GREAT!!! We had just received and accepted an offer on our old house. During the inspection, the inspector found the damage in our attic - we had no idea. It consisted of some cracked beams - mainly the peak beam at the top of our roof. We went through approx 15 estimates - all of them wanting to remove the entire roof and replace everything - ranging from $9500 to $12,500. Not what you want to hear on a house you just sold. Cameron Kappl, Kappl Construction came in and said he could tear off part of the roof and replace the cracked beams - coming in at $4900. We had to hire a structural engineer to provide Cameron with the calculations on where to support the beam. Unfortunately, the sale of our house fell through a few days after receiving the estimate (for other reasons, not related to the house). Luckily, another buyer came along (two days later) and requested that we only 'reinforce the existing beams'. We had not yet started work due to having a hard time finding a structural engineer. Once we found the engineer, Cameron worked one-on-one with him to make corrections and get a full understanding of the work required. Based on the need to only 'reinforce the existing beams' - the revised estimate came in at $1700. We were ecstatic. None of the other roofers were willing to look at our roof as a smaller project - they only wanted the whole job. Cameron started work the next day (Saturday) and completed the job on Sunday. He was a pleasure to work with, took additional time with the Engineer to ensure they were in agreement and promptly returned calls. We were not an easy customer, due to the constant changes in our buyer and the problems with the Engineer - but Cameron stuck with us and really helped us get the project done in time to close on our house.
Description of Work: Repaired roof structural damage that occurred due to heavy snow in the winter of 2007-2008.
