Description of Work: You may see a very few negative comments from others about this company but I challenge you to read my review and realize that there will always be a few that can never be made to be happy. The positive comments far outweighed the negatives in our opinion. I researched different local companies and requested bids. I was very clear that I needed a bid at the least expensive option as we plan on selling in 5 years or so. Another reputable company did not listen and gave me very expensive bids on what I'm sure is very excellent equipment. Joe at Thermex gave me a very fair bid right at the beginning with installation of equipment from a very well known manufacturer. The other company came down in their price to match Joe's bid but I appreciate those who give me fair quotes up front. They ordered the equipment and installed it the day after it was received. Thermex's installer was very professional, courteous, on time and very friendly. We felt so comfortable with him that we left the house numerous times throughout the day. The new furnace is far superior to the old unit we had. I had no idea that even an 80% efficient model that we selected could give us so much warmth. I stopped in to pay my bill and all that were involved in our purchase recognized us, stopped to say hi and asked if we were happy. We highly recommend them!

Description of Work: I'm under contract to sell my home and buyer requested repair required the blower in the heating unit to be fixed. The Tech came out on May 29th and serviced my heat and air unit and determined that it needed a new blower. He took the blower out as it had to be factory ordered but would be in by Thurs or Friday. I didn't receive a call or word on Thursday or Friday (May 31st or June 1st) and had to call them. Comments were made about the best time of year for not needed the heating unit due to weather. However the A/C doesn't work without the heat unit being functional and turned out the weekend was warmer then anticipated. I was disappointed I had to do all the calling and figuring out where my blower was. I didn't come in on Thurs or Fri. It didn't get put in and repaired until the next Tuesday 5th of June. A hot weekend and 2 business days after the latest date given. Again I'm in the middle of selling my home and buyer required repairs being met. The day after the completed job I heard a new noise in the unit but hadn't determined the consistancy as May weather doesn't require consistant air flow and I'm focusing on my move. I went to lay down on June 12th and the noise was consistant and loud enough that when I called the Thermex receptionist and put the phone up she said "oh yeah, I hear that, it sounds like a fan banging". I told her I heard it in the upper part of the unit and it echoed through the vent. She said she would send out the same tech the next AM and call me before he got here. The Tech came out before 9AM with no call beforehand. Went and we listened to the unit. He determined it was vibration and went out to his van to write me up a bill for this visit. I took great offense to this as I had never heard this particular noise before he had done his work which took longer then what was said and cost close to $500.00. The noise was loud enough for his own receptionist to question if it wasn't a fan knocking. (because of this I can't be sure in this moment the problem won't come back or is truly fixed.) Regardless if it was just vibration or not there was no way for me to know and it was a new noise from their work. It is a slap in the face to be expected to pay yet again for a 5 minute visit to recheck a costly work that this company did. I WOULD MAKE SURE YOU GET IN WRITING THEY GUARANTEE THEIR WORK AND THAT THEY DO NOT CHARGE IF NEW NOISE OR PROBLEM ARRISES. Anyone treating customers like this does not deserve an A or near. Both the receptionist and the tech in demeanor were polite enough. however another inspection was coming to make sure all repairs were done and it should not be left up to the customer to 'guess' if the new noise is a problem or not at EXTRA COST! Also on the very first visit on May 29th I had an electrician and the heating tech at my home at the same time troubleshooting. It took this heating technician more then 10-15 minutes to even turn on my unit. He'd claimed he'd overrode the system so it shouldn't need to be turned on at the panel but couldn't seem to 'turn on' my unit. I got anxiouis as it had been working just fine and for him to be down in the basement for a goodly amount of time saying he couldn't even get it to start up was disturbing. The electrician confirmed he was working live on an outlet not related to the heating unit so electricity was going to the unit. I asked the technician to humor me when I turned the air on at the panel and sure enough the unit turned on. It is amazing how much I'll overlook and forget until one too many slaps in the face of incompetance. Charging me what should have been a re-check was one blow too many. I refused a bill from the tech today but not sure what will come in the mail and what I will have to fight down the line for

Description of Work: Responded immediately to concern about soot build-up on wall areas. Inspector determined it was not furnace-related, but the result of burning candles. We did have them do thorough cleaning of ducts and vents, which hadn't been done since we moved in 7 years ago.

Description of Work: My gas furnace would not come on, made some noise but no heat called thermex valley lady that answered phone was very nice. Repairman was there within 45 min found the problem with my furnace, the ignitor was broken. He had the part on his van installed and i was heating again within 30 mins.
