I found Chris very attentive, responsive, and easy to work with. Chris and his co-worker Jerry were very timely, efficient, and worked hard. They took my nasty old garage floor and made it look better than new. They ground off a layer of the old concrete in my entire garage and treated the areas that needed extra attention like salt pock marks and cracks. They then applied the plastic flakes I had chosen, sanded the floor again, and then applied the epoxy finish. This was done over a three day period. During the process, Chris provided me with ideas and advice for maintaining my new floor and improving other concrete areas of my home. I am very happy with and proud of my new floor. Communication was great, work was performed exactly as proposed, and the finished result is beautiful! We had a slight issue with bubbles that required a return trip, sanding and re-coating of some areas. Chris returned within 24 hours of learning we were concerned about this and made the necessary repairs. We could not be happier with the experience of working with Chris. This is not the least expensive option for finishing cement basement floors, but if you are considering epoxy, Chris Rath will do a wonderful job!

Chris and his team were amazing. Chris provided prompt communication through the whole process, including follow up after the work was complete to check in. The work took two days. Chris himself was at the work site the entire time. The team was professional and punctual. The work site was very neat and clean. There was definitely a smell with the epoxy, but I would not call it overwhelming and keeping our windows open for a day cleared it right up. It was very similar to the smell of newly painted walls. We really could not be happier with the work! Our basement is clean, bright and the cracks in the floors are gone.

Chris did an excellent job installing epoxy flooring in our basement rec room. He gave us a quote within one day after we provided the square footage of the room and a few pictures. He provided us pictures of other epoxy floors and color/chip samples. Once we booked a date, he followed up with us a few days before that date to let us know when he would be arriving. He completed the job on the weekend (2 days to complete) which worked well as both my husband and I work during the week. Chris was extremely courteous and polite and wonderful to work with. He followed up with us a couple times for the week after installation to ensure the flooring was drying correctly and was to our standards. I would definitely recommend Rath Epoxy Flooring (also known as Concrete Ideas LLC) and would gladly be a reference.

Chris, the owner, explained everything about the application process thoroughly and how to maintain the floor after the epoxy application. We needed to arrange for the installation long distance since we were moving from out of state to the area. He was very prompt in responding to our calls and flexible with coordination with our schedule for the installation since we were traveling in for just a few days. He and his crew and his wife, were very professional and courteous, they were on time and very conscientious. He left the garage and our driveway spotless. He even went the extra step of following up with us a week later to make sure everything was okay and to our satisfactions. We explained that we had not seen the floor since it dried because we had to return to Chicago before it dried. He was nice enough to go out of his way to go by our home to check on the floor and send us pictures. We would highly recommend Rath Epoxy Flooring to anyone.

did not. We scheduled this application a week prior and ended up the day of the big snowstorm last Monday. Chris communicated on Sunday about how the storm may effect his timing and decided to come early and got most of it done before the main storm. Chris and his son Frankie did a great job. Because of house layout and being winter, they had to enter though our house and "paint" their way into out home entrance way. They did a good job covering and protecting our home floor services and cleanup afterwards. It was a two day job and it turned our beautiful... I hate to drive on it! I thought about doing this project myself but after watching what all was involved and how well they did it, I am glad I did not. I plan on using part of this space for a workshop.

Went superbly. Chris Rath is a good man and a great craftsman. His attention to detail, responsiveness, willingness to explain the process and the end product warrant all to consider this guy. My garage floor looks like showroom. A "Man Space' dream!

Chris was very responsive, he came out to look at our basement quickly (5/19/2015) and provided us with an estimate on the spot. He brought many color samples with that made choosing a color much easier. The work was scheduled for 6/11 and took two days to complete. He ground the concrete floor to have a clean substrate to apply the epoxy to, put down the epoxy with all the color flakes, then applied a sealant. There was little, if any, mess from all the work. After 48 hours the epoxy was all dry and we moved a few things back into the basement. It looks very nice, almost like carpet, because of all the nice variation in color from the colored chips in the epoxy. Not industrial or garage-like looking at all. It's really easy to clean and the color brings a nice warmth to the basement. A few days later we noticed two chips in the epoxy in the middle of the floor, so we refrained from bringing any more furniture back into the basement. We contacted Chris to see if he could stop by and repair them, we offered to pay for him time and effort as well. He was planning to stop by around the 4th of July weekend but the plans fell through on his part and he couldn't make it. Chris came by on 8/12 to repair the two chips and told us to stay off the typical 48 hours until they dried. Today is 8/25 and they are not yet completely dry but still sticky and gummy-like, so we have turned on our dehumidifier in an attempt to help the patches dry. We also contacted Chris about the patches not drying. Today (8/25) Chris has quickly contacted us back and he is planning on returning to fix the little gummy patches. He has been very professional throughout this entire exchange and we really appreciate it. We will update this review as the process continues. Update: Chris came over on 8/25 to fix the patches and the fix worked this time! The floor is complete and we are enjoying it. It is easy to clean and we are glad that we had the epoxy done. Again, we really appreciated how professional Chris was throughout the entire process.
