The project started on time and ended on time. It entailed our Keystone project manager coordinating the entire project which involved a total of 10 other vendors. The end result is exactly what we had hoped for. The quality of the work on the kichen and baths is outstanding. From day one our project manager was present on the job every single week day. He not only did a wonderful job installing the beautiful new kitchen and baths, but also made sure the other vendors involved were there when they should of been in a timely and effecient manor. Our friends and new neighbors were amazed that there were no lags when nothing was happening
Description of Work: Keystone supervised the complete remodeling of a residence which will be serving as our retirement home. This entailed the complete refurbishing of the entire interior of the home which of course included completely new kitchen and bathrooms (Keystone's specialty).

The work Dan did was outstanding. He was very easy to work with and when asked gave his opinion on what he thought would look good. He went out of his way to make this a good experience.
Description of Work: Complete kitchen remodel. We had new cabinets and granite counter tops installed. Also installed new flooring and appliances. They installed a few new outlets and did some drywall work.

We love our new kitchen and felt the price was reasonable for the quality we received. The remodel took longer than expected and there was an issue with the final price because of a misquote for the flooring. We felt the project could have been better managed and completed in less time, but overall we are satisfied with the result.

Thank you for your feedback. I am very concerned when a client is less than 100% percent satisfied and I will take a close look at what we could have done to have achieved a perfect rating so that we can better serve all of our valued customers. I will also revisit this project to see if there is anything currently needing attention. Our clients are our most important resource and we very much want to be the best in the industry for quality, value and service!

The installer was meticulous and did a great job. However, it took a long time to finish because the company would take him off my job to work on someone else who was running behind.
Description of Work: They gutted the kitchen and replaced the cabinets and countertops. They also redid the flooring and put in new appliances.
Susan Whittenbrook did the initial consultation, and Chris did a second walk through to prepare to begin the work. I thought I would need the cabinets and drawers replace, but she determined that I probably just needed the fronts replaced. The countertops were cheap and had defects, so she suggested (and I agreed) I may want to replace the countertops (which would be a good time to replace the sinks - she showed me where I could go for great prices). I had some corner cabinets with alot of dead space. Chris said he could try to get some half moons, but noted with the narrow cabinet drawer, they probably wouldn't be able to. Later, he came to me with the idea of replacing the corner cabinets without dividers and 3/4 moons, so that all the space could be utilized, so I went with that. I went with Susan to look at granite for the countertops, and found the one I liked. She later informed me that the type I had chosen would be a bit more expensive, and thicker and we could look for a different one (which I declined, as I loved the one I chose. Chris noticed that the existing facing was not would but a patterened paper. He was concerned that the oak would not be the same color. When he came out to look; indeed, it clashed. Because he had not noticed this, he offered to reface at half price. They kept me apprised of everything that was being done at every stage. The work was done very professionally, protecting the rest of the house, and cleaned up daily. While I realize I have nothing to compare it to, I am extremely happy with the work and the outcome.
Description of Work: Replaced cabinet doors and drawer fronts, countertops, 2 drawer replacements, 2 corner cabinet replacements.refacing. In kitchen and bathroom.

