We really appreciated the staff at Side-pro. Troy and Dave, the main two sales people we dealt with were very responsive. There's an online calendar to help us see when our project would be completed as the weather in the fall can be unpredictable and thus timeframes constantly in flux. Huge kuddos to the main point of contact once the job was started, Chris, and especially Ricardo, and his crew of two other guys. There was a miscommunication between Troy and myself and Chris was able to make it right for us, and he was also very responsive and in constant communication with us as the project went along. Ricardo did an amazing job of re-trimming out around our front door and window to make it look more modern and updated. We're now just waiting for paint, which may take a few months pending weather and the waitlist, but we're beyond thrilled with how it all turned out. Turns out they've done a number of other jobs in the neighborhood and they all look great. We would definitely use them again. I couldn't rate the cost, however, because we liked the company well enough we didn't really shop around.

The representative was very prompt and responsive and wrote up an excellent, thorough and very detailed proposal that addressed all my desired improvements separately so that I could assemble a package I could afford. However, the total cost was more than I had budgeted for and, instead of going ahead in a piecemeal fashion or financing the project, I chose to wait a year until I could afford to pay cash for the complete project.

It went GREAT!!!!!! From Calvin to the 2 man crew that did the work, Ashley and Duane. These people make sure everything is taken care of. Dropped off the siding, the portapotty and the dumpster and then guys began work the next day. They crew worked every day and if they needed to leave early they told us. We were the only job that this crew was working on. Clean up was great..i wish I could bottle this group for my kitchen remodel.

salesman was very informative, professional and not pushy at all. Would have used if we hadn't already spoken in detail with another company.

This contractor has great reviews, so I don't doubt they do good quality work. They could however, work on their professionalism. Following up quickly on e-mails seems like a critical skill for a company that advertises online. It also would be a good service to their customers to accurately indicate their service area. The Angie's list ad does state that they don't service "Island Counties". Perhaps Pierce county is lumped in there.

I wanted to change the siding from Vinyl to Hardieplank. I filled in the request for a quote on Side Pro's website for two multi family units in Ballard. 3 floors, 2000 sq ft /floor. No response. I followed up with a call one week later and only got their voicemail - left a message - No response. Extremely poor customer service and responsiveness. If they can't be bothered with a job that is probably $80-100k, then don't waste your time trying to get a $15 k job done.

Called them today (one week later), they didn't seem concerned about the lack of response and then asked me for square footage of job....bottom line, they don't do partial or small jobs. Update: They emailed me today stating that they are having email issues. I responded letting them know I had called yesterday and was told my job was not big enough and they only do full siding jobs. Person that answered did not seemed concerned but did offer up another contractor that may do the job.

Delightful to work with. Got the work done in a few days, cleaned up, hauled away. Looked great. Appreciated their professionalism. Plan on using them to replace the front siding in 2015 or 2016.

They were professional and quick. They did a great job. They were good to work with. They were honest. It was a great experience. They were very professional. They were there earlier or on time. They worked the whole day. They cleaned up at the end of everyday. They were very diligent not to make a mess in my house. They took the time to mask the tape and sheet off the entire house so that the entire house didn't become a mess. They were conversant. They were pleasant. They explained what was going on. The project manager kept me of the price and everything that was going on.

Side-Pro is an amazing company with quality people. We bought this house which is built in 1942 so the outside paint has some minor lead on older coats. We were thinking of replacing the siding instead of removing all the paint and repainting. Calvin Osborn from Side-Pro came in and did a thorough analysis of our siding. He suggested how much it would cost to replace it but to our amazement suggested that the Siding was in perfect shape and given that its old solid wood siding - there was no reason to replace it. He even suggested some Painting companies who can take care of the lead based repaint under code. He suggested that if in the future - the siding itself starts cracking - it maybe a good idea to replace it. How many companies do you find today who do this???? very professional. the work was fantanstic. they paid attention to all of the details and made sure we were 100% satisfied with the work. The project started about 3-4 weeks after we had agreed, but it worked fine in the end. They completed the work in the amount of time they said they would.

The appt. was fine the follow up never happened.

Very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Decided to paint to seal edges at this time. Would use this companyin the future if delamination of LP siding becomes worse. Painting should be adequate if thoroughly covered. Siding has not failed bad enough to require siding at this time.

