I wished they could have provided an estimate. I loved the stone work they did on the fire place. But who ever runs the construction portion on the business is failing big time. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and called multiple time. I keep getting excuse after excuse??? When it came down to it I never received my quote and they lost all future business.
Description of Work: Construction personnel arrived on time and I requested an estimate for a new pergola.

I contacted this company because I was referred by my neighbor. Their patio work was done by Extreme Exteriors and it looks fantastic, appears to be good quality work. They’re very happy with it and use it daily. I contacted Jamon at Extreme Exteriors, he was initially very responsive. We set up an appointment for a free consultation. He seemed to understand what we were looking for and said he would follow up with some quotes and design ideas shortly. He did tell me thy were quite busy and this work would possibly have to wait until early spring. I thought it would be worth the wait based on the job they did for the neighbor. After a month I left a message asking how long I could expect to wait, no response. Several phone messages and emails and months later, nothing. It appears they do good work, or at least they did, but I wish he would have been honest and said they couldn’t take on any more work.

We hired Greg Peterson to build a deck above our walkout basement last April. The job went all right, Greg was not here during construction. After I made the payment I asked about if they have any warranty, they never gave me any sort of warranty document. A couple of months later, I got a call from Greg, asking if I can do a good review on AngiesList, I said sure but decided to take a closer look at their work. That's when I noticed there are some cracks in the supporting beams. I called Greg, he did come out to take a look, and said it's just lumber dry out result, and we decided to wait and see. Late fall, I noticed the crack is getting wider, trying to call Greg, then it became hard to get hold of him. Called him many times, one time got through, he said he was going to come out to take a look, never did. After the winter, the gap just getting bigger, some section you can put in two quarters ( I included a couple of pictures), I called Greg again many times, just could get through. One time I did get through, he said he needs to "get back to desk" to take a look at schedule then call me back. Of course he didn't. My thought is at first they appeared as honest professional people, but they are not. They don't know their craft and if there is an issue, what do they care, they got your money. Go with other professionals hopefully you have better luck then us.

The company did not complete the work and also caused so much additional damage to my home that also has not been fixed. I have exposed nails on the siding that should not been seen. I signed a contract in May 2016 and as of today Feb 2017 the job is still not complete. I now have interior damage to my home because I was without siding on the home for months exposed to the elements. (drywall, hardwood flooring, concrete basement floor) Exterior damage ( extensive grading issues, broke all exterior lights, smashed window screens, broken brick on homes exterior, poor gutter installation) The workmanship is extremely poor and is not taking responsibility to fix and complete the job.

work performed at Mr. [Member Name Removed]' s was actually inspected by the regional rep for the siding manufacturer and said it looked great. Mr. [Member Name Removed] has greatly exaggerated the damage to his home. we went back and tried to accommodate Mr. [Member Name Removed] and determined there was no pleasing him. he still owes a balance of $14,000.00 and refuses to pay. this was already resolved with BBB and they closed the case.

Greg was wonderful to work with. He offered us options (that we would never have thought of) as far as materials used to build the deck. We decided on a combination of composite, aluminum spindles and cedar.....the deck is beautiful! His crew was very professional and great to work with as well. They picked up the work site EVERYDAY. Greg also accommodated the time frame for which we had to have the deck built. I highly recommend them!

