Called Mapleleaf around 5PM, Person who answered the phone didn't sound friendly. Quickly explained what I needed and he said he's not in the office but to call back and leave a voicemail which I did. 2 weeks later, I have not heard back. They seem to do it all and I needed a lot of work done, apparently they don't want more work. I thought about not leaving a review but after spending 20-30 minutes on their site, their facebook page and reading the reviews here on Angie's list, I've wasted alot of time researching this company. Save your time and look for a company who really wants to do your work.

The crew from Maple Leaf Landscaping created a BEAUTIFUL outdoor patio space. Very nice design that includes two elevated planters and a nice sitting wall for entertaining guests. We have gotten NUMEROUS compliments on our patio and would definitely use Maple Leaf again (already thinking about creating a nicer front porch with Maple Leaf's help!). Highly recommend them!

My experience with them was good. They were clean and cleaned up themselves and did a good job. It was a little pricey for what they did. They do more of paddy work. I would use them again in the future.

As the summer progressed, I made a mistake in fertilizing the lawn in some small areas (which I took full responsibility for ) and started to take out the top layer of "soil". As I was taking out the "soil" I noticed that the fill they put in the year prior was MOSTLY CLAY COMPOSITE..NO BLACK SOIL TO BE SEEN. We decided it would be a good idea to contact Maple Leaf Landscaping, with our other concerns. We called Cal, Owner of Maple Leaf Landscaping, in Appleton, to stop and look at the problem areas. Today, he stopped by unexpectedly, and said "we f***** it up". We kept on saying that the areas we were reseeding were NOT HIS PROBLEM, but he would ignore us and keep referring back to how "we f***** it up". He immediately started saying "from the very first time I met you I could tell you were Liberal Democrats", and "that you have ruined it for the rest of us" (in context I'm not sure what this meant). I proceeded to say that he put mostly clay fill in our backyard (I can attest to this...I formed a clay ball and it has stayed this way for 3 days....it's all clay). He said "It's not clay, it's soil". He proceeded to call us "Dumb and Dumber", "Idiots", and that "He's done with us". At one point he leaned over into my husbands face and said, threateningly, "So what are you going to do about it". He proceeded to leave and said "What do you think I did went in and took all you top soil and put in clay?". I said "Yes, this is exactly what you did". I could feel his hatred for us in every way. I was referred by a friend, but since our budgets are much smaller, and with Cal's supposed observation that "we are Liberal Democrats"....I knew this would not be a happy ending. It was a very scary situation, and would NEVER refer MAPLE LEAF LANDSCAPING TO ANYONE!
