Description of Work: I bought the special promo for unlimited ducts and returns for $299 (as long as your home is <2400 sq ft. The two guys arrived on time, were cordial, respectful of the home, and did a nice job or protecting the home from the giant (about 10" diameter) hose as it snaked it's way from the front door down to the basement. Our home is ~40 years old and had never had the vents cleaned before, so we were interested in what they would find. Basically just dust and some chunks of drywall was all they found in the vents and returns. They also treated the ducts with an aerosol injected into the HVAC system at the plenum on top of the furnace to prohibit and bacterial or mold growth. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Cleaned air ducts. Went well. We had purchased approx 6 new vents so when they took off the old all they had to do was screw on the new instead and I'd say they did a lame job at that. Some of the new they screwed on they used the old screws, and handed us the new screws. So we have brand new white vents with old nasty unpainted screws in them. If you had the time to hand us the new ones then why not just use them? Also they scratched the painted wall pretty bad with one of them in our laundry room and bent some of the new vents by tightening them too much on one side when screwing them in. It's a 10 second job so I wouldve thought a little more care could've gone into the vent work since we have to stare at them everyday. | |They found "suspect mold" (12 yr old house, have had energy audit and have been giving A+ ratings on the construction of our home) they offered to clean it for an additional $100, I believe. They can't confirm what it is so you're basically paying for something that could be nothing or could be something. We had purchased the "big deal" through Angie's list but after paying the extra $100 we were back at a $500+ service. I felt they were very honest in telling us that we won't need another cleaning for many many years. I think he even said probably 8-10 years.

I would recommend Air Quality Controllers for anyone looking to have their ducts cleaned. After a few days, we can really notice the improvement of the quality of air in our home.
