I definitely recommend this company, but there are a few things I wish I'd known about air duct cleaning upfront. I did a lot of research on air duct cleaning and got multiple referrals for this company, so I definitely knew what to expect. Overall, we are very happy with their service. They were very professional and easy to work with. They were very knowledgeable, patient with all my questions and 95% thorough on the phone upfront. They worked around my kids napping schedule. And the service people were great on all fronts. We've also noticed a huge difference since the duct cleaning. Previously my father and niece couldn't be in our house for more than 5 minutes before their cat dander allergies started acting up (despite that we'd gotten rid of the cat and thoroughly cleaned te house.) After the duct cleaning, they were able to stay with us for 4 days with no problems. We've also noticed a drastic change in how frequently I need to dust. I used to dust daily and our dark wood shoed everything. Now, if I want to... I can go for weeks without dusting and you can't tell... the difference is shocking (in a great way.) My only complaints about our experience are: 1- Initially I wasn't thrilled that after the dryer vent cleaning, their plan was to leave all the excess lint (and there was A LOT) in the window well. They said it would disintegrate over time. To their credit, they could tell I didn't love this solution so the service person did volunteer to clean out the window well and he did a solid job, so that was good. 2- This may seem obvious, but I had no idea just how many little holes they'd drill ALL over our entire basement (apparently we have more bends in our ducts than most people) and that every time they drilled a hole little tiny shards of scrap metal would be left on the floor. Despite that they did vacuum up after themselves, I found tons of tiny sharp pieces of metal ALL over. This was a huge pain for us because not only do we not wear shoes in our house (so pieces of metal would get stuck to my feet), but two of the four basement rooms we have are playrooms and two babies crawl all over them every day. I didn't discover this problem until 10 p.m. that night, so I was up till 2 a.m. trying to clean up all the metal pieces. I did a thorough job, but still today, months later I occassionally find metal pieces stuck in the carpet (or in toys bins). I primarily wish I'd been forewarned about this so that I could've been mentally prepared and preplanned my 4 hour clean up job... Related to this one, they also drilled holes in a closet in the basement and I didn't expect that. Had I known that was the plan, I would've removed a stack of tablecloths from the closet first. Since I didn't know to do that, they got disgustingly dirty chunks of debris all over them. Again, if I had just been forewarned. (I think service reps should always do a "walk through" of the home with you first, but usually no one ever does, so I'll ask for this first next time.) 3- A few weeks after our duct cleaning, our air conditioner started leaking in the basement. As it turned out, the duct cleaning caused chunks of debris to clog up the valve so the water couldn't get to the hose to drain properly. It was a simple fix for the serviceman to clean out that valve and I can do it now if it happens in the future, but it did cost us a service call charge. So, again, overall, I highly recommend this company and air duct cleaning in general. I just wish I'd been forewarned about some of the potential inconveniences. I would say my experience would've been PERFECT if only: 1) In the initial consultative phone call, I'd been warned about the metal shards, and 2) if the reps had also forewarned me about where the holes would be drilled and what I might want to move in advance and of course about the air conditioner valve (though maybe they don't know about that. The HVAC guy said it's common though.)

The cleaning team arrived on time and did the work in a reasonable time. There was extra work because this was a first time cleaning requiring access holes to be drilled in various locations along the duct work. A basement window was opened to provide for equipment access. While this duct cleaning was a scheduled appointment, the other services were requested and purchased at the time of service. The cleaning team was courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Our house is a lot less dusty. We no longer smell burning dust from the furnace. However, the furnace sound is a bit louder through the duct work as 56 years of dust accumulation no longer dampens its sound. Their prices appear to be very reasonable. The total was less than half that of a quote that I received from a heating and air conditioning service. Perhaps that is because this business specializes in duct cleaning services and is not a general heating and air conditioning service. We received duct cleaning of our 1100 square foot house for $279 Angie List Big Deal special offer price, furnace blower cleaning for $120 , and air conditioner coil cleaning for $80 plus sales tax. The prices for the furnace blower and air conditioner coil cleaning were at the bottom of their regular price range listed on the receipt. These prices were much lower than a heating and air conditioning service quoted for our size house a few months earlier. That competitor quoted $649 for the duct cleaning, $198 for the furnace blower cleaning,and $264 for the air conditioner coil cleaning ($1111 for all three services).

I live in a 75 year old house and was feeling like the air quality was poor and that there was a lot of dust in the air and on my furniture. I called and inquired about how I would know if the vents had been cleaned in the past. I was told that I should look for black plug-like things on the trunks in the basement. I did not see those, so I assumed they had never been cleaned. I called and got an appointment two days later. The guys showed up a bit late (about 20min) because it was raining and they got stuck in traffic. Also, one of their machines broke down which set them back about 30min and someone had to bring them new parts. So, thus why I rate them a 'B' for punctuality. They were professional and worked quickly. I am very pleased I had the vents cleaned as they showed me pictures and it really appeared they were filthy. I immediately noticed an improved air quality in my home and less dust. Also, it was noticeably different in the temperature in my home as the cleaner vents made a difference in how much air flow came through the vents. I would use this company again. Very pleased and satisfied with their service.

