Probably the best remodeling experience I've ever had. Great responsiveness to all design work and change issues. Once the project started they were at my home every day until completion. Everything was well coordinated and I was kept informed of daily and future work progress. Very happy with everything. I will be calling Borth-Wilson for all my future plumbing needs.

From the time I let Don in my home and shut the door behind him when he was done, it took all of LITERALLY under 2 minutes. He took a few seconds to look in the bathroom, then took a few seconds to look under the basement where the plumbing lines were and basically said it couldn't be done. Mind you, this is his assessment in under 2 minutes when I've had plumbers like Rozga come out and spend nearly an hour to assess the situation and let me know that it could be done, but it was a tricky job. Sure, use Borth-Wilson if your toilet is clogged, but for anything else, I would never recommend them. That said, I will never use nor recommend them to anyone in my neighborhood. They don't care at all to look into your situation.

When I called originally and talked to the guy to get an estimate on how much it was to do it, he gave me an estimate over the phone. I told him about when it was. He put it down on his schedule. I was to call the day before they were supposed to come out here to confirm that the granite countertops were there. That did not happen. They changed it to the following Friday. They moved it from Tuesday to a Friday. What stood out the most was the ease of changing the schedule. That was appreciated. I wanted them here early and they came as early as they could. They said they would start at 8 and the guy was here about five minutes after 8. For the amount of time he was here, it was still pretty pricey. He had to supply some PVC pipe and do what plumbers do with plumbing and stuff - which is all magic to me. I still think for three hours of work, it was pretty expensive. To use them again, they're going to have to go up against some competition on an estimate.

Our plumber, Greg, came out today and replaced our gas water heater. He was on time and extremely professional and courteous. He was very knowledgeable and answered our questions completely and throughly. We have been very satisfied throughout the years with Borth-Wilson- we've used them on 4 prior occasions for other plumbing needs and they have always done quality work and are very pleasant to deal with. I would HIGHLY recommend them for plumbing needs and I plan on using them again in the future.

This company has been my go to guys for the last 12 years. Clogged drains,installing water heater and new fixtures, carpentry work, you name it, they can do it. When I call Borth- Wilson , they are at my home the same day. The staff is friendly and professional and clearly know what they are doing.

Thier work is excellent. The completely updated our main bath and had handicap features installed. We tried to save money and used a shower curtain for a while but called them back to finish the job with a shower door.

The service went fine. I had used them in the past and that is why I used them again. They were very professional. It was more costly than I thought, but the service was timely and they completed it correctly.

This is the third time we have used Borth and Wilson and we have been very satisfied with them each time which is why we have gone back to them time and again for our plumbing needs. The first time we had a clogged drain in our upstairs sink, the second time we had leakage from water heater valve, and today the plumber, Greg, came out to fix our sewage overflow in our floor drain. Each time we have had a different plumber but they have ALL been extremely professional, courteous, on time, and informative. Every time they have resolved/fixed our plumbing issue and they are realistic with time estimates for the job to be completed. Our sewage overflow occurred over the weekend and we had plans to go out of town. The on-call employee, Mary, responded in a timely manner and provided us with information on how to handle and manage the situation so that we could go out of town as planned and have the plumber come on Monday to fix the issue. Very pleased with Borth and Wilson and would highly recommend them!

Excellent - designer was very helpful in choosing tile / floor / counter top. Work was done in a professional manner and work area was cleaned up every night.

We liked working with Borth-Wilson Plumbing and Remodeling. Our water heater went out and needed to be replaced. The company discussed various options with us, and we decided to install a tankless water heater. Because the unit needed to be ordered, the plumber even came out and tried to get our old water heater up and running. (Unfortunately, it was too far gone.) This was done at no charge to us. After the new tank was installed, our shower didn't seem to have much water pressure. Again, someone came out right away to fix the problem at no cost to us.

Great! Originally gave a quote for counter top and install plus everything else. We decided to install that ourselves. No problem for them. Don Wilson was very nice. We call them for all our plumbing.

Was told 10am-12pm on the phone, plumber arrived slightly before 10, awesome! Overall the cost was great, as the water heater and install was covered by the home warranty company. The home warranty company also gave us a $50 certificate for our first call, so the replacement was only $35 instead of the standard $85. I do not remember the installers name, but he was very nice. My only complaint was having to clean up afterwards, but can't complain too much for the price! Nice to have hot water and a dry basement again :)

Borth-Wilson was very responsive. I filled out a request for an estimate online and I received a phone call back on the same day. She was able to give me an approximate cost over the phone, but still wanted to send someone over to my house to give a better estimate. Don Wilson was able to come out that same afternoon. He told me that they would be able to do the work and that it would come in under the cost of what was quoted to me over the phone. I decided to hire them and they were able to schedule the work for two business days later. The day of the appointment, the plumber was on time and completed the work in a very short time. He did a good job and cleaned up the work site very thoroughly, which scores a lot of points with me when I hire contractors. As a whole, everyone I dealt with from Borth-Wilson was very friendly, and I would hire them again.

