Not a second in our consultation session with Eric was wasted. Eric is sharp, experienced, and easygoing. He recognized a lot of structural details at a glance. One minute, I was talking about some of my interests unintentionally, and within the next five minutes, he had a new design idea incorporating that. We love our new house but hadn’t stopped worrying because the floorplan doesn’t work for us. However, Eric was able to generate brilliant ideas to “tame” the house to our own so quickly that it finally put our minds at ease. Now, I know that meeting with the right architect is not only illuminating but can also be pleasant.

Eric provided us with an initial consult to generate some ideas for our impending remodel. We were thrilled with what he provided us. He has an uncanny ability to walk into a room and provide a vision that takes into account flow and makes sense. Possibilities opened up for us that we would not have considered if not for Eric's insight. One can almost see the wheels turning in his mind as he considers how to best utilize a space. Highly recommend.

It was great to have Eric walk me through the ideas on how to achieve the best functionality in the limited layout we had at our home. I think we have found the best solution for the future of our home.

Meeting with Eric helped us put together a plan for remodeling our house that made sense, given the unique challenges of our house's current design and local zoning regulations. We used a quick start consultation package, which was definitely worth the investment. If you are looking into remodeling, I would highly recommend Eric's consultation. We have learned a lot, about what works and does not work with our ideas, how to stay in budget, and what to focus on.

It went perfect. I contacted Eric to set up an appointment for our bathroom design consultation. He was on time and listened to what we wanted to accomplish. He asked thoughtful questions and presented us with a couple of ideas that we hadn't even considered. After the appointment he drew the plans and we are now ready to contact contractors to get a remodel quote. It was definitely worth it.

We were trying to figure out how to get started on potentially adding a Master addition to our current house. Eric helped give us some advice on where to put it, about how much it would cost, and some insights into things to think about before we got started on our project. He was very professional and nice!

We found Eric on Angie's List and after a quick email and phone call scheduled an appointment. The bad news was what we wanted to do was very expensive, and parts of it might not even be possible. Eric didn't stop there. He dug into what we needed and came up with a solution that made much more sense than our original idea. His solution is far better and far less expensive solution than what we had been assuming. It was a simple solution but on that had evaded us for almost 15 years. We were thrilled with his work and only wish we had a bigger project to see what he could do with something meatier.

I had a great experience with Eric. We've been discussing finishing the basement for over a year and really know what to do next. Eric unblocked us. He worked quickly and thoughtfully with us to create an outline plan for what we could with the space. He listened carefully, but had his own ideas about what would and wouldn't work. I strongly recommend working with Eric.

Eric was just fantastic; he had very creative ways to keep improve the flow of the house without having to completely requiring the overhaul of the structural element of the house. He has provided us with detailed insight that would help think which direction we should head with the remodel plans. We will absolutely hire Eric as we execute on it.

Eric really did not see more than the two options that we had already thought of (apart from expanding out), but crucially, was very helpful in doing the measuring and working through the problems of the house to help eliminate one of the two options and show us why one was preferable to the other for reasons of likely cost, Seattle Code compatibility, and usability of space. He spent the full Coupon-alotted time with us just discussing the space and options and doing some quick measurements, as well as looking at the rest of the house (we had a lot of ideas and enjoyed the benefit of his expert eye and passing comment on them, even if they weren't our top priority bathroom issue - this was helpful to us), and then he came back at an agreed upon additional hourly rate to measure and work up a computer-drawn design that we could take to a design-build firm, contractor, or interior designer. His drawing included re-configuring our kitchen layout, as well, as the 1/4 bath would go in space previously allotted to the kitchen. He was very prompt, good with scheduling when we could meet, presents very well, is very professional in his demeanor, has a great, positive attitude, and his return of the finished drawing was likewise prompt and as we had discussed. My only complaint would be that he does not do small, one-room jobs as an architect, except within his coupon offering; instead, he offers a full-house/full-plan design option at a substantially (and understandably) more costly rate, so people who would like to plan as they go and pay for the planning of certain rooms/parts of a project as they go (i.e., a kitchen design this year/ 3 years later, a bathroom and master, etc.) may not find this architect to be the best fit. In other words, if I wanted to move forward on the project he drew out, Eric wouldn't move forward with us as the architect on the project - so we'd have to hire another professional (who may or may not be able to work with Eric's design). That said, Eric was very up-front about this in his initial call with me - and that call was very comprehensive and he did not count that time against the time I had purchased with him. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I liked his design sense and quick response.

