They did an excellent job. They laid this all out on their computer and showed us how it will match together. When they brought it in, it all fit exactly and they had to do only a little bit of touch-up to fit the pieces exactly. I’ve had granite work done before, but they were the best.
Description of Work: I have used Venetian Stone Works‎. They did a large kitchen with counters and granite countertops around all four sides. They also did a piece of granite for the vanity in the bathroom and fireplace mantelpiece.

The Venetian template software makes a world of difference to show how the granite slab with all the variable patterns actually looks on your plan, and also provides a mean to maximize usage of the slab. In our case, we were able to use 95% of two slabs not only for our kitchen counter top but also for a wet bar and 3 shelves in the living room. Otherwise it is a shame of wasting granite at $40/foot.Venetian's estimate was comparable to other granite fabricators and their process was very professional and enjoyable. The quality was excellent, that is seams not visible and granite movement well laid out.

After we agreed on a quote on remanent stone and installation date and timeframe for our bathroom countertops Venetian Stone Works left my family hanging by a thread. We called them several times before the installation date to confirm it because we needed to demolish our old tops and with a 2 year-old and a 3 month-old we needed to make sure installation was going to happen smoothly as we cannot be without running water in our bathrooms for several days. Well, despite getting confirmation, the day of the installation they did not show up and it was not until I called to follow up that they told me "they didn't have enough material for our back/sidesplashes." I felt coerced because it looked like they wanted me to pay more for our order. Really? You don't know how to do math AND you don't tell me until I call the day is supposed to happen despite having called you 24 hrs prior to confirm there we no issues for us to go ahead with demolition? We also arranged care for our little sons not to be in the house for nothing. I am still trying to sort this out with Venetian Stoneworks because we paid them a portion when they started the job. Let's hope this ends better. I will post an update with resolution. (hopefully!.) Stay tuned. Update: They ended up coming 4 hours late on the date of our appointment, and with incomplete materials, backsplashes were missing and 1 of the 4 sinks was the wrong model. After many hours of work and back and forth they finished the installation at 6 pm with my children at home because I did not have care for them in the afternoon (it was supposed to be from 8 am to noon!.) The counters came up nice, however one backsplash was cut with the wrong height but we were so over then that decided to accept the ones they had. Also, they scratched my hardwood floor on my guest bathroom with leftover stone pieces from opening the faucet holes and once faucet hole in our master bath was not evenly cut (8 inch faucet spread with the left hole too close to the center.) They did not charge me more in the end, but after all the pain we endured they should at least offered a discount to make things right. My final recommendations is: use this company to buy your stone, they have amazing variety and quality, as we as a great remanent yard, and competitive prices, BUT do your installation with someone else as their project management skills leave a lot to be desired.

We purchased beautiful granite from Denali. Venetian staff installed the granite in our kitchen and bath. Two pieces of the kitchen granite were installed BACKWARDS, so the flow doesn't match up. Many phone calls and emails went unanswered....over many weeks. After finally speaking with the owner, Prem Gnanarajah, we received a credit. However, I would have preferred to have it installed correctly. (Go figure!!) We now have a 25 inch crack in the kitchen granite from the window sill to the counter edge. Mark and Chad came out to fix it...but it looks exactly the same now as it did before they came. No calls to find out if we were pleased. Even owner Prem, who said he would call to make sure we were pleased failed to call. It took me to email him in order to get a response. His response was that he was told we were pleased with the repair....What repair? There wasn't any!!! We are not pleased!!!! We hired a stone restorer to look at the crack. He said it was obvious that a drimmel tool was not used in the 'repair.' At this point, I do not want to have anything else to do with Venetian. We are not pleased with their workmanship. The granite is beautiful, but the whole experience has not been a good one for us. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Jan Ott

I researched and visited a half dozen fabricators of granite counter tops. I was impressed with the technology they employ to measure and cut granite counter tops. They are more precise and more creative with curves/corners without charging more. I received a number of quotes and initially they were in the middle for pricing. They lowered their quote to match the lowest quote I had. I probably would have gone with them at their original quote but the lower price was nice. They met the schedule they gave and the installation went smoothly. The granite I picked hides imperfections well. 2 weeks after installation, I ran into a couple of small imperfections in the stone. they promptly came out and filled in the imperfections. I recommend this company to any one interested in granite counter tops.

I worked with Jeremy and was very pleased with his professionalism, his responsiveness and his willingness to take time to show me the details of how the granite is processed from the quarry to the finished product that is installed. He graciously accommodated my changes throughout the decision-making process, even though they meant a number of contract rewrites. Venetian Stone Works has access to a large inventory of beautiful granite designs and I'm delighted with my choice. I especially appreciated their use of a machine that allows them to make a digital template without having to remove the old counters weeks prior to installation of the new ones. Consequently, removal and installation were done on the same day, as promised, in 4 hours and there was very little inconvenience to me. The installers were respectful of my space, meticulous in their attention to detail and thoroughly cleaned the area when they were finished. I would highly recommend this company, and especially Jeremy, to anyone considering replacing countertops. .
Description of Work: The old formica countertops and back splash in my kitchen were replaced with 3cm granite. The removal of the old ones was done with minimal damage to the walls which was covered by the new installation. A new under mount cast iron sink was also installed.

Overall the final product was of high quality but service was less than ideal. We originally sought a quote through a remodeling firm but were referred to these guys who are the sub-contractors for countertops due to the small size of the job. There were punctuality issues at every stage of the job. First, we scheduled a consultation with a rep, but they didn't have an opening for 3 weeks. When the date arrived and no one showed up for the appointment, we called the rep unsuccessfully and then eventually reached someone at the office. We were told that a family evergency had come up and the rep could not make it. An attempt to reach us by phone was apparently unsuccessful since it was a weekend and all they had was a work number. OK I'll give them that one. Another rep came out that day and gave us a rundown of the countertops they carry and described the process to us. We scheduled a templating date for a week later. This time the technician failed to make the appt on time and did not call. When I reached the office, they assured me he was on the way. The templater eventually showed up 40 minutes later saying that he got caught in traffic. We then made a deposit and booked an installation date for the next week. This time the installers showed up 1.5 hrs late, but only after I called the office to find out that they had been assigned to briefly help out another crew on the way to my job. Once again no one called to notify me ahead of time for the late arrival...when I had taken time off work to be there to greet the installers. Most of the work did get done on the installation date though. An unexpected problem came up during demolition. Some of the supporting surface for the countertop was not flush (garden window extension) so we had to come up with a fix to accomodate that. The installers and rep collectively came up with a creative solution - to create a slightly raised design feature for that part of the countertop. It required additional fabrication at the shop which would delay completion by a couple of days to allow for curing of the laminating process. Once completed the modification looked really nice and fit in well with the rest of the countertop. We were not charged for the additional work. Overall the quality of both the material and fabrication was high. People at each step of the job were professional, courteous and knowlegeable. I would have easily given a higher rating if not for the punctuality issues.
