 + -1 moreKyle came within 1 hour of my call to assess the water dripping from the ceiling and walls on my first floor and water damage to the walls and ceiling tiles in my basement as well. He was extremely professional and perplexed as to where the water was coming from. At first we thought it was the master shower drain. After opening up the ceiling on the first floor the master toilet was found to be excessively leaking. Upon pulling it upstairs it was revealed that a prior plumber did not properly reinstall the toilet. The was ring was not even compressed or touched by the base of the toilet and it had been leaking for 2 months. Kyle completely reinstalled the toilet properly and checked the other bathroom upstairs toilet to make sure it was okay as well. I am confident that the job is now done professionally and correctly and now have to call in water damage restoration to fix all the damage that had occurred . I am very fortunate to have found Turek's Plumbing and will definitely be using them in the future for all of my work.

He came back with his quote and a detailed binder of each step and what items we needed to chose/complete prior to dates noted. He subcontracted D&M Interiors for our tile work - they were wonder to work with as well and very professional. Timelines were kept and Ed and his crew were extremely professional and did wonderful work.

 + -1 moreThe new faucet would not have been requried. What cost $135 turned out to be a maybe $70 valve recaulking job. Most aggravating is that Turek did not even care to call later to find out if 3rd attempt finally addressed the issue. This plumber does not seem to care. But all personnel was friendly.
Description of Work: Turek was requested to fix a leak around the plumbing of bath tub. Needed three attempts to finish work. 1. technician installed new faucet, which turned out to be unneccessary and did not address the leak. Came back a second time and caulked areas forgotten first time but leak was still there. on 3rd attempt different technician finally found leak, which was caused not by faucet but by deteriorated valve gasket. He recaulked everything including work done by 2. technician and found and addressed root cause = valve gasket. He initially offered $600 = replacing entire valve with renovation plate but when that solution was declined he did a free of charge fix. The same fix which would have addressed the leak in the first place.

Description of Work: Supplied and changed out kitchen faucet and fixed a drip in the bathroom with two washers. Also changed the water supply handles under the sink which they said was at no charge.

 + -1 moreThey were very professional with everything and the estimate, but we went somewhere else. We ended up doing a bigger project which was actually too big for them, so instead of just the bathroom we finished our whole lower level. The experience was fine and they came out pretty fast. He came out on time and was very professional.

 + -1 moreThe drain ran from the kitchen sink through several outside wall studs before coming through the 1st floor to the line running to the stack in the basement. According to a competitor, replacing this meant that the kitchen sink, counter top and several base cabinets would have to be removed to access the pipes . Tureks offered an easier solution. They simply drilled a hole directly beneath the sink and ran the drain straight down into the basement, and jogged the line along the outside basement wall. Much easier. The new piping looks really nice! The two technicians were on time, friendly, worked fast (2 hours), and were done so quickly that they even had time to put an arrestor between the dishwasher and dishwasher valve to get rid of some air hammer issues we were having with the dishwasher.
Description of Work: Tureks replaced a kitchen drain line and the basement stack from old cast iron fittings and galvanized pipe with PVC.

 + -1 moreI decided to try Turek's based on their commercials for excellent service in the Fox Valley area as well as their high ratings on Angie's list. I live 20 miles West of Oshkosh. I called one week in advance to schedule an appointment. I was asked if I live within an hour of Appleton. I do. The appointment was made for 8:30 am Thursday, June 13th. I used one of my VERY precious and limited vacation days for the day of the appointment. I got a call from Turek's at 7:00 am THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT and was told that they don't service my area....if I wanted them to come, I could pay an extra $89. What happened to and quot;excellentand quot; service ....customer service????? I understand mistakes happen, but the least they could have done was called me a day or two in advance.

They are very thorough and went over everything in the contract. They also reassured us that if they are able to purchase anything we want at a lower price then we will acknowledge that before anything is done.