We were extremely satisfied with the vendors Keystone Kitchens recommended and would definitely contact them again if we are doing a larger project.
Description of Work: Susan @Keystone Kitchens provided us with the names and companies she recommended to complete our kitchen remodel since we were not replacing our cabinets.
We found Keystone Kitchens via Angie's List and internet searching. It seemed like they were indeed focused on kitchens and had a great Angie's List reputation. We liked the idea of a company that had design staff, their own in-house cabinet shop, installers and access to reputable subcontractors. We ended up not getting other bids. Dennis helped up with design options. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in refining our ideas. He appropriately guided us in our choices. Susan was helpful with granite selection. Chris B. was our engineer and he performed extensive measurements and prepared detailed drawings and specs. He was thorough and communicated well. Kelii was our project manager and principal installer. He was assisted by Keystone plumbing, tile and drywall specialists when needed. The tear down / removal of old cabinets and appliances went well, and Kelii was very good in keeping us advised of timing and next steps as the installation progressed. I was impressed and reassured by his attention to detail. Subcontractors were used for electrical and gas plumbing revisions. The subs did good work. We are very impressed by the quality of the cabinets and the hardware used. The granite countertops were supplied by NW Granite as part of our Keystone contract and the countertops look great. The end product was a very nice, high quality, beautiful new kitchen. The estimated project length was 4-5 weeks and it took 4. The only significant concern that arose during the project was a significant variance in the granite countertop allowance in the bid and the quoted cost of the granite we chose. However, that was overcome by Keystone by using NW Granite as an apparent alternative granite fabricator. We very much appreciated Keystone helping us keep within our budget. Keystone adds 20% markup to the subcontractor charges but that was well spelled out and noted to us up front. The charges from them seemed generally reasonable for the work performed. We were given the option of choosing our own subs for the electrical and gas plumbing revisions. At the end of the project the owner Chris W. did a detailed final inspection and gave us a very good feeling that the company will stand by its work well into the future.
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel including removal of old cabinets / sink / countertops. Some refacing of cabinets but mostly replacing with new. New granite countertops and tile backsplash. Revision of electrical wiring and gas plumbing for appliances. New appliances installation.

One of the best decisions that we ever made was when we hired Keystone Kitchens for our kitchen renovation. We had been planning this project for about six months and had spoken to 3 other companies that specialized in this type of work. Only 1 of the 3 was comparable from the aspects of cost, design counselling and leaving us with confidence in their ability to deliver our vision of function, quality and aesthetics. We are now absolutely certain that we chose the best company for the job. From our first meeting with Susan it was apparent that she was a knowledgeable designer. Her counselling and suggestions were practical and appealing, and in a very short period of time we were able to finalize a design. The finishing design details were suggested to us by Chris, after he completed his detailed measurements. Susan further assisted us in sourcing hardware that we chose to purchase separately. Even though it was not Keystone's responsibility, their project manager, Jim, came to our assistance with very sound advice and an offer of advocacy when we raised questions about another contractor that we had hired. Without diminishing our appreciation for those that we have already mentioned, we have to say that star of this project was Keystone's cabinet maker, John. We have never been so comfortable with a contractor in our home as we were during the time that John was renovating our kitchen. We have never seen anyone produce such high quality work, so quickly, and with so much concern for the household where he was working. We are sure that Keystone Kitchens is already aware that John is a talented craftsman and a great corporate ambassador, but we feel that this cannot be overstated. We enjoyed having him in our home, and will always be grateful for how he addressed all of our questions, the excellent advise that he offered and the beautiful, well-crafted kitchen that he built for us. It was our experience that everyone at Keystone Kitchens is totally committed to care and quality. This became evident during our initial meetings and continued to become even more apparent during the construction and final inspections that completed our project. In the future we would never consider using anyone else.
Description of Work: 1)Provided design suggestions & counselling. 2)Provided recommendations for hardware sourcing. 3)Assisted with overal project management. 4)Renovated existing kitchen with additional new cabinets, remodelling and refacing old cabinets, and installing new acessories, all new doors and hardware. 5)Made us happy.

The detailed discussions and advice, with multiple consultations, before the work began, was extremely helpful. The expertise and time provided by Barbara King and Chris&Sue Wittenbrink allowed us to choose materials and patterns that we are very happy with. Barbara King's visits during the installation process were much appreciated. The service coordination by Jim during the installation steps was reassuring at all times. Tom did most of the installation and explained what he was doing to reassure us. Tile specialist Mark also did a great job. Everything fits perfectly and looks great. We very highly recommend Keystone Kitchens without reservation. They will really help their customers get a feel for the different possibilities. Also, they are exceptional craftsmen and highly professional.
Description of Work: Provided and installed new cupboard doors, countertops, and decorative slate and durable crystal-type vertical tiles all around the kitchen, as well as installing a nice new sink. After the kitchen installation we also contracted with Keystone for two solid wood doors in the entryway.