They came and explained what they were going to do. They were very professional and prompt. The service took about 7 hours with all the work they did. My allergies and my children's allergies were very bad this summer. After the duct cleaning, I saw a noticeable improvement in our allergies! They cleaned up after themselves and I was very happy with their service.

I was really really pleased with my whole experience with Air Quality Controllers. I was sort of leery of hiring someone but knew my house badly needed the ducts cleaned because I'd never had it done since I lived there, and didn't know if the previous owners ever did. So when I called to potentially schedule, the guy explained the whole procedure from the outset and the way they do it made a lot of sense. Plus they don't charge by how many ducts or vents, the price was based on the size of the house, so right away I could get a price, which then was exactly what was charged. So no guessing. The 2 guys who came for the job were on time, very nice, answered all my questions as it went along, and were very considerate of my home. All the ducts, air vents and cold air returns were opened and cleaned. All the dust and junk from the ducts got sucked up in one central hose from the basement. I saw the before and after photos and DEFINITELY a huge difference. And I can notice a huge difference in my house now as it's much less dusty and the air just feels cleaner. I will use them again when the time comes.

They were beyond excellent. They were more than helpful. After they cleaned the ducts, my air conditioners wouldn’t work. It turned out that it was the compressors and not related to the air duct cleaning at all. When I called him, he walked me through all these steps to get the air working again, even though it was nothing he did. I felt really bad about thinking that he was the reason why the units stopped working. I bought the coupon for one unit and it was $100 more for the other unit; they didn’t double the fee for the second unit. They relied, they accepted the coupon, and they came out and set up. They came out on time and they finished on time. They took out all the registers and put them back without scratching the floors; I had just had the floors refinished. They cleaned up after themselves and they did a very good job. I absolutely would use them again.

They did a good job, very organized and clean. Overall, they are excellent.

They were in and out just less than 3 hours. House was 2500 sq ft. Justin and Tim were very nice. Cleaned up well afterward. Recommend their service.

Everything was perfect as I expected

They came on time, they were professional, they did the job and left. It was a deal on Angie's List so it was a good deal. They did a good job for me and got the job done on time.

2 guys came out, they were very professional & explained everything. I would use them again....unfortunately the reason I called was because of my dust levels....haven't seen a decrease:(

It went great. The price was a little bit lower than the estimate because they threw in an extra coupon for us. They arrived on time, we're very clean and professional and got the job done between 8:45 and noon. We can already notice that the air feels cleaner in our house.

Not much to say except it was a very pleasant and easy experience. Having your heating ducts cleaned is not the most exciting project, but it all went very smoothly from initial contact to finishing the job. They were quick to service our house and were very thorough doing the job. I would use them again.

The servicemen showed up early, but were willing to wait if necessary. They quickly got set-up and performed to air duct cleaning. Though I was working from home, they did not disturb me unnecessarily, but did keep me appriased of what they found and any suggestions for additional performance. They were very clean and very professional throughout the visit.

Joe called to let me know they were early and was that ok once here they went about their work very efficiently and were done in about 2 hrs.

I got them off Angie’s list. They were on time. They came and did what they had to. They were informative. They took pictures before and after. They even changed the vent of my furnace which they dint have to do. That was very nice of the. They were concerned about dirtying my floors. They put shoes on thought I asked them not to worry about it. They were just very good. I rate them high overall.

What a great company with a great service. if you have ever thought about having this type of work done this is the company to call. You will definitely notice a difference in how your house smells once they complete their work. I was lucky enough to have two fantastic technicians, John and Anthony who were excellent. It is really an interesting process and they take pictures so if you want to see how gross it was in your duct work they can show you. They were on time and quickly got to work and were terrific at showing me the process as well as suggesting some extra cleaning that made a big difference in how well the project turned out. If you have unusual size filters in your furnace they can help you out with those too and at a great price. This is the company you want to call for duct cleaning, I was very, very happy with the work that John & Anthony provided at my duplex.

It was an excellent experience. Two very polite and punctual men arrived. They explained very thoroughly what they were going to do with the job. They recommended one additional piece of work by cleaning the condensor that was filled with mold and they did it right then and there. They spent approximently three and a half hours doing the work. They explained all of the work they were doing and took photos before and after the work was done so that we could see the progress they made on the job. When they were finished, the job was very reasonably priced and we were very happy with them.

Arrived on time. Worked rapidly to clear clogged duct from dryer. Cleaned up well. Were very friendly and nice to work with. Dryer now working fine. Would definitely recommend them.$

They called to let me know they might arrive a bit outside their scheduled start time due to additional work at previous call. The service discovered items in vents left behind by another service. Offered additional treatment to prevent mold growth.

They did a good job. They were fine and prompt. They were comprehensive. They did good recommendations and did good work. The only problem with the whole thing was that a small pane of glass was dropped when they ran one of the vents through the window and it broke so they gave us a discount on the price to replace the pane of glass.

The entire process was very professional from the quote to the completion of the service. Justin and Travis were great to work with and kept me apprised as to what they were doing. They suggested we have the air conditioner evaporator coils cleaned as an additional service, but did not push when i said no. We would definitely use them again..
