+ -1 moreBarney was referred to me by an electrician who helped me with some small jobs (and then moved to Oregon). He came, scoped out the work, asked questions about my preferences, and came back with an estimate. He set his saws up out in my garage and installed the crown molding in long, glossy sections, not chopped up. It is gorgeous and I am very pleased with it. I also like my bookcases very much! Barney is so pleasant I almost regretted the completion of the job. He cleaned up at the end of each day and there was no delay; everything was done in a few days and he was gone. Oh, and he did the minor handyman tasks (picture hanging and sink faucet install) in trade for some bookcases I no longer needed after he built in the ones I now appreciate so much.
Description of Work: I wanted bookcases built into my office, and Barney Zauss did a terrific job, creating floor to ceiling bookcases on two walls that turn a corner. I loved his design. In addition he installed crown molding in my bedroom, office and bath, he installed a bathroom faucet assembly, and he hung several pictures. According to his business card Barney's specialty is hardwood flooring: sand, finish, recoat, and trim. His business card also mentions tiling, but he is a man of many skills. He told me he has built custom homes in Utah. He has been in the Yakima area for about a year, having moved up from Utah, and his telephone number (cell) has a Utah area code, but he is definitely in Yakima and available for work!
