Description of Work: Keystone kitchens did a complete remodel of my kitchen between June and August of 2015. I started putting the design together December of 2014 allowing myself lots of time.I work for a school district and wanted to get the project done over my summer break.I managed to break my foot in March and couldn't drive making all the last minute tasks challenging. Despite having to use a scooter to get around, the work started on schedule and was complete the early in August. The kitchen turned out beautiful. The craftsmanship of Mike Simonsen is amazing. Jim Engelstad did the coordinating addressing any concerns. Susan Wittenbrink directed me to some great suppliers for flooring and backspashes. I don't know that Keystone has the best prices. They guarantee their work for 5 years. They were quick to fix any problems as they arose. Mike was on the job about 8 am every morning and did his best to keep any mess to a minimum. He even had to deal with some yellow-jackets he found in our attic when he was raising our ceiling.

Description of Work: I had my original 1953 kitchen completely removed and replaced. I really enjoyed working with Jada Lee on the design. We revised the plan quite a few times and found one that fit my needs and budget. Working with Bill on the actual construction and renovation was also very pleasant. He was very pleasant and helped me find solutions to a few material and timing problems that came up. I am really enjoying my new kitchen.

Description of Work: I had my kitchen fully remodeled, all cabinets, flooring and electrical. They also removed a wall, put in a breakfast bar and new sink. We did the demo for the kitchen and kept most of our appliances (fridge, oven and dishwasher. A significant portion of the cost was for electrical since we had to replace a panel. We also had our fireplace refinished and custom bookcase replaced. All of the materials are high quality and we are very pleased with the final product. My only complaint would be that the initial bid was not reflective of the final cost, the difference was close to $13,000. This was due to some things being left off that needed to be done and the fact that electrical cost is not included in the original bid.

Description of Work: Keystone brought new life to a kitchen that was 28 years old by refacing cabinets and adding new drawers and doors with soft close features. Kenny was the craftsman who did the work and he epitomized the word craftsman. His attention to detail was beyond reproach and demeanor was that of an ambassador to Keystone. We are so happy with our new kitchen and recommend Keystone to anyone looking to have done what we did. Thank you Keystone and thank you Kenny.

Description of Work: Keystone did new counters and cupboard and drawer fronts. They did great work and it's holding up well. We still stuggle with the caulk around our sink as they don't re-install sinks. Not their fault, just not part of the package.

This person is not a client of Keystone Kitchens. We have neither done any work for them nor given them an estimate. I am forwarding to Angieslist customer service so they can determine why they have a glitch in their computer system.

Description of Work: Keystone Kitchens located in Woodinville, WA was our selection for our kitchen remodel project. Our project commenced 4/14/14 and was substantially completed on 5/14/14. First and foremost, their approach to consultation was open and straightforward; Dennis D. did a terrific job of lending his experience in design toward increasing spaciousness and flow in the new design. Keystone sends their design and proposal with their contract upfront for review and approval. Our project managers: Chris W. and on-site, Mike S. did an exemplary job of keeping us informed of the phase requirements and owner responsibilities regarding purchase/staging of appliances and preparation in advance of work right down to recommending merchants for selection of tile, granite, pulls and knobs. Overall, the staff at Keystone Kitchens are very knowledgeable, highly experienced in design and build, and focused on the little details that make a newly remodeled kitchen great. I highly recommend consideration of Keystone Kitchens for your kitchen remodel. You will not be disappointed!

I liked the person that came out and did the estimate. It's hard sometimes, because all the companies that do bids seem like nice people. All of the bids were higher than the one I eventually went with, so the only issue with this company was the price.

I just can?t say enough good things about Karen! I had her come out to my home for a kitchen remodel consultation. I was referred to her by a very good friend (who recommended her to me even though she?d only met Karen once and was still having other contractors come out for estimates), and this friend was referred by a friend of hers who did have work done on her kitchen. Karen arrived right on time, and I told her up front we were considering three major projects ? new roof, new windows, and new kitchen ? and that I?d asked her to come out so we could decide what projects we could do first, considering need and cost. Karen?s a very cheerful, caring person. Unlike the other companies that came, she didn?t minimize my project even after she heard our budget (about $25,000). She said ?I give every project my all? and boy, is that true. She listened to me talk about my activities in the kitchen; the things I do and don?t like about the kitchen; in essence, she was attentive and listened to my needs ? for almost two hours! Karen came back a few weeks later (the first time she came was just before the year-end holidays) with an amazing plan, complete with 3-D portrayals, 2-D drawings and a nifty overlay sheet. Because she knew we were on a tight budget, she divided the project into two parts and priced them separately, even though she recommended that they be done together. She was the only person who bothered to come back to my home with her ideas and plans, and to spend time explaining everything to me. I talked with my friend?s friend (mentioned earlier) and when I spoke of Remodeling Stress, she said ?Oh, it was stress-free!? She continued to praise the workers? professionalism and cleanliness, and she had only glowing remarks about Keystone. I appreciated that when Susan (the administrative person) called me at 7pm to remind me of my appointment the next day, she said ?I hope I didn?t call too late in the evening.? So, I got the sense that Keystone Kitchens as a company is very courteous, professional, and generally mindful of their clients. Although I have only met her twice, I really enjoyed Karen?s company and expertise ? and her delivery is fantastic, she?s just so funny! The plan she came up with was about $2,000 over budget for the main section and an additional $7,000 for an optional feature, but for us it would have been well worth it. Considering the project included removal of soffits all around, shifting the fridge, removing a dysfunctional pseudo-pantry and part of a wall to add a whole section of cabinets, some floor work, installing new pantry, granite countertops, moving electrical/phone outlets, and custom-made cabinets, I felt the pricing was more than fair. Unfortunately, we discovered the roof was about to leak so we had to do that first and the kitchen remodel is on hold. When I informed Karen of this, she was very understanding and she said ?That?s OK, you can call us in a year when you?re ready.? I know that?s exactly what we?ll do, I will simply pick up the phone and call Karen!