Description of Work: New patio area and complete landscaping in back yard.
We contacted several contractors to interview to compare ideas and?estimates on a variety of exterior work for our lake home.? This work consisted of walkway, patio, and driveway parking hardscape and paver work as well as replacing and expanding a lakeside deck.? We found Extreme Exteriors through Angie's List and after Jamon stopped by the house to listen to and discuss our objectives and goals for?this?work, it quickly became clear that he was very knowledgeable, experienced, as well as customer and job quality focused.??Jamon presented some very competitive estimates for the work, but it really was more?about the level of comfort we had with his understanding and insight into what we wanted as customers.? He also was great at presenting?various?options and?ideas relating to cost, appearance, durability, etc. as the project work progressed.??Dan, who was foreman for much of the work, was always focused on doing the best job possible and managed the work to get it done right and on time.??He was?quick to correct anything that was missed or didn't achieve his high quality standards.?Most of this work was very labor-intensive and the?work crews were always fully engaged and moving forward to achieve the goal of completing the project.??Jamon and Extreme Exteriors was fantastic as a contractor / service provider and we look forward to continuing our relationship in 2015 for additional project work.? Beyond the quality of product and timely delivery was?total satisfaction with the design and beauty of the work. Be sure to schedule desired work as early as possible, since there are many customers standing in line that quickly fill the work calendar.? We strongly recommend Extreme Exteriors Inc. to anyone interested in receiving quality, expert work for a competitive price.

We knew we wanted a large patio and contacted Extreme Exteriors after seeing photos of their work online. ?Jamon came to the house, listened to our thoughts and returned a week or so later with a plan for a two tiered patio that surpassed our expectations. Once the work started the team was there early every day and worked diligently to make sure that the job was complete in time for a party we had planned. ?Throughout the process the attention to detail and pride of workmanship was so very evident and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. ?We live on a bay on the Fox River/Tichigan and have had numerous boats stop to look at the patio and tell us how beautiful it is. ? Jamon was fabulous to work with from day one and continues to follow up to make sure that everything is fine. ?I would definitely use Extreme Exteriors again and very much recommend this firm.

Through the 90 and 100 degree heat the crew worked constantly. Jamon promised me and quot;attention to detailand quot; and we got it and then some. The project wasn't the most complicated, but the design required precision and the crew made it look easy. Jamon is a pretty creative guy. We laid out what we wanted to accomplish with the pergola and what we thought it should look like and he produced a unique design that is the hit of the neighborhood. He and I worked closely on a lighting scheme that provides ambience at night that keeps us us using the patio constantly. His crew cleaned up every day before leaving. They showed up early and worked late. They were courteous, friendly and accomodating. We had minimal changes and each one was met with and quot;whatever you want!and quot; along with consultation. His pricing for the changes was fair and his responses were quick. We've had the patio for a bit more than a month. No major problems. A couple of little things that Jamon has already started to rectify (small problem emerged with a few pavers.) Get your three quotes, but go with Jamon.
Description of Work: Jamon and his crew removed a concrete patio and replaced it with a beautiful 700 sq. ft. paver patio, seat wall, raised planter bed and pergola. They also provided new planting beds, plants, trees and mulch and restored the grass.

We have worked with Greg on a few other projects at our house. We trust Greg without question. He has great people working for him and I like that he has a lot of his family involved in the business. One of the other projects Greg and crew did for us was a complete remodel of our kitchen last year! Greg has a gentleman named Mark that worked with him on the kitchen and I have never seen such a hard worker and craftsman as Mark! It is everything we could want and was a great experience! We started planning this deck in the spring. Greg gave us some choices for product and sent us to his supplier so we could see the textures and product detail. He completed the design and submitted it to the city for approval. Once we had the city approval we moved forward pretty quickly and Greg had a large crew to begin the construction. It is beautiful and we love everything about it! We have had a number of people stop by and ask for the company name and number! Everyone loves it!
Description of Work: Greg and crew built a new deck for us. Greg recommended the Azek product and we are very pleased with the appearance and low maintenance of the product. We had some challenges because of the grade of our back yard. Greg and crew were very helpful with information so we could make informed decisions about the deck and lighting . All of the crew was helpful and very polite. Greg worked with the city to get the correct building permit and coordinated the inspections. Everything was done exactly as expected.

Greg and his team were great to work with. We told him that we wanted the deck completed by the end of May and he made sure to accomodate our timing. We also weren't sure what we wanted for some components of the deck (e.g. landing onto the driveway vs. steps, square balasters vs. round) and Greg went out of his way to mock up options for us to look at.The finished product is excellent - many neighbors have stopped over to see it and commented on how beautiful it ilooks.