He was very open and honest and even offered to walk me through a step by step process. He pulled up my house on Google Earth and gave a rough estimate based on what he saw on the map. It gave me agood idea just by looking at a picture. I was very impressed.

It was a really big job and they did an excellent job. The quality of job they did was almost brand new. The little things I would not have noticed when we had our siding before. They boxed off our garage. In the back of our house where we had our air conditioning that was coming out, they completely covered that and boxed it out. They washed all our gutters. We had our windows shutters. They contacted somebody and they custom-made our shutters. It looked really nice. They started out really strongly, they communicated when they were going to start the job and when the trucks were going to come in but when the bad weather came and we got nothing from them, no response. We were writing up emails and calling. Communication started breaking down and not having good status update and having no place to go when something was scheduled. I think this is the only negative thing to this company. The owner of the company came out to see the job and we gave our feedback to him. He admitted that the communication was not that great and they were doing things to help alleviate that in the future. They did a spectacular job. I would recommend them to anybody and I would use them again in the future.

I requested the highest quality siding which increased my cost. They have also made an arbor and shutters for the house. I am very pleased with the results.

They were outstanding. They actually didn’t do work for me. I haven't tried any work performed through. I got the quote from them in May of 2013 and it’s between $20,000 to $25,000 for total siding replacement in my home. They are just very responsive, followed up on any question or concern I had, timely. They said they’re going to be here they were here and said they going to get a quote back by a certain time and they did. They took time to explain the process. You got to go to their showroom and specially see the product that would had been installed. Definitely, although, I had fixed the problem and so I don’t have need for them but if I did I would turn to them, yeah, definitely.

The last bits of detail work and the follow up on damages that occurred while doing the work dragged on for months. The prep for painting was poor.

I have been meaning to write this for some time. I was not overly impressed with the estimator. Didn?t find him professional but would make him out as green. When I asked for a meeting to be sure of locations of material, port-a-potty, power and water shut offs I was told it would move my start up date. I had concerns of the impact to my tenants. I thought this to be BS but we had the meeting. Met with the estimator and QA guy. Got the calls from their office moving the start date out further and further. Started with the abatement kid who, according to my neighbor, said he just threw the board directly on the ground. I paid for abatement. Three siders did eventually show. They were never informed as to all the items of the previous meeting. Good thing I showed up to help them out. They put an extra third man on the job because of my timeline. They later fired him (longer story). The crew of two worked hard and I liked them. Whenever I found an issue the lead already knew about it and had a plan to correct it. I liked their QA guy too. He also found issues and had the crew in some cases re-do the areas in question. They weren?t the cleanest crew but the two of them were hard workers. I did need to be at the job twice a day to keep an eye on things. The problem is they kept moving the completion date out and that impacted my painters. I also had to cancel my vacation plans. In the end the job looked good but there was a punch list that seemed to take forever to finish. Which move back my painters further. Also the cleanup crew had to be called back out to finish the job. End results the building looks great but I would never use nor recommend Side Pro to anyone. This is not based upon the basic work quality but the scheduling, and assorted foul ups.

Excellent job from beginning to end. Calvin (estimator) was on time, answered all of my questions and even took photos of the chimney cap before the job started (at my request). Ronda coordinated the job from the office -- again great service. My questions were answered promptly and completely. Ronda also kept me up to date regarding scheduling since we were working around weather issues. Even though this was a small job, they worked with me as if it was a major one. They also accommodated my need (due to CCRs in my neighborhood) to not have loud equipment running before 10 am. The workers on site worked quickly and efficiently. The completed job was professional and job site clean up was great. The painter came on a separate visit and it was completed within a short time. I will be looking to talk with Side-Pro again when I paint my house next year. They did a wonderful job.

Calvin came out and took information to provide a siding quote. Said we would have it by Wednesday, 10/2/13. Had not received an estimate by 10/4/13 and emailed Calvin. No response. Called Calvin Monday 10/7/13. Received a voicemail from Calvin that he had sent it and requested I confirm the email address. I left the email address on the voicemail and also indicated that I had emailed him on 10/4/13. Never received the estimate.