The service was excellent. They communicated very well and always showed up on time. Everyone was very pleasant and professional. The bathroom looks beautiful.

This was the second time that Greg came out to our house for repairs. He's super! Does a great job of explaining the issue to you and gets right down to work. The job site is always cleaned up afterwards. On his way out today, he thanked me for calling Borth-Wilson for the repairs. I thought that was great - loves what he does and loves the company he works for. I'll definitely be calling on Borth-Wilson again!

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a contractor. After I paid in full I was shocked to learn Borth-Wilson had lied to me about pulling the required permits for plumbing and electrical work. I only found this out by calling the municipal offices. I had become suspicious when I made a written request for a copy of the permit for my record and Borth-Wilson ignored my request. The City of Glendale confirmed the required permits were NOT, contrary to what I was assured, ever requested. When I confronted the company they 1) ridiculed me and 2) pulled the permits after the work was completed, but led the city to believe that the work was just starting. As a consequence, the municipality made me sign a letter of indemnity because the required rough inspection could not happen. I contacted Consumer Protection in the WI Dept. of Agriculture. The Bureau of Consumer Protection issued Borth-Wilson an official warning,dated Jan. 27, 2011, citing the state codes they violated. Mr. Wilson rebuffed my request for an explanation of why the required permits were never pulled. Furthermore, the opening to the shower stall was not well constructed – There is a nearly 3/4* wide strip of grout along one side and the bottom of the stall. Mr. Wilson agreed to repair it, and even issue a credit (which I never got), but by then I was so exhausted by their dishonesty and uncooperative attitude, I gave up trying to deal with them. Once I learned they lied repeatedly and cut corners, I didn’t trust them in the house while I wasn’t present, nor was I free to take more time away from work. The person who laid the tile inside the shower did beautiful work. However, the company was incredibly unprofessional. Our municipal inspector's office said they were amazed that an established company like Borth-Wilson had behaved like this.

Quote: Salesman described process and his recommendations at my house (had a secretary take notes). This was my first time working with a major remodel, he helped walk me thru the process. Door way would be installed, reusing and existing door, plus a small wall built in hall way. He also suggested a 3 way fan/light/heater unit and glass block windows with vents. I agreed with these suggestions. To my surprise: 1. install did not include a toilet (who installs a bathroom without one?) 2. they did not finish the door frame, there were large nails and rough edges...just a frame 3. The edge/lips of the new sink were bent with sharp edges 4. Door latch looked like some one used a skrew driver to gouge out a hole in the wood frame. 5. Concrete on floor left uneven (shower water does not run into drain, the shower drain is where the access was created) 6. Gaps around door frame allowed anyone to see into the bathroom. 7. Started to install wrong windows(w/o vents) and light/fan/heater (missing heater) unit (I was home and questioned the workmen) 8. No caulikng around sink (water could run down both sides) Upon completion, I was shocked! I did not even have a toilet! I had them back several times to discuss, they were quite unprofessional, comments were made about my and quot;ability to read a contractand quot;. I contacted NARI and had assistance in dealing with the problems. In the end they agreed to fix the work as discussed, except for the concrete floor, if I promised not to and quot;badmouthand quot; them. I hired a contractor to guide me thru the process with honesty and high quality work. The lack of professionalism, the way I was treated and the quality of the work does not earn my business back. I think they took advantage of my situation and lack of knowledge when it comes to plumbing.

They were on time every day. Neat and clean. Kept us informed of what they were doing. Made useful suggestions. Completed the job on time.

Project took a few days to complete as quoted. Proposal was accepted on Aug 7 with 50% deposit and work started around the 10th of October. I was pleased that everything was completed as quoted including a couple of items that were a little more complicated than expected. Borth-Wilson was able to do all plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work. Everything was picked up and clean when finished. I would recommend Borth-Wilson for any plumbing project.

Overall the job went very well, no surprise price increases at all. What they quoted is what i paid but they were flexible to add things if i desired. The crew arrived at the scheduled time and always cleaned up after the days work. I really have no complaints. If i had questions or needed to contact the contractor it was very easy and they were always available for questions.