 + -1 moreWe have Turek's in the past to install a sump pump/backup system and I was impressed with their professionalism and quality. I recently had them install a kitchen faucet which I had purchased from another store. On Saturday of the Memorial day weekend, one of the hoses from the faucet began leaking badly from a connection point. I called Turek's and explained the situation. They were at my house in less than an hour and fixed the problem with no charge to me. The gentlemen explained that the connection probably failed due to their installation. He then spent the next half hour with us talking about the faucet we had purchased and how he was impressed with that particular product. He told us a lot about Delta (the faucet manufacturer) and how to get help from them if we had a hardware failure. Turek's employees have gone go above and beyond with everything I have had done. You cannot go wrong with Turek's

I was able to make changes along the way and Ed was willing to adjust not only price but colors and other nuances that I and my husband thought of along they way. The staff were extremely accomodating with our work schedule and they stayed right on schedule, especially since it was just before Christmas. It all went on without a hitch and to this day, we have experienced no problems at all with any of the remodeling done! A+ to Tureks Plumbing!
Description of Work: Ed and his crew were able to transform two of our bathrooms in a matter of only about 2 1/2 weeks. We have a home built in 1972 and needed to have two main bathrooms essentially cleared out and they were able to install quality (Kohler) toilets/shower and also subcontract all the woodwork and electrical with quality providers.

 + -1 moreI give them an A on everything. So, you can take every other name out of the phone book. It takes a long time but we have good people. I will use them again. It is all positive. I would not consider anyone else.
Description of Work: I was cleaning the bathroom and flushed a diaper down the toilet by accident and I could not do anything, it was a mess. I called them and what impressed me is that as I was unhappy with my other plumbers. I just did not like them. I heard an ad on my favorite radio station whby, and this man had a jingle and he was the owner of Turek's. It was so cute and catchy and I thought I would just try them. The lady that answered the phone asked how I came to call them. I told her that I had loved the jingle on the radio and at the end he says, Hi, I am Ed Turek and I want to be your plumber, so I told her to tell Ed I would like to give him a try. He came out and I was so impressed, and he knew what he was doing. What I really loved is when I asked how much it would cost, he pulled out a book and said you need this, and this, and this, and this is the cost and we will stay with this. He said if it was more, we would cover it, but that is your final estimate. I thought that was quite reasonable for coming out the same day. He fixed it perfectly. While he was upstairs fixing it, which was quite a little project. While he was working the door bell rang and it was Ed Turek, introducing himself, and thanking me and said yes, he did want to be our plumber. That was totally unnecessary to come out while his man was here working. I had another issue with our basement bathroom..He said he could fix that and everything needed was out on his truck. It was a very old bathroom. He put in new fixtures. He asked me to come downstairs and inspect. He had polished and shined everything to make it look brand new. It looked like he did a whole bathroom.....

Description of Work: I was told that the people who installed may be able to get back later in the PM. This was early AM and I had no hot water and guests from NY. They also told me it was likely I needed to replace the water heater as they had done service just a few weeks earlier. I wasn't convinced they did the propper diagnostics to justify a new heater. That is when I called Turek. Ed Turek came to our house within the hour. He ran several idea and checked for problems. He really listened and asked questions about what we were experiencing. He adjusted the thermostat and the unit fired up. He told me it was unlikely that the prior ignition replacement was necessary. He felt we may simply have a thermostat the stuck and may not happen again. He asked that I watch it and call if and when we need help. He would get someone right over. I found Ed to be prompt,honest and thorough.

 + -1 moreOur sink was clogged from Thanksgiving and our garbage disposal did not work. We called one place to fix and no one returned our call. I then called Tureks and the Phone was promptly answered and the person (Ed?) was extremely professional. I called around noon and I was given an appointment 2 hours later - on Friday after Thanksgiving - how great is that! Kyle came right on time and provided outstanding service - he cleaned out the drain and diagnosed our malfunctioning disposal - luckily he had a commercial brand disposal in his truck and in no time replaced our disposal. On top of that he volunteered to tighten our loose faucet and reconnect a pipe that came undone in my garage. Kyle was absolutely superb - extremely knowledgeable - very polite and made sure that we were satisfied with his work and clean up. We had a very good experience with Kyle and with Turek's plumbing - they are worth their weight in gold - in today's environment - it is rare to find such honest - caring and wonderful service - thank you Ed and to your team.
