 + -1 moreowner operator of his own business. professional and meticulous. doesnt advertise, work by word of mouth referrals. he is always busy. he explained to me what he was doing and why during install. cheaper install then with a box store, and I got a higher quality door, install professionally.

Description of Work: Torsion bar spring broke on garage door. Called David Forjan (at a job site) and he arrived at my home earlier than estimated. He looked at and identified the make of door and opener. He quoted a price. He also inspected and recommended the replacement of the door rollers. They were 20 years old, some with frozen bearings. He quoted a replacement cost. Total cost of $265. I gave Dave a go-ahead with the torsion bar spring (2) replacement and the replacement of the 10 rollers. It took Dave 1 1/2 hours to complete the job. He also oiled all connections and pivot points and insured the door opener was functioning properly. He cleaned the door and swept the floor. David Forjan was very courteous and respectful. He did an outstanding job and left his card for future reference. I recommend My highest recommendation of Mr. Forjan for his quality of both work and professionalism.

 + -1 moreHE CAME THE DAY AFTER MY CALL AND I DIDN'T HAVE TO BE HOME WHILE THE SERVICE WAS PERFORMED. HE ALLOWED ME TO MAIL HIM A CHECK FOR THE SERVICE CALL INSTEAD OF HAVING TO DRIVE HOME AND GIVE HIM ONE, (SOMETHING HE SAID HE NORMALLY DOESN'T DO). WHEN I GOT HOME LATER THAT AFTERNOON, I FOUND THAT MY DOOR WORKED AS WELL AS IT DID THE DAY HE INSTALLED IT YEARS AGO!! IT WAS LIKE HAVING A NEW DOOR AGAIN. HE MADE SOME UNKNOWN ADJUSTMENT TO MY ELECTRIC DOOR OPENER WHICH RESULTED IN THE LIGHT WORKING AGAIN, A SAFETY FEATURE I HADN'T ENJOYED IN YEARS! I DIDN'T EVEN ASK HIM TO LOOK AT THAT, HE TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO FIX IT ON HIS OWN. AS LONG AS HE'S IN BUSINESS, HE'LL BE MY GARAGE DOOR GUY AND I'VE RECOMMENDED HIM TO EVERYONE!
