They were on time. The quality of their work was good. I will use them again in the future.

Obtained three quotes, Gross heating was very competitive in pricing , but was more thorough in the quotation and evaluation process. Work was done on schedule and the technicians were very professional in their work, they explained the operation of equipment and cleaned-up prior to leaving.

They told me that I had a system that was too small for my house after they measured the square footage of my house. They gave me several options for systems and different options like a hybrid heat pump or adding an air conditioner. Of all of the companies we looked at, Gross is the one we will probably go with because they were the most professional and they seemed the most knowledgeable. The information they gave us what confirmed by two other companies that we got quotes from. They were courteous and the proposal they gave me is clear and shows what the prices and rebates are.

They were timely and clean. They did a very good job and I have no complaints about them. The furnace wasn?t working eight or nine years ago and they had done a very good job then too. They were very efficient. They found that the cost of repair was actually reimbursable by the manufacturer of the furnace. As a result it cost me very little in the end even though they were here for a long time in the morning. They were good with everything.

It was the hottest week of the summer and my air conditioner would not cool below 80 degrees. Gross Heating was able to send someone out in two days - the first day I could take off work to be at home. The service technician was on time, polite and explained what he was doing and why. He was going to put in a dye canister to detect the leak, but when the freon was only down one pound he opted not to (saving me $200). The bill was $100 and the unit has been working fine since.

I received estimates from six contractors to replace my heating and air conditioning units. All of the contractors were from Angies List. I narrowed my choice to two contractors and decided on Gross Heating for the installation. The price of $7,180.00 will be offset by manufacturer and state rebates, and the 2009/10 federal energy credit which will result in a net price of $4,430.00. I considered the price to be very completive. It included a new thermostat, humidifier and the replacement of an existing air cleaner. The contractor also exchanged three unused air filters from my old air cleaner for three filters that fit the new air cleaner, plus they provided three filters for the humidifier, plus they included a one year check up and cleaning, plus they included a 10 year transferable warranty, all at no additional cost. The installation was very professional, efficient and cleanup was great. The whole job took about 6 hours. Every person on the job knew what to do and didn't take shortcuts. My wife and I were very happy with the installation.

They are very reliable. I have been using their service for more than 10 years. They do good work. Their professionalism lacked a bit because of their attitude. They kept complaining about the confined space.

Jeff, the sales consultant, showed up exactly on time and was very thorough in his analysis and recommendation. He took his time in listening to and answering my numerous questions. I had two additional quotes from places that also appeared to be knowledgeable and professional but decided on Gross based on price. Doug, the lead man on the job also showed up on time on the day scheduled with a portion of the crew and got started on taking out the old equipment. They phoned in dimensions to another crew member back at Gross who made up additional ductwork parts and then brought them over. Everyone had a specific job to do and did it. If there were optional ways of doing something or were slightly different than what I had initially requested, they went over the issues with me right away. I usually like to check every once in a while to see how things are going without hopefully being a pest and no one seemed to mind that. All of the crew were very helpful in explaining things to me and were interested in doing the job in the best way. Doug kept everyone organized and on schedule. It was easy to see that all the crew members were professional in their work and in doing the best job. I had been told that the installation would take one day and that's exactly what it took. Doug returned within a few days and replaced some louvered duct controls that they felt worked easier than the original ones. All in all, we are very satisfied with the installation and our new heating and cooling system.

The installation went as planned. I was especially pleased when the technician PROPERLY programmed the Infinity controller that was installed by a different contractor (Pat's Heating and A/C) who recently replaced the furnace. Since the system was installed in January, it could not be checked for proper operation and "start up", although it was pressurized with Puron. It became readily apparent that there was a Puron leak in the system (funny smell that would not go away) and a technician came back (with no hassle) and diagnosed the problem: leak in the evaporator coil. The system was evacuted and the smell went away. A few weeks later, on an unusually warm early Spring day, they brought a new evaporator coil and installed it. System was pressurized and tested. The bad smell did not return. We are all ready for summer!! It was unfortunate that the brand new system had a leak, but I understand how this can happen occasionally. I was very pleased with the way Gross Heating and A/C handled the entire job. Initial contact, discussion on how to do the job, selection of the system, estimates, installation and subsequent repair of the defect and follow-up, all were handled professionally and quickly. I bought a "medium high-end" Carrier system and Gross's price was $800 less than what Pat's Heating and A/C wanted to charge (even after I had just bought a furnace from Pat's).