Excellent excellent excellent. Jamon and Greg Peterson treated this project like it was for their own home. They listened to our needs for creating an outside living space that would compliment a new additiona that we put on last year. The yard was a mess from the prior contractor and the landscaping needed to be updated. Our goal was a seamless experience between our new garden room and the yard. Extreme Exteriors brought in a landscape architech who understood our vision and drew the plans. Jamon and his dad then began the project in June of 2011. I have dealt with many contractors but none as customer focused as Extreme Exteriors. They knew better than I did what I wanted. Their quality and attention to detail is phenominal. They always left the work space in spotless condition. My friends and family are blown away by our new outdoor room. It is truly our get away - our most favorite place to be. I can not say enough good things about Extreme Exteriors except that they deliver Extreme Happiness!!!

I had already kinda decided who I was going to use. But someone brought Greg Peterson, head of Extreme Exteriors, over here to ask if he could do a bid on the windows and doors. I saw all of his information and picked him. They recommended I get fully-coated steel doors with wood cores. I did that. I went and looked at them. Greg took me to the supplier. I am very unhappy with the doors. The steel radiates the cold because it is steel all around. You can feel it when you walk by the doors. We told Greg this. We are having a lot of trouble with a back window. Greg told me to call the window company. I have done that twice and left messages and they have not contacted me. They also never reinstalled the door bells. Greg sent his son to reinstall it. He came when it was pouring down rain. He worked on it and finally gave up because he could not get it to work. They have not come back to finish that. They put gutters and gutter covers on. Last year I had problems with the gutters dripping. He came back in the spring and said they were the gutter covers. He took them off and said I would get along better without the gutter covers. He did not put anything at the bottom to hold the gutters on to the side of the house and they are constantly blowing off. I had expected better. He really wanted this job. He fell off a ladder in the middle of the summer so he wasn't here when they started work. We had a lot of problems. They did come out and fix most of the windows but we are still having problems with the one back window. We would like for that window to be open. The gutters still do a quite a bit of overflowing in the back. They also put on a new front porch. It is great but not exactly what I wanted. They were not able to put new posts in and left the old ones rusty and crummy. I have had them primed and about to get them painted. I did talk to Greg last summer about the doors. I told him to not recommend them again to anyone because they radiate the cold. They suggested to not get the ones with wood trim because they would warp, but I had them before and they did not warp. But I chose what they recommended as the best and now it is really too bad. I would still hire them but I would be more careful as to what they were directing me to purchase. I was busy when I first started fixing everything up and had I not been so busy I think I would have caught more of these issues. I felt he passed the buck on us a bit. I know he got a huge contract for someone else while working on our job. But he was punctual and professional. I had to bend a little after he fell off the ladder.

