The fire that broke out lasted only seconds before I turned off the power to the unit that caught fire but it sent soot and smoke throughout most of the first floor. Superior cleaned my first floor rooms as if the fire had been much more extensive. The detailed extent of the cleaning process was amazing. Jerry was the project manager and he set in motion all the details of the work to be done. He is especially friendly and helpful in explaining what would be done. He also came by to see if his crew needed anything. Superior sent out a crew of four women and they showed up on time and immediately got to work. They did an amazing job. I have never seen anyone who was more thorough and detailed in what they do. Bernie, Wendy, Kelsey, Rosalina and on the second day, Vicky, are perfectionists in the best way. I was very impressed with the very small details they attended to as they cleaned my family room, kitchen and living room/dining room. They started with the ceilings and worked down to the floor. Every inch was cleaned. I could go on and on about how and what they did. They worked all day and came back the next day to finish up. Another crew will be coming to clean my carpets and furniture. I very highly recommend Superior Cleaning and Restoration and the women who did such an outstanding job.
Description of Work: They cleaned up electrical wire insulation soot from a small fire that broke out in a major component of my audio/visual system. It was a fairly small amount of smoke but it sent the soot all over the first floor of my home. The soot is greasy and would have made a mess of anything it was on if just wiped off by me because it would have smeared instead of wiping off.

The moisture was removed from the area and the work was completed in a timely way at the quoted cost. We felt that the crews were careless in not avoiding additional damage to our property. They soiled the wet carpet with dirty shoes and tore up the carpet in a way that made reseaming extremely difficult. Their attitude was that and quot;you can get the carpet cleaned.and quot;
Description of Work: Superior was recommended by my insurance company after I reported the need to restore two rooms in our basement following a water leak. They installed blowers and a dehumidifier after removing wet wallboard and lifting carpets until the area was dry.

I vacated the unit very early in the a.m. I wasn't able to return until around 8:00 a.m. and found Superior was already removing carpet in the units they were able to access. I left my key with them and came back a few times throughout the day to check progress. Superior's crew was knowledgeable and helpful, I had many questions. My last visit that day was around 4:00 p.m., they had removed all carpet except for 1 room and had fans and dehumidifiers running throughout. This is my first, and hopefully last, flood experience. I never knew how helpless you feel when something like this happens, plus the inconvenience and disruption of everyday life is beyond explanation. I was grateful Superior was there quickly and got everything set up within 24 hours. I couldn't stay in the unit during remediation and once that was complete a construction company came in to do repairs. I was so impressed with Superior's water remediation that I employed them to pack up my furniture and premise contents and store them at their storage facility. I ended up not being able to move back in for just shy of 8 weeks. Jeff Day was the Project Manager who coordinated both the water remediation and removal of my premise contents. If he wasn't onsite during remediation he was easy to get hold of, and he coordinated a seamless removal, storage, and return of my belongings.
Description of Work: The retention pond in the condo complex overflowed & flooded the ground floor units. Superior was used by the property manager for water remediation in the affected units.

I wish we had never called them. When I made the initial contact, Anthony was very friendly and told me about all of the wonderful things his crew would do to assess and mitigate any water damage with the intention of preventing mold and mildew. The crew (2 guys) arrived later that afternoon. They checked for moisture and did find some in one of the walls. They removed the baseboards, drilled a few holes so air could get in, then installed two big blowers and a dehumidifier. At my request, one of them went under the house to check for moisture. When I asked him about moisture under the cabinets, he said it wouldn't be a problem because the cabinets are not totally flush with the concrete below. It's a wood-frame house...no concrete under there. When I asked about water being trapped between the floating laminate floor and the wood sub floor, he said he though the floor was linoleum (it's not) but that it shouldn't be a problem. This is quite contrary to what I had read online. Anyway, there were there for about 45 minutes, then left. We were instructed to leave the equipment on until they came back in 3 days. Within minutes of them leaving, the dehumidifier malfunctioned and I could not make it work. This is about the time the big snow hit....so getting anyone to come back to fix it wasn't going to happen. When Anthony called the next day to see how things were going, my wife told him about the dehumidifier. She was told no one would be able to come as their trucks were snowed in. No biggie. After a few days, everything seemed quite dry so we unplugged the equipment. Due to the snow (not their fault) the equipment pick-up appointment kept getting delayed. Eventually the roads were clear enough that they could come. They however came at the totally opposite time of the day they were supposed to come, which meant they had to call and reschedule...again. My insurance company reached me a week or two later to let me know that the bill had come, and it was going to be $612. I nearly died laughing. I called on two separate occasions and left messages for Anthony to call me so we could discuss the bill. After a few days of not hearing back, I went to the office. Of course he wasn't there, but another office person was helpful and got me an itemized invoice. I indicated the problems I had with that on a copy of the invoice. The gentleman told me he would give it to Anthony and send him an e-mail as well that I had been in and needed to talk to him. I still did not get a call. So, I waited a couple more days, then called again. This time Anthony was there. He acknowledged receipt of my phone messages and that I had come to the office, but that he hadn't yet had time to look into the issue. He went and got the file and we went over it on the phone. I said I was unwilling to pay for the dehumidifier as it malfunctioned shortly after it was installed. He had the nerve to insinuate that I was making this up saying, "if that really IS what happened..." when we were speaking about the issue. I let him know that my wife told him that on the phone and that if he disagreed, he was calling both of us liars. The dehumidifier was taken off the bill. Next, I was not willing to pay for them to come and pick up the equipment...especially when they missed their appointment. They wanted to charge an hour's worth of time for that when the place is less than 30 minutes round-trip from where we live. Ridiculous. I let him know that I fully believed he was trying to pad the bill since it was an insurance claim. His silence spoke volumes. I let him know that since the bill was less than our deductible, this wasn't going to be an insurance claim and that I wasn't going to be taken advantage of. We finally agreed upon a much more reasonable price. That was weeks ago. I still haven't received the revised bill in the mail. I also still have holes in my wall with baseboards needing to be put back on... This place is a joke. Avoid avoid avoid.
Description of Work: Came to our home, used moisture meters to determine if walls and floors of laundry room had moisture in them due to a sink that overflowed. They installed some drying equipment and checked in the crawl space under the laundry room to see if there was any damage. This company was recommended to us by our insurance company.

After hearing the excessive quote for doing the job, I proceeded with clean up on my own. Service is normally covered under home-owner's insurance, but this clean up would fall under the deductible. The company originally charged for a service call and 2 hours service for $330. I noted they only stayed 1/2 hour. I further thought that the service call should include the minimal work that was done. After some negotiation, they waived $90 off the bill. They charged 180.80+ tax to come out after hours. Actually getting out of the van and looking at something was $30+tax additional. Pricing was described to me as the "industry standard". I have no opinion on their ability to actually mitigate the water damage, but they appear competent. The manager was professional in negotiations, although initially slow in modifying the bill. The men on site were marginally professional.
Description of Work: Company came out to examine damage from a busted supply line to the dishwasher. The mishap left hundreds of gallons of hot water on our garage floor. The men were fairly prompt in coming out on a Saturday evening, examined the damaged and said $700-800 would be required to dry the area.

Everything went well. They arrived on time and began setting up for the asbestos abatement. They set up a barrier around the work area and to keep any stray asbestos fibers within the containment, to be filtered by their air handling system. When finished removing all the asbestos, they cleaned the area and loaded all the asbestos materials and took them away.
Description of Work: In order to have my boiler replaced, I needed to have the asbestos removed from around the boiler tank. They also removed some asbestos containing materials from around the boiler.
