Bob gave me a very competitive quote and promised me service much faster than other companies. The work itself was done very professionally, quickly and with an efficient cleanup. I will be calling Bobcat for future work.

Overall Bobcat Electrical was very professional and easy to work with. Bob came out for the bid and was very friendly and not trying to up sell anything like other contractors. Bob explained everything without trying to use scare tactics (our home is over 100 years old, and has been the victim of several less than competent DIYers over the years). We had a couple small communication hiccups along the way but overall great work! Bob was even kind enough to fix an item (that wasn't his work) that didn't pass inspection.

Bob was extremely warm and professional. He was also very understanding of my hours, as I cannot get off work before 4pm and he offered to come do the repairs while I was at work. He and his team did a fantastic job and went above and beyond when they found a problem with my panel--and even labeled the breakers for free. I also appreciate that he took the time to explain everything to me in layman's terms. I will definitely be using them again soon to do a full service on my panel! :-)

Bob came out the day after initial call to give an estimate and had 2 electricians out the next morning. They were on time, efficient and friendly. They went up in the attic and tested the fan, finding the old motor dead. I'd bought new parts from Home Depot (had read it's cheapest to just buy a whole new attic fan - $66 - rather than just the motor) and the fan blades, motor, and thermostat are all in one piece so they were able to basically put in a whole new fan system. They tested it was working and set the thermostat so the fan would go on when the air in the attic is 80 degrees. Yesterday we had a record hot April day at 91 here. Usually on a day like that, the house would get hot and stuffy, but yesterday it only went up to a comfortable 74 inside without any AC running even. I couldn't hear the fan running so went on the roof to see (!) It was putting out a huge amount of hot air, but just doing its thing almost silently. Excellent service and install by a nice group of guys. Recommend!

The guys came out and were professional and courteous. They fixed one short and left. However, the same breaker kept blowing. It was a Friday night and the boss ended up coming to our darkened doorstep after regular business hours... I think it was around 6:30 pm. He and I crawled back in the crawl space and were able to isolate another pinched wire that was causing a second short. His guys did a great job with the first blown wire but just missed the second one another 10 feet down the same line. It was great to have the boss come and personally fix the needed repair. High marks for customer service! Thanks for going the extra mile!

As a DIY homeowner, it's been my experience that many tradesmen will not converse over the phone about homeowner issues. ("LIABILITY!" I get it, my wife's a lawyer.) This was not my experience with Bob, the owner. He spent a good 10 minutes hearing me out and giving me suggestions. I was so impressed and appreciative that, even though I was 95% certain (my usual acceptable safety level) I'd done the work we'd discussed correctly, I thought it couldn't hurt to have them come out and see. So, the primary reason I contact Bobcat Electric was to verify I had correctly converted four 110 outlets to 220 outlets and to check my handiwork of rewiring the electrical panel to accommodate these changes. However, before the appointed date arrived, my wife and I had the chance to make a much longer list of electrical issues we've been wanting to address over the years; much more than what was expressed when I first made the appointment. I contact Bobcat about the add-ons and was assured that wouldn't be a problem. I also had a chance to discuss the costs for these additions and was told I'd be charged a flat hourly rate after the first hour. So squeezing as much as I could into each hour became my goal. So I prepped for all the tasks as best I could to move things along. Journeyman Brian S. and an apprentice showed up on time and ready to go. They listened to me explain all the various tasks I wanted accomplished and what my priorities were (remember, I had no idea how long these tasks take to accomplish nor how fast these guys would work). They offered a few time-saving suggestions about the order the work could be more efficiently accomplished. They got to work and man did they do a lot in not much time. Brian did an excellent job managing his apprentice. They performed parallel work when possible (each working on a separate tasks - killing two birds with one stone so to speak), worked quickly and efficiently, and offered helpful suggestions on the order to do the tasks in an effort to save time. I asked if I could help out and Brian willingly let me where I could which saved even more time. We were in the crawl space, in the attic, upstairs & downstairs, outside and out in my workshop. They checked work I had done. They trouble shot "mystery" wiring issues (we bought our home in foreclosure and the prior owners themselves were in the middle of a renovation when they lost the home). They corrected crazy wiring issues (one of our 3 garage doors would only work when the garage lights were on - now it works independent of the garage light switch). And they helped determine what 4 different "mystery" light switches in the home were originally purposed to do (noting they didn't do anything when activated, we just ignored them over the past 5 years). And they helped me strategize the best way to do a few other projects I've got in mind. They really did do a terrific job and I honestly believe these two gents valued my time and money like it was their own -- truly refreshing and very much appreciated. I give Bobcat Electric an OUTSTANDING Grade all the way around!!

