Great. Same day. Great guy Lenny. Very detail oriented and found pieces that needed replacement and took the initiative to replace other damage without even asking. Love this company. Used them twice and they have gone above and beyond the typical company. Wish they did other work.
Description of Work: Strategically replaced rotted sills near basement. They placed the glass block about 10 years ago and there was some rot from being close to the ground, probably should have gotten composite originally. They removed the rotted wood and replaced newly primed product in a day, three lower window pieces.

We called to get a advice and an estimate on replacing old ugly glass next to the front door of a 1970s split-entry home. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and receive options. The block and installation is more expensive than anticipated, but seems competitive. When we made the appointment to have it installed, they showed up and completed the job as planned. The quality of the work is outstanding. We're very happy with the outcome and highly recommend Seattle Glass Block.

Overall very happy with the product after hiring a contractor to fix the installation.
Description of Work: We had multiple windows installed by Seattle Glass Block. The windows are great, let in lots of light and provide privacy so you don't need to cover them with window shades.Their installation is very poor, we had to have them come back twice and in spite of voicing our specific concerns, those complaints were not taken care of. They used poor quality wood for the framing and you could see the line of adhesive from inside the house. It really detracted from the beauty of the window. We ended up hiring a contractor to fix it.I would really recomomend this product but would advise to have the work done by a professional.

Response from SEATTLE GLASS BLOCK
My name is Cara Wright and I'm one of the owners of Seattle Glass Block. In looking back on our records I do show doing a job for [member name removed] around this time. I also have a document that is signed by a [member name removed] authorizing Seattle Glass Block to run the balance owing on the credit card. Our phone logs, email and call back log do NOT show any further communication with this customer. I'm not sure what the issue was but I tend to think it wasn't my company that performed the work [member name removed] was unhappy with. I've also double checked with the installers and the project manager; none of whom remember this customer or any issues on the job. I'm not sure how we can go about correcting an issue we knew nothing about, but I pride myself in owning a business with integrity. I would love to discuss this review at any time. Sincerely, Cara Wright V.P. Seattle Glass Block Windows, Inc. 425.483.9977

It turned out very well. They were very helpful. A guy from the back spoke with us who knew about the wedi board and installed it. He gave us a lot of helpful tips on how to install it ourselves. They were knowledgeable.

They were fantastic. They were so helpful. I would recommend their services to anyone. We will be going back to purchase more parts. They are an absolutely fantastic company. They gave us a lot of information. They are a really great company to work with .
Description of Work: We were finishing our bathroom. They had some old glass blocks we wanted to use. They showed us how to clean them up, use them, and they installed the blocks. They also showed us how to install these caps and how to open a wall at the end of the shower.

The Seattle Glass Block Crew arrived on time and put in place extensive plastic sheeting and padding inside our bathroom and an extensive scaffolding to the window location outside our house. The crew worked consistently and finished the work in one day. Their cleanup was thorough and complete. The window and its installation are of excellent quality. We heartily recommend Seattle Glass Block.
Description of Work: We emailed Seattle Glass Block for a quote on replacing an approximately 3ft by 5ft, 22 year old, second story, bathroom glass block exterior window. They estimated the approximate cost by return email and noted that it was subject to an on-site review. We agreed to this and they sent out a specialist to make the the on-site review and firm quote. The final estimate noted and added a new piece of exterior trim, which we would be responsible for painting. We accepted the final quote and authorized the work.

They were very informative. They have a video thing I can watch on how to install. They actually drew it out for me, and they cut up the little plastic pieces and showed me how to do it. I did some research and found out that they are the only store in town that had a variety of glass blocks to choose from including special ones, rounded off ones, etc. They stock the thinner glass block, which is easier to work with. I showed them the pictures of my bathroom space including the measurement of the intended shower wall, and they provided me appropriate glass blocks for that.

Overall, excellent service and product. Scheduling the initial assessment was about a one week wait, and then another 10 days for the customized windows. However, pricing and quality is worth the wait. Estimate can in an itemized fashion for professional installation and without installation. Window prices were relatively the same as Home Depots online windows (that were not customized at all to your window size) and the installation guide is easy to do.
Description of Work: Had Troy provide an estimate on two customized glass block windows for the basement.
