Dryer Vent Wizard

I spoke to Rob of Dryer Vent Wizard and explained what I needed. I was able to have him out to my home a few days later. He arrived right on time. I needed a fresh install from the dryer to the wall plus a new vent. Rob give a once over what I had and clearly explained all of my options. After deciding on a course of action work was completed in a very timely manner. The workspace was left cleaner than he found it. Rob was professional all the way thru and answered all the questions I had.

Robb kept me informed of his schedule on the day of the service. Weather was quite cold and jobs were taking longer than expected. Upon arrival he assessed what needed to be done, beginning with freeing up a frozen vent grille. Work was completed on time and at a fair price. I bought the service contract, which provides additional benefits between major cleanings. This was my second experience with Robb. I would highly recommend him.

I submitted a request for an appointment online and received a call in a matter of hours to schedule my appointment. They came and very quickly and professionally did an estimate of the necessary work, provided me with options, and explained the costs. Once I made my selections they performed all the work and cleaned up in no time! I ended up having my dryer vent line replaced in full and a new pest-proof cover was placed on the outside. I will be hiring them again in the future - hopefully a ways in the future, as they also showed me how to better self-maintain my dryer vent!

Apparently, and unbeknownst to us, a bird has been building a nest every year in our dryer vent duct. Roy explained that lint was backed up through the whole tube all the way to the dryer, even though the lint is removed inside the dryer by an appliance service company every year. We only realized it was a problem when suddenly it was taking way too long to get the clothes to dry. Roy removed the nest, cleaned the vent duct and put on a new bird-proof cover. He also pointed out that the rubber tubes leading from the washer and dryer to the wall and gas outlets need to be replaced every 5 years. He replaced our 14 year old tubes with metal mesh tubes that never need to be replaced. Then he kindly removed another bird's nest over our fireplace vent. Roy was very courteous, friendly and professional. Dryer Vent Wizards will send me a reminder every 18 months to let me know it is time for a dryer vent cleaning. Nice to not to have one more thing to try to remember. Dryer Vent Wizards were refreshingly professional from the initial phone call making an appointment to the finished job. Roy left the house clean and tidy. I will use them again and recommend them to all my friends.

Called Rob on 12/16/2015 and thankfully, he was able to come the same day. We own a duplex and wanted both sides worked on. He and his apprentice were very professional and did a great job. The dryers on both side of the duplex are working fantastically. Thought our problems were with our dryers, but actually the vents were filthy.

It was good. He came out when he said he would come out, looked at it, saw what he could do and did what he said he was going to do.

Great customer service! Was able to come earlier than expected and was very informative. He even let my kids watch (for a safe distance) and answered EVERY question they came up with!

Very responsive, very professional. The estimate was probably very fair, but I received an offer from a friend to do it for much less.

I first received his voicemail which threw me off a bit (it was more of a personal voicemail than business), but once we were connected everything was great. He showed up on time and performed the requested services plus some. We have a really long dryer vent and it hadn't been cleaned in two year. Also the plastic cap that keeps critters out of the dryer vent had lost a piece and needed to be repaired. He was really knowledgeable and I would definitely call him again for routine cleanings!

The technician was right on time for the scheduled 8am appointment. He first inspected the overall system and then went over options with me regarding ways to proceed. I opted to replace the majority of the accordian style vent tubing with aluminum tubing. He reshaped the general slope of the vent line by replacing the old line which had a vertical section with 90 degree bends on the top and bottom with one that has a shorter vertical run followed by a 45 degree run up to the exit through the wall. All seams were properly taped to eliminate air leaks and he cleaned the outside vent cover. When all was said and done we have a system that is completely within applicable codes, is now anchored to the wall and has a 33% performance increase over the pre-work inspection (initial air speed exiting the outside vent was 18mph versus 24mph once all work was completed). These guys are definitely not the least expensive providers but came highly recommended. The work area was properly cleaned afterwards and I was satisfied with the work. One more peace of mind repair to check off the list for a couple of years.

They were able to do an estimate, and they worked on the same day. Robert was extremely clean, and my house was left cleaner than when he got here. The work was done, and explained step by step so there was never a question as to what they were doing and what kind of energy efficiency I would obtained with any kind of change.

I sent an email via Angie's List on Wednesday night, after discovering a fairly "linty" vent pipe system. Robb replied via phone within 20 minutes! We scheduled an inspection for Friday AM that same week. Robb was very flexible with regard to service time, starting at 7:00 AM to accommodate my schedule. Robb showed me what they were going to do, and explained the charges very clearly before starting the work. He and his technician (Dave, I believe) finished in less than two hours. I was extremely satisfied with the work, and the price was very fair. All in all, a very important fire prevention service that was done well.

After gutting a room that was going to be remodeled, it was noticed that the lower level laundry room dryer vent piping in our split level home was installed within a wall using 4" flexible plastic hose which had several twists and turns that tended to restrict airflow. I called the Dryer Vent Wizard and set up a time for him to replace the venting system. He requested to inspect the situation the day before installation and inspected the problem to prepare a plan of action. The next day he arrived promptly as planned and set about his work very workmanlike after explaining his plan of action and expected results. Upon removing the upper two feet of hose, it could be seen that the hose was nearly plugged with dryer lint which was a potential fire hazard. The provider removed all of the old hose and replaced it with 4" aluminum piping and taped all the joints with a metallic tape. He made the entire 15-20 feet with only two elbows and straight shots between. After completion of the work, he measured the air flow through the new installation and clean up all work areas with a vacuum. He also installed new stainless steel washer hoses as the old rubber ones were slightly checked and cracked. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism, knowledge and thoroughness of his work.

Trying to reconnect the dryer to the vent after cleaning was nearly an impossible task. Called Robb Vandenberg and he had a ready solution and proceeded to alleviate the issue and also installed the pest guard very quickly and efficiently.

He was real professional and prompt. The technician came back and brought my facility up to code without charging me so I was real impressed with that. I will use them again in the future.

He arrived on time, got right to work. Explaining to me what he was doing and why. He showed me the results of his tests - the first and second tests and explained to me what they meant. Then he clearly outlined his suggested things to do. He was not pushy at all when I said that I wanted to change the tubing for my washer on my own versus pay him to do that. The other things he suggested were reasonable and saved me a lot of time and effort. He has the tools to do it correctly and quickly. Robb is very friendly. He wears a neat and clean uniform. The job took a little over an hour.

They arrived on time to do the work. They were professional while they were working. I would use them in the future. I would recommend them. The quality of their work was good.