I chose Greg because Mark knew him quite well and I trust Mark implicitly. I went to Prolite, Greg's Supplier, and I liked everything they showed me. I went with the steel wrapped exterior doors after talking with all 3 contractors. This I regret because every time I walked past a door all winter I could feel the cold. It wasn't drafts, it was the metal wrap conducting all the cold right inside. I would not buy a all wrapped door again. We had quite a bit of difficulty with the rear Storm door. Greg finally called ProLite and they stood behind it and got it fixed to my satisfaction. The old house looks brand new with the new windows, doors, and shutters. Extreme Exteriors then started on the porch. I told them what I envisioned and Mark translated for me. They did not however, cover the old posts that they decided to keep with aluminum as I thought they would. So Those are not going to be maintenance free as is the rest(We used AZEK). They now need to have the old holes filled, then primed and then painted. They also didn't take the AZEK material all the way to the ground. I was told that they were afraid the big cement slab they built over might crumble. I have since removed the impediments and I can say the only way that porch would ever crumble is if you used dynamite. The porch looks great, just what I wanted. Now, Gutter and Downspout replacement not so good. It was raining when they installed it. They had to replace some board that goes between the roof and the gutters. Then it started to snow, so the problem wasn't apparent until the snow melted. All the gutters leaked heavily right behind the gutters and it is quite obvious. I asked Mark about it and he said it was because of the snow freezing and melting. Well, it hasn't been below freezing for quite some time now and all around the house those gutters leak. Not a little leak. but a leak like we don't have gutters on at all. You can see the patterns in the dirt below. I am very disappointed and I have called Greg about this now. He is coming out to look at the situation. Overall, my experience with Greg Peterson and Extreme Exteriors was very good. Let's see how he resolves this gutter problem.
Description of Work: Greg Peterson is the owner of this company. Another contractor that I respect recommended him to build a new porch where only a concrete slab existed. He came with the other contractor to see and give me an estimate for the porch. While talking with him, he asked if he could give me an estimate on the windows and doors(We were replacing all.) and I told him that we had already decided on a contractor for that job. Just let me see if my estimate would be more reasonable than his(The person we were going to give the contract to) and I let him do it. I didn't really think he could come in at a lower price for what we had decided on. He went around and measured every window and exterior door and I told him which windows I wanted to make changes on, like Picture window turned into double hungs. I told him that I needed to see the windows & doors to make sure I was getting the same quality. He sent me down to ProLite, his supplier. Greg's bid was the lowest I received. He met me at ProLite and we discussed just what I wanted and we looked at the finished product in the showroom. Extreme Exteriors installed all the windows and door within 3 days. They also installed a new set of shutters all around. All the workers were very polite, they cleaned up after themselves and Greg was here with them working every day. That was phase 1 of the projects that I had going on the house. Phase two was Extreme Exteriors building a new porch and in Phase 3 Extreme exteriors were to put new gutters and downspouts on the house.