It went well. The part alone was $300.00.

Perfect - I highly recommend them - will use them again when I can afford the new furnace and a/c.

The experience was good. It wasn't an emergency. They came out within a week of us calling and did everything they needed. We were pleased with them.

Everything was excellent! I called them up, we set up a time & he came to our house when he said he was going to. It took him only about an hour for him to do the work because he did have the parts available. He was very thorough, friendly & I thought the price was reasonable. I would give him an A grade all the way across the board & would use this company again in the future.

It was so-so. Part of the unit was outside, but because we have radiators we don't have a furnace with air ducts. The air ducts are actually in the attic. They had to put part of the air conditioner -- the blower unit or something -- up in the attic. They took the old one down and made some nicks in our hallway, in the hardwood floor and the door. The electrician that they had unplugged the fan in the bathroom, because it was not up to code, which was OK -- we're new homeowners, we didn't do it -- but nobody told us. So, all of a sudden we had a fan in the bathroom that didn't work, and when I questioned them about it somebody did come back to check into it and they said someone would be getting back to us to take care of it -- and nobody ever did. We did it with financing. I think the offer was six months financing, but they allowed us to do 12 months, which was very nice. We got several estimates and theirs was the lowest. The people were always very nice, but I would not use the company again.

They were very professional and the estimate was right on. There was no dickering. They were right on the spot when they said they would be and had the job finished when they said. Everything was working and I was very pleased. One of the reasons I joined Angie's List is to find a reputable heating company and they were on you're list.

I called them to clean to the furnace. I fixed a problem that needed to be fixed. He stated that all I needed was a new furnace. It wasn't bad service, he just didn't go the extra mile.

It was the positive comments that they had on Angie's List that made us hire this company. They were responsive. They did the work and were knowledgeable. The technician that they sent answered our questions. They called us before they arrived and arrived on time.

So far they have been excellent. I called them this morning and they were out within an hour. They were professional and informative. They are easy to work with.

They came to our home at midnight when this happened and we really appreciated. I have nothing but great things to say about them. They are a responsive, honest, professions and accommodating company.

My furnace stopped working early in the week (Monday or Tuesday). Gross didn't have any appointments available right away, and I was not free on Wednesday. We set up a Thursday morning appointment. When I called to confirm my appointment on Thursday morning, the office staff let me know that he was running a little late. He showed up a little later and got right to work. The service person corrected an electrical problem, and by 11:00 or so I had heat again. The service person was courteous and answered all my questions.

I have used them for years. They have been efficient. When I have needed any special work in the winter, they have been here. I have always had them give me a fall inspection of everything. They have been a good company, but now I am puzzled because the state codes have changed so it makes things difficult.

The previous owners of our house had used Gross for maintenance, so once we confirmed they had a good Angie's List grade, we called them for a checkup and cleaning. Service was good. My only complaint was punctuality. Gross gave us a window of time and say the service man would call when he was on his way. However, it took 30 minutes for him to arrive after he called saying he'd be here in 5. We were actually calling the office to check on him when he arrived.

Gross was prompt to respond to my call for an estimate and did a thorough job of explaining my options. They came when they said they would and did, and it appears they did a good job.

Furnace was nearly 20 years old and beginning to corrode and thus needed to be replaced. Gross gave us a quote with a couple different options based on the furnace type. After choosing which option we preferred, they were able to schedule installation within a week. The quality of the work was overall very good.

THEY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THEIR WORK. THEY HAVE COME BACK TO CHECKUP AND FIX THE SMALL PROBLEMS. HE WENT WAY OUT OF HIS WAY. HE WAS THE NICEST PERSON I THOUGHT. HE GAVE ME GOOD IDEAS. VERY HELPFUL.