The work started on time as contracted. They took such pride in our kitchen that to us, they became like family. We have been so pleased with every aspect of the project, that we would recommend,” Keystone Kitchens”, to anyone who wants fine work, at a right price, by a trust worthy contractor done on time with NO hidden agendas! The owner even did the final inspection.
Description of Work: Our kitchen was so bad, we had planned to move. However, the area where we live is beautiful. We pondered what to do? Then my smart and very competent wife had an idea. Let's redo the kitchen. All I could think of was $$$$$$ and dealing with high pressure sales people... the worst. However, from the moment our designer came in the door we knew,” Keystone Kitchens” was a CLASS act. The designer was extraordinary, (her name was Karen), she listened to every word my wife said, and then told us her ideas. She returned with a design that just knocked us out. She explained how the cabinets were built. Then the quoted us a price we could afford. They put everything in writing.

We were very favorably impressed with the professionalism of Keystone Kitchens and Scot Bohard. We felt extremely comfortable with him. He was well prepared for our meeting and immediately set us at ease with his helpful attitude and extensive knowledge about his company, their products, current trends in consumer choices, and issues related to marketability factors of updated kitchens. He explained the entire process to us and answered all our questions with patience. He made several good suggestions for our consideration. He then showed us some of the choices of cabinet doors and countertops. We found exactly what we liked among his samples. He carefully measured the kitchen and gave us alternate cost estimates based on our choices of different countertops (granite vs. formica). He carefully explained the timeline for scheduling the project and the length of the project itself. He than explained our required preparation for the job and the financial payment schedule. Within one working day he sent us a very detailed final cost estimate and a scope of work document indicating alternate choices based upon our selections. The document was very detailed and covered such things as protection, preparation, specific door types, moldings, and countertop choices. The document also detailed the terms of the installation. Keystone Kitchens offers a 5 year warranty on both parts and labor. If we had proceeded with the kitchen refacing project as originally planned, we would definitely have gone with Keystone Kitchen. We feel they would do an excellent job and their experience would insure a truly beautiful kitchen.
Description of Work: We called Keystone Kitchens of Woodinville, WA, to set up an in-home appointment. Within two days we met with Scot Bohart, a kitchen design consultant, to discuss our kitchen cabinet refacing project. Scot arrived on time and was very well prepared for our meeting. He was very professional and knowledgeable about their products and the entire refacing process. We met for over an hour. Scot answered all our questions about the company itself and explained how the process of kitchen cabinet refacing could improve both the appearance and marketability of the kitchen. He showed us samples of cabinet refacing materials and countertop choices. He performed the measurements for us and gave us a general estimate. He then emailed us a complete proposal and description of the work to be performed within one working day. He sent us two follow-up emails to see if we had any additional questions and/or concerns. Unfortunately, we were not able to proceed with our original plans.

What a pleasure it was working with Chris Wittenbrink of Keystone Kitchens. We found the ideal combination of someone who is scrupulously honest, competent, does what he promises and has an artist s eye with high standards. He was fairly priced and completed the project to our satisfaction. We had bids to reface our kitchen cabinets that were 30% higher and 5% lower and decided to go with Chris because of his prior experience as a long time supervisor with another major company. When the new doors for the cabinets were installed when he came to inspect and we thought a couple of them didn t match the others. Chris surprised us when he said the ones we thought were mismatched were the only good ones. The others had all been finished with a muddiness of color that he called unacceptable, so he ordered all new door panels at his own expense and installed them a couple of weeks later. All in all, Keystone gets our highest recommendation.
Description of Work: Refacing of kitchn cabinets, removal of some older cabinets which blocked a view, lifting the kitchen ceiling and installing recessed lighting to replace old dropped ceiling and flourescent lighting, drywalling adjoining ceiling to cover asbestos, installing downstairs bath cabinet.