From the first meeting with the designer to the last meeting to go over the project we were beyond pleased. The work was outstanding! They showed up when they said they would and they left when they said they would on a daily basis. They cleaned up every single day and were very aware not to leave anything on the floors or where our dogs could get hurt. They helped us with every single aspect of the design, we could not be happier with the results.

Keystone did a great job with the remodel, on time and on budget and we are very happy with the result. Especially our project manager/installer (Tom) was outstanding and a pleasure to have around. On time every day, responsive, very detail oriented, left the site completely cleaned up every day and he did excellent work installing the new kitchen and working around obstacles like walls that were not completely level. Cabinets are very high quality and we feel that we got real great value and high quality craftsmanship. The stand behind their product, we had two doors that were not completely level, got those exchanged without any questions. The process for the complete demolition and installation of the new kitchen went smooth, a bit over four weeks from start to finish which was significantly faster than the initial estimate of six to eight weeks... great thing when you are without a kitchen. Would go with them again without hesitation. Update... one thing that bugs me is that actually nobody ever followed up after the job was complete, would expect that as a courtesy.

I'm not sure why the client added an update that we did not follow up after completion. I actually did do a thorough inspection with the client present at the end of the project and sent my installer back to take care of a few punch list items. I typically would not re-inspect unless specifically asked to do so.

