 + 0 moreOverall, everything went well- good communication with me, on-time and as-designed installation, and the work is first-rate. Rick, the owner, came to my house to talk about my project, look at my design proposal, offer suggestions, and we agreed on a price. The yard was a mess with the side of the dirt falling in around my south-exposure windows and a gravel "patio" that was a nightmare. the Gamroth crew arrived with all their supplies and rocks and tools and soon had things under control. Bad weather slowed things down but the finished product was worth the wait. It made the south side walk-out on my home an inviting private patio.
Description of Work: I had a series of rock walls installed to make planting beds moving from the first level of my home to a basement walkout. They also installed a large paved stone patio for the lower grade walkout area surrounded by the rock walls. They took my basic drawing and created exactly what I had "seen" when I was planning it and worked to make it match the other retaining walls built around my home. The work was done well and while it took several weeks due to inclement weather, I never felt I was being shuffled aside or not kept informed about the process. At the time I thought the cost was so expensive but the work has lasted. The patio has weathered well and only one of the walls has had a problem with one of the rocks starting to tilt out (but not give away yet!) after almost a decade. I am starting a new project in Spring 2012 and will be calling Gamroth to get their bid and see if they can help me out again....
