Description of Work: I've been using this service for several months now. Overall, the service is satisfactory and they are in and out of my house before I arrive home from work. On occasion, there are missed spots such as a ceiling fan, heat register, baseboard not dusted, etc. but the spot is cleaned at the next cleaning. The major areas of the bathrooms and kitchen have been cleaned better than I clean. Love the small touches of the towels folded nicely on the rack, throw pillows arranged on the couch and the toilet paper folded to a point.

Description of Work: We have had a wonderful experience with the Cleaning Authority. We have had weekly cleaning service for about 4-5 months. The workers are extremely professional, polite and thorough. They bend over backwards to accommodate requests. They are also very responsive to direction--eg, could you clean the vents in the bedroom. The office staff has been very responsive, as well. Communication between the workers, office staff and us is made very clear and consistent by the various forms used by the company. There is an opportunity each time to write notes to cleaning or office staff, and for them to write to us things we might want to know or replies to a question. Workers are vetted nationally, unlike some other cleaning services in the area, with disastrous results. One negative is that the Cleaning Authority cannot give an exact time for when they will arrive on cleaning day. This means to us that one of us has to sit home and wait til they arrive, then proceed with errands, etc. They may come at 10:00 or 2:30--a widely varying range. Overall we are extremely happy with the Cleaning Authority.

Description of Work: I hired this company to clean my house. this included only the first floor wtih 1 1/2 bath, kitchen, master bedroon, living room and dining room. They were hired to come every other week. There was a rotation where everything was cleaned every week, then divided in two sections one of which was "deep cleaned".

Description of Work: We called Cleaning Authority 800 # to arrange a quote. They scheduled an appt the following week. The local rep called to confirm the appointment. On the day of the appointment no one showed up or called which really annoyed us because I left work early to accommodate this meeting. Obviously we won't consider using this service if they can't even show up to give a quote!

Description of Work: We chose the Cleaning Authority to clean our home because we wanted a professional organization rather than an individual working on their own. While the initial meeting and preparations for the cleaning were well done and professional, nothing we have experienced since that time was even close. First, the initial cleaning took place and the quality of the work was questionable. While many of the target areas were done well, there were a number of areas that were simply skipped and not touched at all. These were simple things like light fixtures and under the couch the living room (these were not the only items). I saw these as indications of a crew that cleaned the things that would be most obvious to the customer but glossed over or completely skipped the areas that were less obvious. I am a business man and understand that sometimes workers make mistakes. The thing that made our experience with the Cleaning Authority so bad was not the mistakes that were made during the work, but the complete lack of professionalism by the Manager (I believe she is the owner) of the franchise. It starts off with not even having an answering machine that you can leave messages on. She does have an answering service but clearly doesn't listen to what they tell her in that she may return a call on occasion but rarely, and never in a timely manner. We were not comfortable continuing with the service and were definitely not comfortable paying for the shoddy work that took place. While we tried to communicate through messages that we were willing to negotiate some kind of partial payment, the only response we ever really got was that bills kept on coming. It seems that the only part of the company that is efficient, timely and consistent is billing. After months of continued frustration in trying get a phone call returned and have a meaningful dialog, I gave up. Then of course, I received a notice that our bill was going to a collections agency. To make it all go away, I wrote a check for half the amount and attached a letter explaining my disappointment but also my desire to get this behind us. As soon as she received the letter, I FINALLY GOT A MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE. It was the owner saying it was too late and that it was out of her hands. Of course when I called back to talk to her, I got her answering service and couldn't leave any kind on voice mail. The bottom line is that I think the people cleaning the house probably would do an ok job if managed properly, but the lack of any sense or reasonable customer service acumen, professionalism and managerial skills is so significant at the top of the company that I would never suggest to anyone that they call this company for cleaning.