As I said, this home was a real fixer upper which we knew when we purchased it. This is our home however and not a fix to sell house. We purchased it at the end of June, 2009 and I had most of the contractors already lined up. I still needed a contractor for the front porch because the first contractor had bowed out. I had a man who was kind of working as my general contractor/advisor but whose actual occupation was a Tile Settter. He brought Greg out with him one night to look at the front porch area which had a massive hunk of concrete (5x6') and two steps that had long since sunk pretty far into the ground. As far as I knew, there was never a walkway to this porch. The home was built in 1949 as a country colonial/farmhouse. We were the third owners. Greg listened to what I wanted to do to get a porch that looked like it belonged to the house originally. We were planning to restore this house to its period of origin with the exception of some more modern appliances. While we were talking Mark (GC/Tiler) mentioned that we were redoing everything from the ground up. Greg asked if he could still bid on the windows and doors. I told him that that decision had already been made although we had not informed the contractor. He said that he thought he could probably beat that price. I wanted quality and I made that clear. So while we finished up some business with Mark, he went around and measured the windows and doors. A few days later he called and asked who the contractor that we planned to use was. I told him the name but not the bid amount. He called me back and said that this paeticular contractor got their windows from the same place he did, ProLite Windows and Doors. He gave me his bid and it was much lower than the bid that we decided on, but I wanted assurance that it would be the same quality. He sent us down to Prolite to see the windows that he planned to install and he told us to pick out doors while we were there. He gave us a $600. figure for each door. We were shown the windows that he would use and breakdowns on the quality and construction of the windows by owner Mike Newman. It was just as he said these windows were the very same as the windows that we had been shown by the other contractor. We looked at doors of every quality and Mike demonstrated the pros and cons of each. We decided to go with all white windows and then we picked doors of a superior quality to the $600 figure that Greg had given us. They were an unusual shade of blue on the outside doors and we wanted a door on the front that said "We are proud of this home.". So we got the multi-paneled glass with beveled edges that would look good with the grids in our windows. I could just see the little rainbows given off by the bevels dancing on the hardwood floors. Extremes' original bid was $15,200. but with the added expense that we wanted for the doors, it was revised to $18,000. That was well below the contractor bid that we were planning on using ($22,000.) and we would get just what we wanted and the house needed, good insulating factors we would need to get the $1500. Energy Credit. So we went with Greg at Extreme Exteriors, Inc. We don't regret that we did. His team showed up on time, some even got here early. The windows came and Greg came and everyone got to work. The old windows were in such bad shape with broken panes on the inside and outside and so many bugs like flies and those pesky lady bugs in between. The danger of removing windows with broken glass shards and hundreds of dead bugs was real. This is really noisy work, but the crew was very respectful and such good guys. Greg was here every day. We had company from Germany in the middle of August when they were not quite finished and we took them out to entertain them until nightfall. When we all came back late in the afternoon to get washed up and ready to go out for dinner, we couldn't beleive our eyes. They had finished and also hung the shutters and we had a brand new house or at least it looked like it. My neighbors, who had been so unhappy with the previous owners for not keeping the property up, all came by to see what we had done and they loved it. You could just tell that they were so relieved to have someone who would make the property look nice. They cleaned up after themselves and gave me the keys for the new doors. One of the doors came in wrong but they had ordered a new one to be put on later. Toward the end of August they started on the porch. Greg had dislocated his arm on a job the previous week and was going to need surgery, but he showed up Monday morning with the crew even though he was in a lot of pain. They got to work without him after some initial consulting. They started on the porch and within a few days that was finished except for the bottom set of steps. They would need to have the walkway installed before they could do that last part. Then Extreme came to do the gutters and downspouts. This is the only area that did not get talked out very well. I thought that they would have gutter guards for the gutters, but I had to go out and buy them myself. They put them on but this winter those gutters leaked every time is snow melted or was very wet. Then I noticed that they had mounted the gutters on a new board to attach them to the house and this was just a raw wood board. They didn't tell me that they were doing that or I would have insisted that they cover that board with aluminum. So the board has been getting wet all winter. They were also supposed to reattach two corner pieces that had fallen off at the top of the siding but they missed that also. THree of the downspouts were left without extensions, so I had to go buy those. In there defense, it had turned very cold and had been raining for days. I had not been home when they did this work and didn't get home until after dark, so I was completely unaware of the problems. They had also been trying to get the back door to work because it just wouldn't shut tight and was sticking from the outside when we tried to open it. I had talked to Mark about this and he relayed it to Greg. I withheld payment of the porch and gutters until this came to a resolution. Greg called and told me that Prolite would handle the door problems from now on, which they did to my complete satisfaction. I would definately hire Extreme Exteriors again and I am planning to for Phase III. Every thing needs a bit of time to adjust until it gets to be just right. Everything we asked them to fix was fixed to our satisfaction.
Description of Work: This work was part of the Phase I of a remodeling project on a home purchased as a fixer-upper. Extreme Exteriors did three separate jobs. Great experience overall. Bid offered was very competitive with other major company quote received. Greg Petersen, owner, and installation personnel were very prompt and professional in all facets of job. I heard of Extreme Exteriors through my neighbor who had hired them for window replacement this past spring. My neighbor, who is very diligent in checking quotes and quality of workmanship, had chosen this firm over 3 other quality firms. His insights and a review of his installed new windows had gone a long way in influencing my wife and my decision to choose a smaller, lesser known company.
Description of Work: Remove existing 16 wood-framed windows (14 double-hung and 2 picture windows) and replace with new 18 vinyl-framed Greatlakes 5000 double-hung windows. Installed new aluminum trim on all windows. Also included replacement of 2 interior window sills and a minor repair to office wood panel. All windows qualify for Federal energy tax credit. (Max credit of $1500 on 30% of total window cost/energy improvement costs.)

Excellent job. Much more structurally sound than previous deck. Greg quickly provided additional drawings when we ran into a problem getting a permit at the Muskego Inspector's office.
Description of Work: Replaced a 140 sq. foot cedar deck with a 300 ft. composite deck.