It's been frustrating. I reached out to them via AL on 9/8/2013 explaining what I need done and even attached some pictures of what I have and what I want. I didn't hear from them. I reached out again on 9/11 to see if my original message got lost in the shuffle. I had read a lot of really great reviews about them so I wanted to give them a chance. I still didn't hear back from them. I was starting to wonder if they weren't getting my messages via AL. So I contacted them directly explaining that I am trying to give the the benefit of a doubt that there were possibly problems with AL and that is why I hadn't heard back. I got a response in a couple of hours from their head guy. He said that they in fact did not get my messages through AL and that I should hear from their estimator Calvin by the end of the day. Calvin called and we had chatted about the project. I asked if they do small projects and he said that when it is slow they will but it was still busy season and they were quite booked up. I totally understood. But then he came up with a possible solution. He was going to come out and look at our project and if it was as small as I was really explaining it then he would send out his crew that does patch up jobs. I thought that sounded perfect. He said they are $55 (ish) per hour and even if it took them all day which he did not believe it would then it would only cost around $500-$600 plus materials. I was thrilled with his solution and price. We set up a date that he was going to come and check out the project. 9/18 was the day of the estimate. Calvin was supposed to be there at 12noon. I got a call from Sidepro saying that they lost my number (then how were they calling me??) and that there was a scheduling snafu with Calvin so they are sending Sam. They just realized the scheduling problem so Sam is hurrying to get there asap but he will be late. I was fine with that. I was happy that they called to tell me. Sam shows up a little frazzled from hurrying to me. He had mentioned that he was the owner's kid and that he was new to this estimating stuff. No worries I told him. So we chatted about the project and he showed me some material that they would use. I mentioned that it was cool that this crew could come out for $55(ish) and knock this out. Sam looked at me and told me that it is $68. Not $55. I was puzzled. Whatever. It was frustrating but still a decent deal. Sam took measurements and said 3 times that he would have a quote in 24 hours. Cool. Later that day I checked my email and noticed that there was an email from Angie's List. So I logged on and SidePro had emailed me... on the same conversation that I had started when I was asking for a quote.... that they supposedly never got. They were explaining that they didn't have my phone number and that there was a scheduling snafu. It's interesting that now they can see the emails that I sent on Angies's list that they never responded to. And they didn't have my phone number but somehow managed to call me. Now I'm getting suspicious. So, 24 hours comes and goes and I don't hear from Sam. So, I sent him an email asking when I could get a quote. He calls me back the next day and leaves a voice mail saying that quotes take 24 -48 hours. I'm thinking then you should have said that before. The next day I get a "quote" from Sam saying that it will cost $68/hour plus the cost of materials. Now, I know that Sam is new to this estimator job but I think anyone reading this would agree that that is not a quote. So I emailed him telling him as much. Asking how many man hours will it take. How much are materials? Etc... He emails me back saying that my less that 100 sf project is going to cost $68/man hour. Times 2 men. Times 8 hours so that is 16 hours at $68/hour/man plus the cost of materials (I already had the siding, all we needed was the flashing, some nails/screws and 4 pieces of trim) the total project was going to cost between $1500 and $2000 and they couldn't get to it before November. I was shocked. When I talked to the original estimator Calvin he made it sound like the whole project was going to cost me less than $800. Now, I know he didn't lay eyes on the project but what I'm asking for is not a complicated project for people that do this regularly. So, I left with the feeling that SidePro really just didn't want to do my project. They had issues getting in touch with me, they sent out a newer estimator, his quote was seriously high for what the project is. I just feel like they could have just told me they were too busy and not able to do it. It would have saved all of us time. But, I guess if I needed the project done bad enough and I was willing to pay what they asked then it would benefit them in the long run. There were just too many weird things that happened that make me not trust them. It's a bummer too. They have great reviews. I'm guessing they do a great job with big projects. But if you have something small to be done. I'm not thinking these are your guys. Unless it's November-March.

I called the manager Duane Tidball and explained the problem. In less than an hour, on a Sunday he was here inspecting the attic a roof. Quickly discovered the sewer vents had not been properly sealed (only reason I gave tem a B for quality). He hopped in his truck to get some wet-apply sealant and was back and done in less than an hour. While he was here he pounded in a couple of loose gutter nails and used that same sealant to fix a couple of gutter leaks. Awesome response and service. He will be back in a couple of days to repair the drywall on the ceiling.

Needless to say, I will not be recommending this company to anyone.
