 + -1 moreTo start off with i left a message and asked for a phone call. I got 90% of communication back with texts ( from a computer that wasn't always manned) It was a bit weird . The other thing was i had to take pictures of my electrical panel and text them back . I wish they would have come out here and talked with me. Felt very impersonal. The only reason we ended up talking was because there was a question about the city permit and it would have been a nightmare trying to text the conversation. In the end it worked out and Lewins did the work . The technician showed up and he did a nice job. I would hire them again. They were priced reasonably compared to other quotes that I got. I just want to for warn folks that their initial contact is not the usual way.
Description of Work: We used Lewins for installing a dedicated electrical outlet for our swimming pool

 + -1 moreBryce was my technician and he was spectacular. Came up for an initial quote. He made diagnosis and explained options of what we could do. Bryce was very punctual, friendly, and helpful. He worked quickly and efficiently. We worked through our Home Warranty and project was originally declined coverage, but thanks to explanation of Bryce and team, it was covered. I thought cost was reasonable.
Description of Work: Dedicated circuit added for microwave.

 + -1 moreAfter I recieved the estimate I awarded the work to the other company.
Description of Work: I asked for an estimate on a repair to my incoming power line. Lewins Electric asked for photos of the location and what work needed to occur. I sent several photos and Lewins Electric was very knowledgable about the service and age of the system. He wanted me to take more photos of the service inside the house so he could include the cost to run a complete new service all the way into the house and do a regrounding of the electrical system. I did not ask for all this additional work and it sounded like he was trying to make this a big and costly project when I only needed a small job preformed. He called later to see where the photos were and I told him I was not interested in all the additional work. He quickly sent me a estimate. The estimate was twice the price compared to another company who looked at the application independently (without photos) and only quoted what I asked for.

 + -1 moreRandy came the next day after I placed a call to him. He was quick to diagnose the problem and offered an immediate fix and a long term solution in an estimate for later date of repair. He was fast and diligent in this repair.
Description of Work: Randy Lewin troubleshooted the electrical circuit that had failed in my sewing room. It was probably overloaded with too many electrical devices on one circuit.

 + -1 moreThe owner showed up the same day to give me an estimate. The work was done and complete within three days. The city inspector passed the installation with no problems. I was also pleased to find out that the work was done for $200 less than the original bid because things went smoothly and that it took less time than expected. (I did do some work myself to clear out the area they were to be working in.)
Description of Work: A 100 amp circuit breaker box was installed for new service to my garage as well as a mast and meter box on the exterior. GFCI protection was provided and all wiring was hooked up to the box.

 + -1 moreThe remodel was gutting all the way to the studs. We needed to have the entire kitchen wired to code. Randy was a tremendous help in planning stage. Saved us a lot of headach by suggesting options.
Description of Work: Re-wired kitchen for a kitchen remodel. Put in a new box due to our current was not up to code.

 + -1 moreOverall, his professional posture is poor. I am not sure if his technical expertise is up to snuff, as I am not a licensed electrician, but I have been told by a good friend and licensed electrician in the area that he is known as a bit of a wedge.
Description of Work: Had Mr. Lewins in for an estimate. His detailed estimate was off by $110. He was a day late, and after having a discussion about a potential rental investment, he attempted to move in on the property. Very bad form Mr. Lewins...