So far, so good. My husband says they are on Angie's List and they are highly rated. We were impressed with the designer. He gave us some ideas that we haven't thought of and he was really helpful with the questions that we had. He was very direct with things that he knew we should do, and gave us a lot of leeway for things so it was more of a personal choice for us. He told us the cupboards should go to the top without any question and we should stain our windows white. I had them in question for a while. The things that we needed him to be very direct about, he was and he offered some good suggestions and places where he thought just to make room for our personal choices. He was really willing to let us see that. They seemed really professional, they are really easy to work with, and very accommodating. We are thinking of 2 different stains and one was a lot less toxic because it is a water stain. This guy is willing to come back this week for the final estimate and bring what the cupboard will look like with the water-based stain and what the regular stain would look like, and h4e was accommodating that way. I feel like I could have a little bit more assistance with the countertops. They knew the look we were going for, but it was a lot of us trying to find that color ourselves. If someone had said this is where you find this color, that would have been helpful.
Description of Work: We had an initial meeting with Keystone Kitchens in January where we've met with the designer and then they came and did the measurements of the kitchen a couple of weeks ago, but they haven't started with the demolition yet. They will be doing a complete kitchen remodel with cupboards, counters, they are moving stove for us and they are moving the refrigerator so they will be doing some electrical work, and putting the backsplash except the flooring.
We have never had any remodeling done so this was a new experience. Our house is only 13 years old and it hasn?t needed a lot of changes or updating. But we knew we wanted a better kitchen, so we started our remodel project by meeting several companies and designers. Bids were all over the map and they were hard to compare, as it was challenging to figure out what was included in each estimate and what would cost extra. But Dennis Delaney of Delaney Kitchen and Design / Keystone Kitchens stood out as he really listened to what we had to say. We immediately recognized the value of his design suggestions and guidance, and his level of expertise and experience was impressive. It did not take long for him to earn our trust, and unlike some of the other bids and designers, we felt comfortable spending money with him and who he represented. Dennis drew up plans and came over a few different times to work on changes, and he spent so much time with us that when we had a final draft, we were certain we made all the right choices. Once we decided to move forward, Keystone Kitchens owner Chris, sent over our project lead and engineer, Mike. He was another member of this team who really listened to what we had to say. He offered his suggestions and guidance from a construction and logistical angle, and he quickly gained our trust and respect. Mike?s knowledge and understanding of what Keystone Kitchens could do, matched with we wanted and expected with our remodel plans, was most impressive. (He even told us to make extra freezable portions of meals before the remodel so we could have microwavable food when we had no kitchen!) Mike paired us with our Keystone Kitchens primary installer, Lee. The first couple days we woke up early, showered and got dressed, and secured the dogs before he arrived. (Before we signed on with Keystone Kitchens we called several of their references, and everyone answered questions about my main concern - that their staff was trustworthy, reliable, competent, and took pride in their work like craftsmen.) By the end of the first week, we (and our dogs) trusted Lee like was a family friend. Lee was such a diligent worker with knowledge, experience, and integrity, and giving him key/access to the house caused us no stress. Mike and Lee had a schedule showing what they planned to have done on a daily basis for the entire eight week project. Lee showed up on time every day (he would let us know if he would be arriving outside the normal 7:00 ? 8:00 window) and he cleaned up at the end of every day, constantly sweeping and vacuuming during the demolition process. He hung plastic to contain dust, and taped down floor protection to protect the hardwood floors. On Friday afternoons he would even tidy up his tools and other supplies as he knew we would be taking pictures of the progress during the weekends. Lee gave us his emergency contact information but we never needed it. (He assured us that if something were leaking or anything seemed urgent, we could contact him.) This really helped us understand his dedication to our project. We saw how he had a greater attention to detail than even us, and he fixed and adjusted things we wouldn?t have noticed or cared about. Originally worried about having strangers in the house, when it was over it was refreshing that Lee from Keystone Kitchens was the kind of guy we?d have a beer with on a Friday after work. The kind of guy you?d have over on the weekend helping you with a home improvement or repair project. All of the contractors who came over to supplement Lee?s work (electrician, drywaller, HVAC/duct workers, and granite installers) were people Mike and Lee knew, as they all work closely with Keystone Kitchens. Everyone was as friendly and trustworthy as Lee. If we had to run errands while they were working, there was no stress having them in the house while we were away. They also helped us coordinate our hardwood floor refinishing and adjusted their schedule to accommodate the floor contractors. When we had to be out of the house, Lee stopped by to check on the floor progress and made sure the house was secure at night. When the remodel was done we ended up with something that looks like it should be in a kitchen magazine! Thank you Dennis, Chris, Mike, and Lee!
Description of Work: Kitchen remodel to a Murray Franklyn house built in 2000. Replace all cabinets with new Bellmont 1900 series and add new granite counter tops with full height back splashes. We chose Keystone based entirely on ratings on Angie's List and could not be happier. My husband and I visited the Bothell showroom, met Susan and were immediately impressed by her warmth. She scheduled us an appointment with Karen, whose expertise and enthusiasm for her work were obvious. Two of her suggestions, relocating the refrigerator and putting in a larger window, made an enormous difference. Her ability to help us pick the perfect cabinets, stain, granite and flooring was amazing. She was also eager to introduce us to local stores we, as new arrivals in Seattle, were completely unaware of. I greatly appreciated her willingness to answer questions and provide suggestions. Mike, our lead contractor, was very helpful in explaining what the next steps would be. This was our first experience hiring someone else to do a remodel and Mike made me feel like no question was too silly. Kelii, the job contractor is an absolute treasure. His attention to detail, concern to ensure all work was done to the highest level of quality, and daily updates on what we could expect next enabled us to put our complete trust in him. I was even more impressed with his abilities when Karen and Chris came by for the final walk-through and couldn't find anything that needed adjusting. I can't speak highly enough about Keystone Kitchens. Our experience was fantastic from beginning to end. The focus is truly on customer satisfaction, and it shows in every encounter. The new kitchen is a delight to work in, and we have Keystone to thank for that.

It was excellent. The only complaint we had was that it took a little longer to get the final estimate back but they put a lot of time into measurements and talking with us to see what we wanted. Other than the length of time to get the estimate back, everything else was great. The estimate was $34,000 which seemed a little high. Aside from the wait time, he was good about getting back to us to answer questions.

Work was well done. Ordering was poorly executed and a job that should have taken 2 weeks took over 6 weeks. Some damages was done to the hardwood floors and Keystone Kitchens say that they did not do the damage. The installer said the tape had done the damage and the owner refuses to acknowledge that. Too bad for us.