Called Bobcat, Bob answered promptly (no receptionist or voicemail) said was able to come out for an estimate next day. Following day Bob arrived on time, gave me an estimate, and was able to have work done SAME DAY!!! 2 man crew showed up in 1 hour and did a GREAT job. They did top notch work, insisted wearing boot covers in the house, stuck to the quote (despite the wall having some 1985 challenges), and cleaned up like they weren't even here. I can't speak highly enough of these guys. All three guys I dealt with were beyond professional, nice, and what was so refreshing to see these days: they loved what they do.

Amazing customer service, knowledge, and professionalism! Had an issue with our residential panel and contacted Bobcat Electrical based off the Angieslist reviews. All the A ratings are definitely accurate! After a same morning response, Bob determined the issue was related to the furnace and not the panel. As there has been electrical issues in the past, the time has come to replace the panel anyway and I will be using BE to do the job! Thank you Bob, I?ve found my new electrician and look forward to getting the estimate for that project. Excellent experience!

Bob called back 1 day after I called him and left a message. He came out to give an "estimate", and said he would be able to do the work the same day. After he made a short trip to Home Depot he completed the job. He was courteous, pleasant , efficient and professional. My studio was toasty and ready to be used in record time ! Before he left, he gave me an estimate for other jobs I needed done. All in all, it was a great experience. I had a excellent job done at a fare price. I shall call Bob back to do more work as soon as I can schedule it.

Bob responded within an hour of my first call when I asked about his availability to come and diagnose the problem with our small in-the-wall heater in our basement bedroom. He was able to come within a couple of days and it was obvious he knew what he was doing. He told me about the uniqueness of the product which was installed by the previous house owner but that he knew how to get a hold of a new motor. I appreciated his professionalism and timeliness. A week or so later the order arrived and he came right away and installed it. The first visit was free, and the parts and labor for his second visit came to less than $275, which I was pleased with as I had anticipated it might cost more. The work was done quickly and we now have a warm downstairs bedroom again! We will definitely be contacting Bob for any future electric work and recommend others to give him a call too.

What had all of us scratching our heads, Bob figured out in a few minutes. He provided a couple of suggestions for a fix, and then went with the one we wanted. He was polite, professional, friendly, wore booties (so important!), and the cost was very reasonable. We were also impressed by his fast response, and willingness to work around our hectic schedule. Bob came out and looked at an old house we are remodeling. He was very thorough and helpful on what things we could fix and what things we absolutely needed to fix. He gave us a very fair bid and then came back a few days later and performed all the repairs. He even found a few extra issues that he tackled at no charge. Thanks for your honest and fair work Bob.

Bob was super professional. From the beginning he said knob and tube was ok as long as it was safe which I appreciated because I felt he wasn't trying to sell me unnecessary work. I wanted it replaced anyway to upgrade the home. He did a thorough estimate, with a lot of detail. He and one helper replaced all the line from the attic, replacing a web of wiring that my inspector had called a "mad-scientist wiring" when I bought the house. He made all the circuits make sense (previously they appeared added on as previous owners whim determined). He avoided all holes in the lath and plaster. He put in in-line smoke detectors. He asked me about placements and made suggestions that were helpful. He followed through on everything down to the inspection. He was super neat and careful if he had to move anything. He was timely and communicated well by phone and email, The job was extensive but it was done in a week. I couldn't have been more satisfied.

Excellent. Showed up right on time. Replace the old Federal Pacific panel. Explained in detail what he was doing. Answered all questions I had. I elected to have an upgraded commercial grade Cutler Hammer panel installed so it cost a bit more. All work was done in a clean professional manner. If I have any additional electrical work done I will use Bobcat.

Very prompt on estimating, scheduling, and following through with the agreed to work and price. Very patient in explaining what they were doing and how the codes related to the work. Set up panel so it could easily be converted to a subpanel in the future based on planned upgrades.

They were great! It was quick, it took about 4 hours.

