was great about explaining everything he was doing and why.

Everything was done to perfection. These guys wasted no time in getting right to work when they arrived. They showed up right on time. They had the entire new furnace installed with no problems. They were quite the friendly pair. They were able to tastefully joke around and get the job done fast. They made sure the new system worked properly before they left. We even had a follow up call from their company to make sure everything went well.

The work that was done on my furnace was done very well. I would have to say that this company is trustworthy and dependable all the time. I have used them for other things and there have never been any problems. I would recommend their services to anyone.