Response from Keystone Kitchens, Inc.
We are certainly disappointed when we don't achieve an A rating. We did try to contact the client last week so our field manager could inspect the flooring in question but there was no response from the client by phone or email. In our defense, my installer masked a small area of existing flooring next to a cabinet with the proper blue painter's tape. The tape was not left in place more than a day but the floor finish lifted when it was removed. This can only be due to an improperly applied finish on the floor which was done by others prior to our simple cabinet refacing project. The correct procedure would be for the client to call on their floor finishers to warranty their work. The project did not take 6 weeks. The project was done in two weeks as planned and a few cabinet doors that were reordered arrived and were installed two weeks after the project was completed.

We accidentally scratched a gorgeous kitchen cabinet door, about a year after Keystone Kitchens did such a beautiful remodel for us. It was unsightly and we were mortified!!! We emailed Susan and she sent one of her experts right away to take a look at it and they said they would need to take it back to the shop. We asked if they could get it back in time for visitors arriving the next week, and they said they could do it! Wow! After the wonderful remodel job they performed for us about a year ago, we continue to feel like we not only hired the best kitchen remodel team in the area, but also a partner to keep our kitchen looking wonderful! We're impressed and wanted to share this with Angie's List! Many thanks to the team at Keystone Kitchens! Sincerely, Mike and Cindy Smith

Keystone came out to give us a bid very soon after we contacted them. After talking to them, we decided not to get any additional bids because we felt good about theirs and they had such a good rating on Angie's List. I liked that the cost for the job wouldn't change if they ran into unexpected problems, which they did. The kitchen designer we worked with (Chris) was great. He came out several times to make sure he had all of the details correct and was really good at staying in touch and answering questions as they came up, both before and during the project. Our project lead, Kenny, arrived on time the first day of the project and was such a great guy! He was very professional, personable and easy to work with. He was kind to my kids and patiently answered their questions, and always had an answer to my many questions too. His work looks great thanks to his attention to detail and commitment to quality. He always straightened up before leaving for the day and made sure we had lead time for any decisions we had to make. I can't say enough about Kenny - he was like part of our family for the month he was here. The tile guy (Mark?) was great too, and did a very nice job on our glass tile backsplash. I enjoyed having him around as well! The project was initially supposed to take about three weeks but took just over four weeks due to some cabinet issues that came up and a few other small snafus, but overall the remodel progressed well and I was very happy with the timeline. It was done in plenty of time for us to prep for our big Christmas Eve celebration, which was our absolute deadline!
Description of Work: We had our smallish galley-style kitchen remodeled. Work included: removing all old appliances, countertops and about one third of the old cabinets; refacing all remaining cabinet surfaces; replacing all remaining cabinet doors and drawer fronts; building and installing several new cabinets and drawers; amending remaining cabinets to correct (square) measurements; installing new granite countertops; installing glass tile backsplash; installing new sink, disposal and faucet

We are very happy with it. They had design consultants. They had excellent tradesmen who were here. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. They did it on the schedule that they provided us and within the budget that they provided us and I thought the price was very good. I would recommend them.
Description of Work: I used Keystone Kitchens. They did a kitchen remodel for us. I actually had them come back and do another piece for us.
Timing was critical and they bent over backwards to meet my timeline and coordinate with the flooring and ensure minimal disruption to my family. They were very good about cleaning up their work areas. When my flooring got pushed out they worked with me to reschedule other aspects of the project. it was a complicated process because we were using existing cabinetry and layout so we were problem-solving along the way. The day they were grouting the tile our well system went down and we had no water. Mark dealt with it and said if he had 2 buckets of water he could get it done. And he did!! I told them I needed it all done by Christmas and they made it happen. He was there on December 23rd sealing the tile which was the final step. Great Job Susan and Chris. Thank you!!!
Description of Work: I needed a kitchen update in conjunction with the replacement of all of our flooring and appliances in our house. I called several other companies and was advised it would be 3 to 6 months before they could even come and give me a bid. I was not waiting 6 months for new flooring. I called Keystone and they came to our house within 5 days. Susan suggested I go to Houzz.com to get some ideas before our meeting. She was very punctual, professional, she took the time to understand my needs and didn't try and upsell me. She told me exactly what I needed to do and where I needed to go to select granite, plumbing, appliances. They removed my island before the floors were redone. Then they came back and placed it in the kitchen before securing it so I had time to decide where I finally wanted it. I made changes along the way and they were great about telling me what the cost would be. They installed new granite countertops, removed the 1st row of tiles on the backsplash and installed a mosaic. Installed a new sink and faucet, water line to the new fridge, wine refrigerator and electrical. Extended my island for the wine fridge and matched the current hickory cabinetry perfectly.