Good at giving you an idea on what you need to do for remodel.

We were not happy. We did not like the ideas he came out with. He came out various times and did what he said he would do, but we were not really happy with the results. The price was fine. He is professional.

Drawings have now arrived. I was very happy with Eric's service. We are just outside his normal working area otherwise we would hire him for our next phase for sure. We will have to find someone closer, but we learnt so much from this brief experience with Eric. Highly recommended. Thanks Eric!

All delivered as promised and beyond expectations

Eric came to our house to provide consulting services for our potential remodeling plan. He has a talent for design and architecture for both indoor and outdoor space. He is not the only one to discuss our plan with us, but the ideas that he provided are one of the bests that I heard in the past months. He sees things that others did not see and think out of the box. We generally discussed the front entry, the kitchen, the master bathroom/walk-in closet, the stairs, and the master bedroom. He then provided a drawings for the kitchen plan, which was included in the $320 coupon that I purchased. I definitely see the value that he provided. He also provided alternatively solutions to accommodate our budget. The only thing that I regret is that I did not purchase his coupon earlier.

Despite some issues with Angie's list, Eric and I managed to connect and his visit was extremely valuable and thought provoking. I am looking forward to the official sketches but I am already feeling like I made the right decision just based on all the ideas he came up with.

It was okay. We're still trying to get him to come back and finish the other half. He did the first visit for half the funds. The second half should be a sketch, design or a plan. He has been unresponsive since then. The first half working with him was good. He needs to follow-up with me. From the verbal consultation, he was really good.

Met with us on site and discussed many remodeling options for our house that needs a lot of work and updating. Gave insight on feasibility, market value, and suggested a plan for moving forward. Then the architect talked to the city about any legal or planning constraints and emailed us a written report. Very professional with practical advice and a good eye for design & layout.

It was like drinking from a fire hydrant. Eric was prompt and walked the property with us. There were no questions that were too stupid to ask and he was informative and volunteered as much information as possible. His Quick Start package offers a 90 minute consultation and then a 90 followup. We have yet to utilize the second part of the package but he was flexible to meet with our general contractor or put some ideas on paper. If you desire to bounce some thoughts and ideas off of a true expert, Eric is worth a call.

This is a needed service. I think architects are used to approaching a remodel by first getting a blueprint for the whole house. Then they get creative. But it is costly for them to get the existing house measurements into AUTOCAD so they can start work. For a few hundred bucks, this guy will give you what you really need, an expert's opinion about what options are reasonable and what the tradeoffs will be. THEN, if it's really necessary to create blueprints, he will do that for extra money. This is the way an architect should work. We found him open to our thoughts and a good listener, as well as creative. I will use him again for this service. d

I would definitely recommend Eric. I had purchased an Angie's List coupon for 3 hours of architectural consultation fro $320. Great deal for what I was provided with! He was very easy to work with, was conscientious of my budget and was able to design a plan that gave the most "bang for my buck." My project entailed having stucco and vertical siding removed and replaced with horizontal Hardie Plank siding and having all of my windows trimmed out. I had contacted Eric to create a design plan that gave visual interest to my exterior and compensated for an odd roof line without changing the structural elements of my exterior. I also wanted a "style" that was cohesive with the remodeling we've done inside. Eric kept my budget in mind and created a great design with interest and details on both the front and back facades of my house. I had already hired a contractor to do the work so he also provided details of where I could find the materials he recommended, he offered to meet with my general contractor to go over the plans and came out to my house for another visit to make some design decisions during the project. After our initial meeting I also contacted him by email a few times to get his opinion on decisions that needed to be made, questions about material and for assurances that I was heading down the right path with some material choices. He was very quick to reply to emails and seemed invested in wanting my project to be successful.

We had a major kitchen remodel project and was offered the standard free kitchen layout service from the cabinet distributor. Our kitchen is small, as well as challenging, due to placement of windows and other constraints. The free layout service fell short of what we needed. We wanted to find an ?out of the box? solution that optimized the space and really looked for opportunity, so we hired Eric. He was quickly able to find a work-around, which involved constructing a small buildout into our garage space to help fit our large refrigerator. His guidance was transformative; our kitchen feels so much larger and open. We continue to be complemented by friends and family. Skip the cabinet guy?s advice and call Eric. He?s worth every penny at a fraction of the cost of most kitchen remodels.
