Description of Work: They replaced an existing bathtub liner with a new one. The process went very smoothly from the initial meeting with the sales representative to the subsequent steps with the installers to measure, remove and replace the old liner. Each appointment in the process was verified with a phone call in advance and in each case of the sales and workers arrived on time if not slightly early. The cost was below two other proposals and so far the quality of work looks very good.

Description of Work: Tony the salesman came our house and did a convincing job of explaining his product. We chose to go with Bathfitters based on the one piece surround and general appearance of the product. Installation was done about two weeks later. The installer did an excellent job of installing the liner and surround. Since we had elected to retain our existing Moen faucet, the installer felt he had to use an extension tube to space the valve handle out from the wall. My wife took exception to the appearance. After calling Bathfitter, they sent out Ralph their installation facilitator who was able to resolve the problem to our satisfaction. As others have noted, the company offers price inducements for purchasing the installation on the day of presentation but lesser rebates if you choose to wait. They did offer an additional option for $500 of replacing the existing shower valve but since ours had been replaced and was still working satisfactorily, we elected to save on this part of the cost. Note that when you do this, the warranty only covers the work actually done by Bathfitters, i.e. only the tub liner and surround are covered. If we had elected to have them install a new valve, the warranty would have covered that as well. (The Bathfitter warranty is not transferable and covers the original homeowner.) So far we have been pleased with the work done, would have preferred to spend less money, and were satisfied with how they handled our complaint. FWIW, the installer did a good job of cleaning up after himself.

Description of Work: Installed a new tub surround. It looks good but when I was asked if I wanted the edge to be covered to the floor, I said yes and that I would remove the corner base moulding. The installer said he would take care of it. I didn't want to watch over him and later found that it wasn't removed but covered over. At the current time I'm going to install a new floor and removing it now is going to be a bit more trouble. It looks good but I think overpriced.

Description of Work: Took out old tub and tub surround. Replaced surround, put in bigger tub and new fixtures and pipes. They were quick really good at what they do and totally cleaned up before they left. Polite,knowledgeable and really easy to work with.

+ -1 moreThe estimator (Dennis) was very polite and helped me choose what I wanted. Every other company that I got estimates from told me what I had to do instead of letting me decide. Three weeks after I placed my order the installer (Allan ) did a wonderfull job and was very nice and profecional. After 8 hours of work my bathroom was competed and I couldn't be happier. I would recommend Dennis, Allan and Bath Fitter for anyone whom wants an easy to clean and gorgous bathroom.
Description of Work: Bath Fitter removed my cracked fiberglass bath tub and replaced it with a acrylic soaker tub and installed a seamless wall surrowened and covered my ceiling. They also installed new Moen fixtures.

+ -1 moreWe have a house built in 1926 so nothing is installed quite right and that included our bathtub spout being about a foot lower than it was supposed to be. Baths were not an option!! So we called up Bath Fitter's so the work would get done in one day since we only have one bathroom. It took about 3 hours longer than anyone expected partly because they brought the wrong sized tub and partly because our home is old and has many challenges when it comes to home improvement. The guys who did the work were very nice and made an effort to not track in a lot of dirt into our home which I appreciated. The plumbing had to be completely redone and that was done well. The tub liner and wall looks nice and very clean. A huge improvement over what it was before. My only negative thing is the cost of it all. I realize it is the convenience factor, which is why we chose to go this route but $3600 seems pricey for what the material actually is that they use. It's really then and flimsy. The plumbing work that had to be done did make it somewhat more worthwhile though. It has a lifetime warranty as long as you clean it properly with their approved cleaners, which is about 80, so no worries there. I hope if anything comes up over the next couple of years they do honor that warranty.Overall, i do like how it looks, but the before picture was so horrible so I'm pretty easy to please on that end. A good company, just a little pricey.

+ -1 moreDespite the television commercial, it took two days, and had to wait 24 hours before you could use the shower/bathtub. I got an estimate for the work and time frame for the work to be done. The guys were professional and stuck with the company sales speech word for word. The representative informed me that it would take two days, because they had to subcontract a master plumber to install the shower fittings. I was also advised that it would be cheaper if I removed the tiles around the tub to save money. I made the appointment for the work a month later, which required a down payment, and final payment upon completion of the work. The master plumber was on time and the work went rather fast. The installation of the surrounding was done during one of our snow storms. I was impressed that they still kept the appointment. The work took over eight hours. At the end, I was informed to let everything set for a day or two. I was disappointed on several accounts. The unit was vacant at the time the work was done. The workers felt free to use my shop vac leaving it dirty. I also had to do clean the place because there was shaving from the lining everywhere in the house. I was disappointed because I had to hire a plumber to clean out the trap, where more fiberglass bit was found clogging the drain. I also had to repair the drywall where the sink was attached due to damage from the work.

+ -1 moreThey had a salesman come and take measurements of my bathtub. He took a considerable amount of time looking at everything. I would have thought the salesman would have realized that one of the walls would have to be replaced before he could do the work. He ended up sending people out to do the work and five minutes into the job, they said that the wall would have to be replaced before they could do the work. So, I basically was in a rush to find a carpenter to do the wall work before Bath Fitters could do the lining for my bathtub. I was, basically, frustrated that the salesman did not say anything about the wall to me until the workers came and they said something.
Description of Work: Bath Fitter did an acrylic bath overlay to my bathtub.

+ -1 moreThey came in a did their work, and we were pleased with the way it looked. It is easy to take care of, and they did a good job telling us how to clean it and take care of it without damaging it. It really improved the look of the bathroom, it was a big improvement, overall. The only you didn't like was they way they had put in the switch plate; it was crooked. We have recently been noticing some mildew on some of the caulk they had put in because the caulk had become loose. It is covered under warranty, so they'll fix it next week. I wish they could come sooner, but can't complain too much.

However, the floor drain is now slightly elevated with respect to the floor, resulting in slight puddles adjacent to the drain. Also, the threshold (stepover beneath the door) is level, or tips slightly to the outside rather than to the inside, which would be desirable for better drainage of water from the threshold.

They worked through their lunch hour and later in the evening to have the job complete that day. I would use them again and would highly recommend them to who ever was looking to do this.

Cleaned up after self, worked hard and kept things tidy as he was working. Did an excellent job of installation and answered all our questions that we had. I am very pleased with the results.

I was not certain whether I would do our walls and the tub at the same time, he was not pushy when I decided not to do the walls. the tub was ready for installation sooner that promised and the installer was able to remove the existing porcelain soapdish without breaking it in order to install the liner.
