WIEDMEYER Electric

I contacted Wiedmeyer Electric and worked with Darrell on 5/29/20. I paid him $318.00 to access how to repair/replace my outdoor circle lighting, office recessed lighting and kitchen cabinet lighting. Darrell indicated he would get back to me in about a week for estimates and a plan. It is October 22, 2020 (5 months later) and I still have not received pricing or any type of plan. I have texted him numerous times and left multiple voice mails. Darrel just keeps responding that "he is working on it". I have lost so much time waiting and trying to work with him. Why did he come over if he never wanted the work?

I went with another company. They were very professional. However, they gave me an estimate and not a proposal and I really wanted proposal.

Contracting Wiedmeyer Electric has been a smooth, stress free, pleasure. I always felt like they were taking personal ownership and pride in the projects they were doing in our home. They made us feel like getting our problems squared away was the most important thing they were going to be doing that day! Darrell & Joe are professionals. I was referred to Darrell by an Angies List contractor, Over The Top Roofing. Since I was so pleased with everything they did, and wanted it to continue, I hired Darrell to work together with them. Since this initial hiring, I have had Darrell out for a ton of additional work. My girlfriend Sue hires him do all the repairs on her duplex. We have peace of mind knowing we have our electrical contractor needs set now for those panic jobs that need immediate attention. I will not ever be looking for anyone else. Sue & I were out socially with friends recently. These friends live 10 miles from us, in Whitefish Bay, and had recently completed putting on an entire second floor on their 50 year old house. We quite naturally both starting talking about how much we like our electrician. This is kind of like when you like your family dentist, hair stylist or yoga instructor. After about ten minutes of trying to ?out do? the other person with ?hey,...beat this? type of electrician stories, we both stopped, ??.and got quiet, ??.and then asked,???who?s your electrician? We both blurted out at the same time,?.Darrell Wiedmeyer... Come on!!?..I couldn't make this stuff up any better! Darrell supplied me with fixed price bids for some projects, and for Sue's duplex, that is how we proceeded. For our home residence work, we preferred to hire Darrell at a time and material rate. Darrell was fine with me to work with him, so I could change my mind as the project proceeds. Its great to get EXACTLY what you want. He supplied options and ideas for me along the way, and I was always able to get a job that was way better than I had first conceived it. This guy has ideas to solve anything that pops up! Since I have spent so much time working with him on my jobs, I can tell you how efficient he is. He has all the right tools, all the right tricks of the trade and a very clean and organized truck. He always had a clear reason why we could or should not do something a certain way,........always per code. I liked that. I can't speak for others, but I hate it when your house burns down. At my previous home, I did all my own electrical work. But I?m 60 now, and just don?t want to punish myself anymore. Nothing scared me away previously, and it was all inspected and done up to code. If I felt I wasn't getting way more than my moneys worth with Darrell & Joe, I would certainly know. They are friendly, honest, and show up when they say they will. Cut to the chase, and hire these guys with confidence. They will put you at ease with their style and knowledge, and you will have your electrician needs covered for life.