On Tuesday I was informed by my tenants that the company had removed the power meter from the side of the house and cut the wires for power. I call Bob at Bobcat Electric, who immediately answered his phone (a huge plus!) I discussed what I knew and he told me he could take care of it the next day. He never asked for a deposit, he listened and was very respectful. Bob went to the power company the next morning, filled out the permits and whatever else required. Donald from Bobcat, went to the residence that morning to fix the problems. Bob kept me extremely informed on what they found and the situation, via cell and instant messages. It was apparent that my renters had hooked up large fuses to the power panel inside the garage and ran power lines to the power meter, which is illegal and very dangerous. Thanks to Donald taking pictures while doing his job, we could see not only the evidence, but also the evidence that my renters did to try and cover up their illegal activity. I went over to the rental to talk with Donald and pay him for their service. I was greeted kindly and respectively, Donald went over his findings, showed me what he found and also suspected on what was going on at the rental. Without his and Bob's help and knowledge, I would never have known my home's attics were being used as a marijuana operation! I bet they wouldn't have taken this job if they did! Regardless, I am extremely blessed and thankful I chose Bobcat Electric. I've recommended them on all my social networks and highly, HIGHLY, recommend them to anyone in need of electrical help at a very reasonable price. I hope I never need electrical services again, but if I do I definitely will be calling Bobcat. They are more than welcome to come for dinner anytime because these are the kind of people you want to have as friends!

I first met Donald, from Bobcat Electric, when the contractor (ServPro) doing the dry-out of our flooded house called them in. I was impressed with Donald's professionalism, polite manner, and knowledge of his job. He fixed the wiring so that ServPro would be able to attach and run their many machines needed for drying out our house. He also made sure that the flooded light fixtures and outlets were safe at the beginning of ServPro's project, and at the end. When I needed to hire an electrician to install the 50AMP circuit for our electric car, I didn't have to think twice about who I wanted to hire. The owner of Bobcat Electric, Bob, came out and give me an estimate for running a line, in conduit, from the electrical panel to a wall approximately 25' away, and the mounting of an electrical box and the correct face plate for the model of charger I had ordered. Donald came out and performed the work, and I was able to mount the charger (when it arrived) exactly where I wanted to mount it. I called Bobcat Electric a few days ago to arrange for my latest project. Bob gave me an appointment for today, and, once again, Donald came out to perform the work. I had two separate light switches in the bathroom, for lights in two locations. I wanted the light switches combined into one switch, so that I could turn on both lights at the same time. I also wanted a timer installed for the overhead heat lights, so that there would be no danger of them being left turned on for too long, and I wanted a new spring-wound switch for the bathroom exhaust fan. All of the switches had been in individual single-gang boxes, and the wall looked cluttered. Donald changed the bathroom lights, fan, and heater to be together in a three-gang box, so everything looks a LOT neater now. While he was here, Donald took a look at a combo light/outlet that my husband and I had tried to install in the furnace closet. My husband and I hadn't been able to make it work right, but Donald had it fixed correctly in no time. I totally trust the personnel and the work of Bobcat Electric, and I'm sure I'll be calling them, again, when I'm ready to change out my electrical panel.

This is the third home improvement project that we have had Bobcat Electric do for us. First was a new electrical panel for our backup generator, next was a new fan,heater,light combo for Bathroom and today he installed power and lights in our new Tuff Shed. All projects have turned out great. I've recommended he him to others with the same results. I will surely use him on our next project. Thanks Bobcat Electric.

Despite being close to Christmas, they were prompt and punctual when appointment made. When Don came out he systematically started with simple to more complex problems. Very patient with my questions and explained everything to my satisfaction. After going thru at least 10 outlets and switches, taking down ceiling fan, climbing up in the attic and trying to figure out this house's screwy wiring system, he found the problem in my dining room ceiling light fixture. All wires were fried due to improper wire connection- aluminum to copper. And the light was still working. It took over 2 hrs to find problem and he was aware of how long it was taking and did check with me about continuing the search. I would definitely hire this company again for my electrical needs in the future.

They did a good job. They got the permit. It wasn’t an easy job because it was an old house. They were pretty good. They weren’t perfect.

Amazing work ethic, knowledge and integrity. They provided an estimate and encountered unexpected difficulties that resulted in the job taking twice as long as planned but only charged the original estimate. They were unable to perform the retiring through the crawl space and came up with a different option behind duct work in a closet - a frustrating and difficult job. The chandelier was heavy and had to be installed on a 16' ceiling. The existing box was insufficient to hold the weight of the chandelier and had to be replaced. The installer was persistent and professional. Great job!