From design through demo through final walk-through, Keystone's personnel were communicative, courteous, helpful, and always committed to getting it right and pleasing us. I was very impressed with the entire process, and with Dave's work to hang the cabinets, install the doors, and do all the finish work on them, in particular. Very exacting, and he always had a can-do attitude, even with our very un-square floors and walls. He made it all look fantastic. He also served as the site supervisor, being there whenever the electrician, counter-installer, or tiler needed to do work. He worked (and helped the electrician to work) easily around our dogs, whenever access to the electrical panel was needed. While the tiler did a great job overall, he must have been interrupted right at the end of his job, because he missed a spot finishing the grout on one edge of the tile field. But Dave touched it up, and it looks beautiful. There was a little "oops" about the water filter that we intended to save. It got misplaced offsite (and was thought to be discarded), so I purchased a new one. The old one turned up, but by then the new one was installed. So they gave me a credit for the new one and all the new fittings I had to buy for it. I most highly recommend this company for kitchen remodels.
Description of Work: The designer came and discussed with us how we use our kitchen, and we talked over many possibilities for the remodel. With the funds we had available, we decided against removing walls, instead replacing cabinets and adding new ones, as well as rearranging stove and sink a little, plus adding some outlets and lighting. We changed our minds shortly afterward about the wood we wanted, in plenty of time before they began building cabinets. Demo day: They removed from the walls all our existing cabinets (which dated probably to the 70s). They gave us the chance to save any we wanted, some of which we gave away on CraigList rather than have them hauled to the dump. We wanted our existing faucet and water filter saved, but not the sink, so they disconnected all that and set it aside. We found a big hole in the drywall that had been covered by a small cabinet not being replaced, so they patched it and textured it to match the rest of the wall. They mounted all the new cabinets and enclosed the sides of the fridge. They brought in an electrician for the wiring work. There were a few small glitches with the wiring, but they made it right. We had laminate counters installed. And we added a tiled backsplash to the remodel.

The kitchen designer came first and layed out plans for an improved set of cabinets. We chose quarter sawn cherry as the material -- stained to look like teak. Very plain doors... we wanted it to look like furniture. The remodel was supposed to start the first of July but they were running behind and their supplier hadn't ordered the facing material. For the 3 week delay, the owner gave us 11 easy close drawers for free. I am glad he did because I love them. The men who worked on the removal and install were all great. They were very considerate about keeping our floors protected and dust out of the rest of the house. The remodel was supposed to take 4 weeks but it took more like 10 weeks due to various delays. Getting materials, redoing some of doors and drawers due to errors, etc. They did keep us informed along the way and the owner gave us more freebies such as new slide out shelf drawers, LED under cabinet lights, and back splashes. I figure he gave us over $3500 worth of upgrades. One bay of our garage was used as a work space. We set up a mini kitchen upstairs with small refrigerator, hotplate and microwave and lots of paper plates. And ate out a lot. The kitchen looks fabulous. We have so much more storage room and easy access. The finish on the doors and drawer fronts is great -- the water just beads right up. Easy to just wipe off. This company is a pleasure to work with and we highly recommend them for bath or kitchen remodels. The owners and staff are great. Wish we had done this years ago.
Description of Work: This was a kitchen remodel. They removed the old counter tops and some of the old cabinets. Keystone built some new cabinets, refaced old ones and redid a base cabinet that wasn't a good design. Installed new easy close drawers and all new doors and drawer fronts. A subcontractor installed the granite countertops. Keystone installed the new sink, dishwasher and down draft stove which we purchased separately. They also did some minor drywall repair.
