+ -1 moreThe sofa bed was damaged by another contractor doing other work. We had used Dave & LJ's before and thought we would see if they could help to get our sofabed restored to its original condition. The sofabed was no longer available, and we had special ordered it in the first instance. Dave and LJ's went the extra mile to accomplish our desires.
Description of Work: Obtained and installed a factory kit to restore our damaged sofabed to its original condition..

+ 0 moreIt went well, only one error had to be corrected. One screw used in installing the dinette was to long and it caused problems with the slide out. LJ corrected the issue as soon as I was able to get the motor home back to him.
Description of Work: I would like to dispute a previous review about Dave and LJ. I just had a motor home remodel that consisted of them removing the old TV dog house from above the dashboard and moving the TV (now flat panel) to across from where the couch used to be, so now you don't have to crane your neck to the left to see it. I also had the build a new dinette for us so that a person could sleep there when needed. And finally I had them remove the old couch that wouldn't sleep anyone and replace it with a dual recliner. Now we can use the motor home in comfort. The workmanship was top notch, the cabinetry work was fantastic, and matching the current wood work was spot on. There was no issue getting the quote and getting good suggestions on what we could do with our current layout. I'm very happy with the results.

+ -1 moreOverall, I am irritated that I put half of a valuable Saturday into this and never heard back from Dave with an apology. In the end, I am glad to learn how their business runs before I wrote a check.
Description of Work: After a good phone conversation with LJ, we drove up to Dave and LJ's with our many photos on our laptop to discuss and get an estimate for several RV modifications for our motorhome one Saturday. We met with brother Dave, who listed our many modifications and contact information and promised to send me an estimate within a few days. A couple weeks passed and I didn't hear anything, so I phoned him. He apologized and promised to get right on it. I sent him an email with more details. I never heard back from him the second time. I can only assume that our small business was not substantial enough (new carpet, window valences, chair reupholstery and a custom area rug) to get them to pay attention.
