I am disabled so my home is built so that everything is easily accessible. There are 5 doors in my home that are warped and they need to be fixed badly. He sent someone over to sand the door thinking it would fix the issue when in fact the door is bowed and will not close. He ended up replacing a pantry door for me and one other door when he told me he would replace the 5 doors that needed to be replaced. I also had a leaky window in the basement which they told me they would fix and essentially they just "put a band-aid" on it and it did not fix the issue. There is also an issue with a screen door where it flops and I told him I wanted them replaced and my money back and he said it wasn't going to happen. And we can't use this door because if we do then it will ruin the door even more. I marked every door that needed to be fixed in the home and the paint job on the doors is not acceptable for a brand new home. The woodworking guy screwed up my counters by cutting a gaping hole in my counter to put a new sink for me that they ended up having caulked in. From the beginning of the inspection they told me that the kitchen cabinets, bathroom cabinets and countertops could not be fixed because the guy who did the work died in a motorcycle accident. Instead he told me that they would give me a discount on cabinets. In reality I wanted him to take out the cabinets in my home because I just wanted them gone and he said he wouldn't do it. He refused to do any of the work I requested. This issue has been with the sub-contractor that they hired. The original contractor, Mathif Hardware, will not fire this sub-contractor because he is a friend and he continues to offer me discounts rather than fire the sub-contractor that has not been helpful at all. Also, they hired a plumber to come in and put the sand point in my home because our well was in a building outside. We had to pay an extra $1500 so the plumber could do what he needed to do to get water in the house, which he never ended up getting water in the house. He claims that no one ever told him that the water needed to go in the home. This plumber forged our names on some documents and tried to charge us three times for something that he did not do. The contractor was told not to use this plumber because he doesn’t know what he is doing but the sub-contractor used him anyway. It got to the point where we told the plumber to get attorneys and we have not heard from them since.
